HELP about analog output video

Hello, I´m need help about analog output video in Premiere CS5 using Matrox RTX2. I need to crop a video with resolution in 1440x1080 to 4:3 in output analog. But what happens is wrong (I think). My video is in format anamorphic and the other option is 16:9 letterbox. Is there any way to crop the video without using effects. Thanks a Lot and sorry my bad english (my native language is Portuguese).

There are no 4:3 HD specifications.  You'll have to put the video into a normal SD sequence, and scale it down till the top and bottom of the video meet the frame.  That way the sides will be cut off.

  • Help about analog trig and external clock scan

Hi, there. I want to measure the engine cylinder pressure with an PXI6070-E card and BEI encoder. I have tried using Cont Acq&Graph ExtScanClk D-Trig.vi and Cont Acq&Graph ExtScanClk Soft A-Trig.vi , but they don't work. What I did was to connect a 50HZ pulse to PFI0 (analog triggering, I changed the code from digital triggering to analog triggering), and a 100K pulse to PFI7 (startscan), and an 50 HZ analog signal to ACH0. But the code always says: timeout. If I use internal clock, it works fine. Could you please give me some help? THANKS A LOT!

What I did was to connect a 50HZ pulse to PFI0 (analog triggering, I changed the code from digital triggering to analog triggering),
For encoder-based (synchronous) measurements, you want to connect the once-per-rev signal (encoder index) to the EXT TRIG input (I forget the PFI numbers), and the N-per-rev signal to the EXT. CLOCK input. Use the EXTERNAL DIGITAL + triggering option, and the EXTERNAL SCAN CLOCK option. Set the NUMBER OF SAMPLES TO ACQUIRE to match your encoder resolution and off you go.
The ANALOG trigger option scans the first ANALOG channel you specify, looking for a transition across the threshold you specify. It does NOT look at the DIGITAL signal in an analog way.

    Hi All
Has anyone a good example for synchronizing two MIO Boards over RTSI cable.
I found a lot examples to analoge input but nothing about analoge output.
    Thanks

    Hi Reto.
I posted to this once, but looks like it didn't make it. I checked the examples, and Ir eally didn't see anything that did what you wanted over the RTSI bus, so I made one. Check it out.

Does that happen on iMac's? Thx!

Try a hard reset. ( holding Power til it restarts)
Once to your desktop. Click the Apple icon >> About this mac >> More info>> Storage
Once you see what you have the most of. Try to see what you can delete.
Open up any folder>>all files>> or buy an external to store more data.
Once deleting make sure you empty your trash.
If you are new and its a new computer, you might need to bring it to a store for further assistence.

  • Output Video Playback Help

    Hello Again,
I first wanted to thank those who helped with my initial issue. I went through the 16 steps and was able to fix the blue hue over my output video. Now I have an issue where when I go to playback in the output video, it is very choppy or the video does not move at all and all you hear is the audio. Please help if you can. Thank-You
    Jeff

If you were sitting down at your computer and you added 3 clips to your timeline, went to play them back, and the video was choppy and lagging. What would you do in the program to fix that problem.
Assuming the use of DV media on internal hard drives specific to that purpose, I'd reboot.
If that didn't clear it up, I'd check my hard drives for fragmentation.
If that didn't work, I'd check other clips for comparison.
If that didn't work, I'd try a different project as a test, as well as various media players to see how well they handled playback.
If that didn't work, I'd try the same clips on another computer.
If that didn't work, then chances are I violated item one by not using DV media.

    Hi achyuth,
Thank you for posting on the National Instruments forum.
I am not sure what you are trying to do.  Are you trying to input and output at the
same time?  Are you just trying to
synchronize all of your inputs?  Do you
want them to run off the same clock?  If
you could, give me some more information so I can understand your problem

  • Question about voltage holding of multi Analog outputs

Hi, I'm programming my NI USB-6008 with V++.
Now I have a question. The device has 2 analog outputs.
When I set channel "ao0" to a certain voltage, then stop this task. Then start another task and set channel "ao1" to another certain voltage. When I do the second task, will ao0 hold the voltage set in the first task?
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Lowsfer-
Yes, the analog output state of AO1 will remain in the last state it was before the task was stopped.  As long as the device is not reset or the computer is not turned off, the analog output will maintain the last voltage you specified, regardless of what the other Ao channel is doing.
I hope this helps.  Best of luck with your application!

  • Output video is faster than preview?

