Help accessing NAS - not working like before iCloud...

Hi:
So before upgrading my mobileme account to iCloud I was able to acces a hard drive attached to my airport extreme remotely. I believe this was done by enabling back to my mac in mobileme. When opening the finder, the NAS would appear in the sidebar. This worked when I was away from home and connected to the internet on a network other than my home network.
Since upgrading to iCloud when on a network other than my home network, the NAS doesn't appear in the sidebar as it normally did. Trying to mount the drive remotely by clicking on recent items isn't working either.
I enabled back to my mac in iCloud, but that doesn't seem to have worked. Any idea?

Not working like before

I just upgraded to Windows 7 and things aren't working the same.
1. I no longer get the creative modules like before it's just a generic box the old one kind of looked like a jam box.
2. I doesn't have the creative icon in the tray it's just the generic windows speaker icon.
3. I don't have an EQ anymore it just gives options on where are we playing... ?Like Jazz Hall.
What happened?
I Went to the site and downloaded what I thought would be the latest software and it gave me ALchemy...

Bluetooth is not working like before Ios 4.0 on 3GS

Since i have the update from soft 3.x to 4.0 i have problems in my car to connect to the Car Bluetooth Car-Kit.
I have a original BMW bluetooth Car-Kit wich was working perfect.
Since the update to version 4.0 most of the times it would not connect automaticly with the Car. so the connection is not always there.
After a little bit of pressing settings (bluetooth) on the phone the connection is made.
I am affraid to update again to the newer one 4.01 because maybeit will not working anymore.
Before the update to 4.0 there was no problem at all , everytime when in the car the connection was made automaticly without any problems. Now it is 2/10 auto connected.
Already removed the connection and paired it . but the result is the same. No stable automatic connection. Once connected there is no problem until next Car-Ride.
Anyone with a solution ?

Thanks for your response ... yeah that's exactly what I wound up doing and it worked. Man what a nasty upgrade this has been.
Didn't expect to have to do a full restore of the iPOD. Of course that takes all the personal settings you made and nuked them back to the factory settings plus the latest system upgrade ... but hey ... it solved the problem. Wonder what's next?

Javascript bookmarklets not working like before

I use 1 line javascript bookmarklets.
They have the code %5Cn which used to send a carriage return, line feed so that I could have some text on 1 line, and the rest on a new line. But that does not work anymore. Everything is on the same line since updating to Safari 3.0.4.
I also tried using %5Cn%5Cr which should put a new line, carriage return. It did not make any difference.
What else could I try?

I've been experimenting with this and still can't get it to work.
Any one have any ideas?

Toshiba 3D TV conked off after automatic Software Update!! Need help to get it working like before

I' Using the Toshiba 46TL963G TV since 5 monts, recetly i asked for the **bleep** new software update and I let it install (ofcourse its connected via ethernet cable). After instalment the TV restarted automatically and everything was fine. I could watch TV well and I turned it OFF. and later Next morning When I turned On, it doesn't function anymore!!
How Crap is this TV.. It does the automatic software update and it conks off itself!!!
and the most annoying thing is that I went to this website "http://support.toshiba.com/" to get the support for this TV and when I entered the 8 charachter moderl of my TV , it say, wrong entry. WTF!!!! You dont clain your own product as yours??
Please help me how can I get my TV working fine as before, else I really have to start working on creating a blog "Reason Why one SHOULD not buy TV from TOSHIBA"

Peter, You _know_ that the firmware update crashes the TV. There have been enough reports of this online, and so much of it here on this forum that you cannot have missed it. Users need to resort to auto-flashing the firmware with files that are not publicly available from your site. Could you not at least remove the offending firmware from the list of things the television can automatically download? Aravind, you might try contacting the toshiba support to get them to send you the correct file to put on an USB device to force the TV to launch the update once plugged. Roaming the forums, it seems like this file should be something like "46TL963G_******_INIT_CLEAR.bin". Kellindil

So, I was sends a lot. I worked in studios for 3 years so thats just how I was raised. I noticed in Logic 9 that when you adjust the volume on a track, that feeds the AUX. Seems kinda odd, as logic 7 and 8 never did this. Its kinda frustrating when your trying to layer reverbs and delays. I only, and only ever have used post pan to get stereo AUXs. Am i missing something? Or am I completely insane? It seems like the only way to feed AUXs was with the send knob, and they never moved no matter what I did to the channel strip volume.

You can also route tracks output directly to a bus/aux. But you are looking for pre fader sends. Just clickhold the send slot until the pre and post choices pop up.

HELP CREATEBLOCKONEQ DOES NOT WORK!

