Help about Warning Security IE 8.0

Hello Guys,
I need help about warning security IE 8.0.
When I try install a software from my webserver is display the following message:
I can't check the publisher.Are you sure install the software?
This file does not have a valide digital signature that verifies its publisher.
You should only install software from publishers you trust.
Well, I already enable:
Download signed ActiveX controls
Download unsigned ActiveX controls
Allow active content from CDs to run on user machines Enabled
Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid Enabled
Check for server certificate revocation Disabled
Check for signatures on downloaded programs Disabled
Is there somewhere I disable all settings warning's about IE or one specific GPO I need disable for this warning don't display for me?
In the same installation a lot of about file .cab are installed, only one specifc I don't have sucess.

Again, you can use allowCodeImport to block running script in the child.
Did you run your test from http:// The security rules are tighter there, and the loaded SWF should be calling from the main apps domain. It is my understanding that you’ve effectively done a WGET.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Help about changing the email of my security questions recovery

good day to all.
i have a problem, i can access all details on my apple id, buy apps on appstore, redeem appstore card change password and other stuff.
now, i want to buy in game purchases such as moba coins but it is asking for a security question that i have already forgotten.
the problem is the recovery email is not mine.

i cannot call apple because i am not on US right now. i cannot find out or see how to email apple support.

You won't be able to change the rescue email address until you can answer 2 of your questions, you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 - select the country where you currently are, and where your account is based.
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use

About Java Security

Hi...I wrote a simple java class and want to execute it through script. I read about this security stuff to take care of. If I run my java class as a standalone application, there is no problem. But when executing it as an applet, I get huge chunk of errors. Then to debug the errors, I tried running the standalone application with security manager i.e.Run with same security as applet
java -Djava.security.manager MyClass
java -Djava.security.debug=help MyClass
I have a few questions:
1. If running the application with security manager has no problem does it mean that I will be able to execute the applet without problem? I noticed that though I can resolve the error in standalone application but I am still seeing errors when run as an applet.
2.Can someone tell me what is the difference between signing a jar file and creating access rights using policy tool? I thought Java Plug-in is meant to ensure uniformity in security deployment so does it mean that creating access rights using policy tool is sufficient? Is there still a need to import certificates into browser?

If you are really running the application with the same security manager as an applet uses, then yes, whatever you can do in the app would work in the applet.
The signed jar provides a way of securing the jar file so that it can be determined that it comes from a trusted source and that the file hasn't been altered. Using a security policy to allow it to do normally disallowed actions does not provide that kind of security. The plug-in does provide uniformity (given the same JVM version) for many things, so one need not deal with bugs in a browser's built-in JVM (if one exists).
I would recommend using the signed applet anyway, because to do the security policy thing, the user has to alter it on their system. I don't believe you can just provide it with the applet itself, otherwise that's not a very secure system.

When I navigate to Air Browser based Help on our secure server via HTTPS, I get the following message:
Security Warning
Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?
This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS connection, which could compromise the security of thr entire webpage.
It seems like the Air components are trying to access something because if I access my Help pages directly, I don't get the warning. So...
Where is Air retreiveing external content, and how do I turn it off?

BTW: the select owa_util.get_cgi_env('REQUEST_PROTOCOL') from dual; returns http.
I changed the #HOST_PROTOCOL# in the region source, and then it worked well for the first time, if i took a refresh on the page the message box popped up again, going back to the region source the https was replaced with #HOST_PROTOCOL# again overwriting the changes i had made, it looks like the code is updated when the page is executed, sounds strange to me, so then i am back where i started.
The switch to https protocol was made by setting PlsqlCGIEnvironmentList REQUEST_PROTOCOL=https in dads.conf, BUT then we got back to the stage where the charts was not displaying at all and we have tride to setup crossdomain.xml and put at document root at apache but we have not been able to make this working.
We have a situation where it works and that is when https is put into region source code but this is overwritten.
The apache webserver is running on port 7777 and the https is handled in the firwall setup so i guess we have a reverse proxy setup or something like that.
Any idea why the #HOST_PROTOCOL# is overwritten?

i need some help about my nokia c6 handy, because i can´t use the WLAN over 3 minutes. Whats wrong with this Handy, i buy them yesterday.
My next problem is the GPS.
I don´t have a internet flat, thats the reason that i locked my internet.
But when i will navigate with the OVI Maps, the navigator find my "Own Position" 400 meters an another place, that i was sitting.
Please Help me!

For C6-00 Try going to Menu > Applications > Location > Positioning > Positioning methods - disable all except Integrated GPS, go outside away from tall buildings if feasible launch Ovi Maps and wait 20 - 30 minutes for device to obtain first positional fix.
For C6-01 Try going to Menu > Settings > Application settings > Positioning > Positioning methods - disable all except Integrated GPS, go outside away from tall buildings if feasible launch Ovi Maps and wait 20 - 30 minutes for device to obtain first positional fix.
Be warned however that relying solely on Integrated GPS can be a disappointing user experience due to compromises in GPS antenna size/shape within a mobile phone compared to stand alone sat-nav unit.