    Hello everyone,
Im fairly new to after effects. So new in that it took me all day yesterday to create a simple 10 second clip with a gradient ramp and floating circle particles. Here is my issue. When I click on the play button in the "preview" box, it loads the 10 second clip with the little lime green line. After loading (I think its called rendering?), I am able to play the clip from start to end as many times as I'd like. When I do this, the clip plays at the speed I want. But when I add it to the render queue and export it, the clip is much faster. Im sure there is a solution to this beginner question of mine but I just cant seem to figure out how to slow the output video down to have the same speed as when I preview the clip. When I preview the clip, right about the "preview" box I get some text in red saying "fps: 11.404/30.00 (NOT realtime). So maybe It has something to do with the fps when I export it? So my rationale was, change the composition fps to 11.4, add to render queue, then export and maybe itll be the same speed as the preview but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You are not understanding at all how Video or After Effects works or how previews are generated. PLEASE, for your own sanity, spend a few minutes watching this series of videos on the Basic Workflow. That should point you to the right direction.
RAM preview (not accomplished with the space bar) may not ever be at full frame rate. This depends on your comp resolution and your system. You may have the comp window zoom factor set to 50% but your comp resolution set to 100%, which will slow down the rendering of a ram preview and can effect playback speed. You'll be more successful if you have resolution in the comp window set to automatic. The whole AE experience requires at least a couple of hours going over just the basics of the UI, previewing, and rendering or you will be forever frustrated and think that the software is not working when it is actually working exactly as it is supposed to.

  • How to convert analog SD video from VCR tapes to DVD

What is the simplest way to convert analog SD video signals from VCR tapes for input to a mac intel mini so that I can create DVDs? Any help would be appreciated.
    Owen

not sure about doing it on a mac mini, but based on the costs of the equipment needed to do it and the time, your best bet is to take your vcr tapes to costco and let them transfer them to DVD...
then editing pieces of the dvd's to make a compilation would be fairly easy using any number of software tools for the mac.

  • Which audio interface(s) for 16 to 20 analog outputs?

Hi. I wonder if anyone can help me...
I'm running Logic 7.2 on a black MacBook. For my inputs I am using the MOTU 8pre, as this is convenient especially when recording drums with my band... no scrambling together of pre-amps... no faff...
The thing is... I've been given a shed load of gear (literally), including a 24 channel analog mixing desk and tons of outboard rackmounted effects units/compressors/gates...
I would REALLY love to integrate the two systems, especially at the mixing stage, by routing my Logic tracks to the desk. Unfortunately, the MOTU 8pre only has a couple of analog outputs (+ headphone out).
To make this a venture worth undergoing, I'm going to need a minimum of 16 analog outputs. 20 would be great if possible.
I suppose my initial questions are:
    1. Can I daisy-chain 2 firewire audio interfaces (each with 8 analog outputs) to give me a total of 16 analog outputs?
    2. Bearing in mind I have a low budget, could anyone advise me on which units to get. I don't think I could afford any more MOTU gear, unless I find an amazingly low priced second hand item. What about Edirol or M-Audio?
    Thanks in advance.
    MS

    This is worth checking: http://www.ioneconnects.com/product.shtml
Based on new DICE II firewire chip with JetPLL technology (should have much lower jitter than regular firewire Audio devices that are not built on DICE II).
I believe that you can choose the configuration you need.
The only question for me is whether they are affected by apple's firewire streaming bug. But as I've heard that in the info of 10.4.9 SDK is a statement, that core audio bugs were repaired, I hope the offset streaming problem will be finally the past...
Man I am really considering this firewire snake, as it definitelly has many ins and outs - including 4 AES/SPDIF in and out!!!
I am going to upgrade my studio and two of those will probably give me enough ins and outs for all my needs (musicians + outboard hardware and a summing mixer). I was also thinking about Symphony (PCI solution seems to be still more stable than firewire) and some I/O "modules" from apogee, but that is much more expensive. And I 've read only positive info about the DICE II, so maybe I will give a firewire another chance...

  • How to get signal from analog input and send it to analog output (real-time)

    Hi everyone,
I am doing simple task in Visual C++ and I am using PCI-6221(37 pin).
Basically, I want to send same signal from 'analog input' to 'analog output'

    Go to Solution.

This is my code in C++, you can optimize it if it looks too messy. This code reads signal from analog input and outputs it through analog output.
To make this code work additional  include directories and library directories must be added from NI.
    I hope it helps someone.

  • What is "Analog Output - Built-in Audio"?

    Hi,
In Gnome System Settings -> Sound there are three pulse sinks: HDMI (Built-in Audio), Speakers (Built-in Audio), and Analog Audio (Built-in Audio).
When I plug-in headphones into the laptop, "Speakers" change to "Headphones". The behavior is what I want, but I was just confused as to what "Analog Audio" does? As far as I can tell it doesn't do anything. In Ubuntu 13.10 I didn't have the Analog Audio sink.