I have been pulling my hair out trying to get the SET CREATEBLOCKONEQ command to work in my calc scripts. I have been to the Essbase Calculate Databases training class and it does not work like it did in the class. I even sent a code snippet to my instructor and it worked for him but not for me. See my example below:
Outline:
611055 - Dense
BegBal - Sparse
61100011 - Sparse
Q3Forecast - Sparse
FY2010 - Sparse
This should create a block without the SET CREATEBLOCKONEQ according to my class book and the tech reference guide but it does NOT!!!!

Is there a database setting that needs to set to a certain value for this stuff to work?! This is driving me crazy and is causing me to create extravegant work arounds just to do what should be simple calculations according the all the documentation I have seen.

Don't panic! Advice from Douglas Adams and me (I am somewhat less well known, but still good advice). :)
Quick question, that will invalidate all of the below -- are you absolutely sure that BegBalance is in a sparse dimension? That's (generally) pretty unusual. If BegBalance is in a Time/Period dimension that is dense, it would explain why your code doesn't work. You could flip the code to say:
FIX("61100011", "611055","BegBal","FY2010")
SET CREATEBLOCKONEQ ON;
"Q3Forecast" = "Actual"->"FY2009"->"Dec";
SET CREATEBLOCKONEQ OFF ;
ENDFIX
Scenario is more likely (I don't know your db's layout, but this is common) to be sparse. If the above works, you can jump out of this post.
Failing success, however, read on.
More advice:
1) Copy your database to something you know can't be in production -- I like Bozo.Bozo, but to each his own.
2) Clear out the data from Bozo.Bozo.
3) Go into EAS and edit the properties of the Bozo.Bozo database. It should say that it has zero blocks.
4) Connect to Bozo (I am dropping the app name -- you get the idea) in Excel and navigate to your 61100011, 611055, Q3Forecast, Fy2010, and BegBalance intersection.
5) Type in a 1, and lock and send. Delete the 1 from the spreadsheet, and retrieve again to prove that the number went in.
6) Now go back into EAS and Bozo and Edit->Properties. You will see one block. There can only be one as you cleared out the db in step 2 and proved that there were zero blocks in step 3.
Okay, having established that indeed, you can create a block by assigning a data value, I would now look go see if 61100011->61055->Actual->FY2009->Dec has data in your real database. Can you pull it into a separate sheet (obviously not the Bozo connected sheet)?
If you can do that, connect your first sheet to your original db. Now lock and send the number 1 back to the db. Retrieve to make sure it works. If you were feeling feisty, you might do a before and after block count, but it may be difficult to tell what the real block count is as you may very well have been creating the block and didn't realize it.
Ignoring SET CREATEBLOCKONEQ, try your second code block. You're just proving that you can assign data. Does that work?
The only reason I can see CREATEBLOCKONEQ not working in your example is if in fact BegBalance is not sparse. It won't work on a dense dimension.

My work computer runs Outlook 2003, which I know will not work with the iCloud, so I hard sync. But then the new info on my iPhone does not backup to iCloud. Is there a solution?

I have a Macbook and iPhone and like to back up to iCloud. However, my work computer runs Outlook 2003, which I know will not work with the iCloud. The company has no plans to update anytime soon. Since the calendar and contact list on my office computer are my primay ones, I hard sync through iTunes. The problem is that any data synced from Outlook 2003 to the iPhone from iTunes does NOT later backup to iCloud. Is there a solution?

I have the same problem with Outlook 2003 and Win XP which the multinational organisation I work for standardises on and will probably stay with forever!

I've updated to iso5 on my iphone 4 but some of the features are not working like the lock screen camera feature. Have I done something wrong?

to see the camera icon, double-click the home button when you are on the lock screen. this will show the music controls and the camera icon. double click the home bgutton again to close them.

Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

My Help Viewer is not working for mac help

My Help viewer is not working for mac help. Everytime i choose mac help the window opens then closes. But when i open another help like safari help it opens and works fine. If i switch it back to mac help the window just closes and the application quits.

I have seen this before. You need to update the apps in your app store, and once they are updated, they will work again.

Help viewer does not work after update to 10.4.4

Since updating to 10.4.4 my Help viewer does not work, and all of the troubleshooting fixes suggested in other threads have not had any success in resolving this. I've noted that when I go to Users>Library>Documentation>Help there is no mac.help file - can someone tell me if that means that I've lost the file altogether and need to reinstall it? I get to the first screen of the viewer, but the links from there don't work. Thanks for any help that you can provide!

Thanks for your suggestion. I downloaded OnyX and ran the cleaning function. After restarting, I opened Help and once again the first screen appeared fine. But again most of the links did not work, though those under the "What's New" heading did work. I might add that I had previously tried a variety of suggestions posted in another thread, which included deleting from the caches folder in Home>Library several files such as com.apple.helpui and help.plist in the Preferences folder. (As noted in my previous post this evening, I also created another user but that also did not have any effect.) Any other ideas? Thanks