Assuming that you don't know your current answer(s), then from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5665 :
If you have three security questions and a rescue email address, sign in to My Apple ID and select the “Password and Security” tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers.
If you have one security question and you know your Apple ID password, sign in to My Apple ID and select the “Password and Security” tab to reset your security question.
If you have one security question, but don't remember your Apple ID password, contact Apple Support for assistance. Learn more about creating a temporary support PIN to help Apple confirm your identity when you contact Apple Support.

Hi, I'm looking for a good book about building secured webpages, the use of SSL etc.
Can't find much about this subject. Anyone?!

It depends on what you wish to do and which language you wish to use (php, asp, .net, jave, etc), also which server you will be using.
If you are new to the subject a good starting point would be a book on your preferred langages security, (e.g. PHP security, .net security), a simple search at any of the on-line book stores will deliver a long list (the newer ones are normally better as they cover the newer versions of the language).
As for building an e-commerce system (or similar), the above books and a good book in programming generally is also helpful, (ensure it covers processing on-line payments).
If you wish to build a 'ssl vpn', then I have found, "SSL VPN: Understanding, Evaluating and Planning Secure, Web-Based Remote Access" by Joseph Steinberg a good start.

Several questions about Application Security

Hello,
I have several questions about Application Security and perhaps I need a few tips...
I have a lot of users in a few groups which have access to my application! And the different groups should have only access to their pages.
In my application I use trees to navigate through the application.
So my idea is that i display different trees for the different user groups and restrict the user to access the URL....so the user can only see and contact "their" pages.
I know how to create the logic behind the trees, but how can I create the restricted URL access...
The "No URL Access" in the Session State Protection can not be used, because I use a lot of links in reports and HTML regions.
Is there another way to solve that?
But I am unsure if that is a "good" solution for my problem!
What do you think about that?
Am I going to do that too complicated?
Could that be done by authentication or authorization?
(By the way, I do not understand the differences between authentication and authorization. Can anyone help?)

I try the Access Control List and I think that is a very nice feature! Really good!
But now I am wondering, how I can create more privileges?
So that I have a few "end-user-roles" and then I can choose who have access to a page and who not!
Does anybody know how to do that?

I m a new guy in java programming and learn from many books.I m making a website and portal right now and dying need your help about DES.my portal (using java) requires somebody to make a login name and a password.I m done with the server and client things and rite now stuck with this "DES" stuff.
so I make some conditions and algorithm below..
1. when a user login,the password is encrypted.at this point,cleartext(id) and encryption (M,N) are involve.
2. then the key is changed based on algorithm.
3.the key changed by key(id) is received and the original text should be encrypted.
the algorithm
1. the original text x1.x2.x3.x4.x5.x6.x7.x8 (64 bits)
2. encypt the password
a. Each character is changed into an int type by the ASCII code, and let the 1st bit be an odd number parity bit.
b.The 1st bit of the 1st character in (IP) is set to '1', and the 8th bit of the 8th character as '64'.
c.the rest (IP) is like this

just ask about a simple program how to receive a
password from somebody and change it to a key..and
then confirm it with DES.Once again I have a problem understanding what you are asking.
Are you trying to use the password as a key to encrypt some 'standard thing' and place this encrypted value in a database? If so then look in the JCE for 'password based encryption' such as PBEWithMD5AndDes. This seems back to front to me but I can see nothing wrong with the approach since the 'standard thing' you would encrypt is in effect a key. If this is for a commercial application then I would find a security expert to evaluate your proposal!
In my experience it is more normal to encrypt the user's password with DES and store the result in the database. To do this just look in the JCE for DES encryption and consider using DES with CBC and PKCS5 padding. Also, consider encrypting the concatenation of the user's 'user name' with the password as this will (almost certainly) avoid having two encrypted values in the database that are the same even if two users have the same password.
For both of these you might consider using Base64 or Hex to turn you encrpted bytes into ASCII characters before trying to store them in your DB.

Does Apple ask for "help improve Apple Security" when new app is trying to be downloaded?

I was selecting an app on vh1 called the co-star app. I click it it then prompts for apple I'd password to allow the download. I put password in. The app pops up on my iPad screen. Then it starts to download. Then this window pops up n halts the downloading of that app. This window says " help improve apples security by completing this 3 question security thing. So I clicked cancel because I wasn't sure if apple does that or if it is a hacker looking for me to give 3 answers to these security questions. Can someone help me? I am a new IPad owner n I'm learning here. This is my first Apple device. So I appreciate any responses from you. Thank you for your time.
I don't know what this iPad is or it's operating system, all I know is it was brand new n very very expensive!

What you are seeing is part of Apple's fairly new security system that was implemented a few months ago. It is perfectly legitimate. The first time that you download something for iTunes or the App Store on a new device, you will be prompted to set up three security questions and an optional rescue email address.
Go ahead and comply with the request from Apple. It is for your own security. Just remember the answers to the questions. You can make up answers if you want to do so, you just have to provide answers that you will remember. I wrote my answers down and stored them away for safe keeping.
