HELP! Accidentally Deleted Run!

I've started training for a half marathon & have been using my Nike+ iPod to track runs. I finally got around to calibrating my ipod, & in doing so, I accidentally deleted my last run, which was also my longest run. Help!! How, if possible, do I recover my deleted run? Please help!!

You will need to root your phone and by doing so you will delete the pictures, now, were the photos stored on the internal storage or SD card, if the later then you are out of luck, unless someone has another method
you can at least connect your phone to a PC > go to computer > xperia Z1 Compact > DCIM > thumbnails, you might be able to recover at least some of the pictures

  • HELP:: Accidentally deleted Old Time Machine Backup!

I was trying to free up some space on my external HD, and deleted a prior backup - assuming that the one called "Latest" was the backup I wanted.
When I deleted the backup named "01/11/09" - it actually appears to have deleted the contents of any/all of my backups!
What I'm worried about - is that before I realized this - I emptied the trash, and restarted the computer.
This is critical stuff that is from a previous computer that I just sold when I upgraded. Years worth of files and photos.
    Any help is much appreciated.

First, you should never delete any backups from finder. if you have to do it it should only be done from TM interface. since you've emptied trash your ONLY hope now is using data recovery software like Filesalvage or Data Rescue II. you should turn off TM and use one of those programs asap to maximize recovery chances.
Also, you should never use TM as an archiving utility to store files. It is a backup tool not an archiving tool. old backups are constantly thinned and eventually recycled without warning.
If you need to store some data permanently keep it on a separate drive.

  • Terminal help - accidentally deleted /System/Library/Extensions

So I foolishly deleted my entire Extensions folder. I only trashed it though, not emptied. But I can't boot up. The only way I can get into anything is by using the retail Snow Leopard CD. From here I can get to the terminal.
    So...
Can I restore my files from the trash via the terminal in the install cd?
I've been trying some commands but no luck so far.
    Help is greatly appreciated.

Perfect. It took a little tweaking. First I had to create the "Extensions" directory again, and even then it wouldn't let me move a whole directory, just individual files. The "-R" command worked that out though.
The full code I ended up using was...
    cp -R /Volumes/"Hard Drive"/.Trashes/*/Extensions /Volumes/"Hard Drive"/System/Library/Extensions

  • Help- Accidentally deleted quicktime X

i thought i should "grade" to quicktime 7 pro, to get additional features. after I purchased and removed quick time X for snow leopard, I read that the new quick time is better. Not sure if that is correct. but anyway, like and idiot I removed, and emptied the trash of quick time X. Anyone know how I can get it back?

Mac OS X 10.6 includes QuickTime versions 10.0 and 7.6.3. The QuickTime 7 player will only be present if a QuickTime Pro key was present at the time of installation, or if specified as part of a custom install, or individually downloaded.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/dl923
Snow Leopard update 10.6.4 included an update to 7.6.6 (if installed). You can install it from the above link even though it says for 10.6.3. It's the same version of QuickTime Player 7.6.6.
Only QuickTime Player 7.6.3 or 7.6.6 can be updated to "Pro".

  • Accidentally deleted exchange account and lost contacts....please help

    Hello all,
I have a unique problem and I'm worried that it may not be fixable but hopefully it is.  Here is the long detailed explanation.
I was trying to start setup for an outlook account to sync my business emails to my phone (which I never got around to doing)  I noticed that under mail/contacts etc.  that there was an exchange account.....with it being early in the AM and still in bed I accidentally deleted it.  I noticed immedietly after that my texts were coming in with numbers rather than contact names.  I don't usually use the start mail (blue with white envelope) I had it archived away.....because I have the gmail app which was much more user friendly.  Whoever set up the exchange account must have been at the verizon store when i bought the phone possibly.  I did not do this myself.  Anyways I have a few more problems that makes this issue worse....for some time now my iCloud has been saying it does not have the appropriate amount of storage......(And I assume is not backing up my contacts)  I've never really had to use iCloud before so I think this may not help either.  I looked on gmail and only certain contacts....older ones were on there.  I went to a verizon store and he helped me re-add my exchange account which im assuming was through my gmail email (Only email I really use) and certain contacts seemed to pop up.  After leaving the store I realized that a lot of the newer contacts I've added were still missing......I'm not sure what else I can do to recover these contacts if anything but I am now up for suggestion.  This is basically where I'm at right now.....not totally missing everything but missing a good deal.  Also would like to get my cloud up and running again so this doesn't happen again.  I haven't hooked to iTunes yet but I never really did that regularly so that might not help either.  Like I said I am up for any suggestion......maybe a way to look up my exchange account if by chance it wasn't under my gmail email account......Thanks in advance!

  • Accidentally deleted bonjour from my computer.  iTunes will not open.  Help Please.

Accidentally deleted Bonjour from my computer.  iTunes will not open.  Running Windows XP. Help please.

Uninstalling and then reinstalling your iTunes should also get your Bonjour reinstalled.
For the reinstall, use an installer downloaded from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
... or you could get it back via your Apple Software Update for Windows.
If you'd prefer not to uninstall iTunes, try the following procedure.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the Bonjour.msi (or Bonjour64.msi) to do a standalone Bonjour install.

  • HELP!  I saved a document.  Copied the document.  Went to delete some extra characters.  Accidentally deleted the entire document.  Now I can't find my document.  When I open the saved document, the page is blank.  Does Pages save copied text anywhere?

I saved a document.  Copied the document.  Went to delete some extra characters and accidentally deleted the text of the entire document.  I did not save a blank page.  I cannot recover the lost text.  Please Help.  I'm NEW to Pages.

    Hi Jan,
Copied text (or other copied material) is on the Clipboard, but only until you copy something else or log out of your account. If you act before doing another copy, you can paste the copied material back into the document. If you don't act right away, you may still have a path back.
One of the most useful keystroke combinations on the Mac is the "Oops! key," as a friend of mine once named it. That's command-Z, also known as "Undo". In some applications it will let you undo only a single step, but in others, including Pages, you can do repeated undos, so it's not quite so essential that you act immediately on making an error. Undo, done via the Oops! key, or via the Edit menu takes you back one change at a time. You can't skip any steps, so to get back to the state before the accidental deletion, you'll have to undo any work you've done since then. The memory of what to Undo disappears when you close the document or quit the application.
At that point you're at the mercy of your backup plan. If you've had Time Machine running, you'll be able to enter Time Machine and go back to an earlier, saved version of the file.
All these are in addition to the steps Ian suggested above.
    Regards,
    Barry
PS: Best piece of advice I can give a new Pages user (beyond Backup early and often) is to download and read through the first few chapters of the Pages '09 User Guide, available through the Help menu in Pages '09. Mostly pretty easy reading, and will get you through the basics without much trouble.

    Plz help
Help I have accidentally deleted the var folder on my mac and now it won't start up what should I do?

    Reinstall OS X.
Reinstall Snow Leopard without erasing the drive
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • Accidentally deleted APM Run As Account

    Hey
While deleting some test Run As accounts, I accidentally deleted the APM Run As Account that gets automatically created. Is there a way to restore this account? I was going to try and re-create it, but I never entered any credentials for it.
In my test environment, I installed APM and noticed that the account gets created once you start monitoring an application. The credentials for the account are a Binary Account File type with encrypted binary data.
Any suggestions with how I should proceed?
    Thanks!

Fixed the issue. Here's what I had to do:
    1. Delete the Run As PROFILE (entitled 'APM CSM Encryption Profile') that was looking for the deleted Run As "APM Account" (pictured above). Once I deleted it that action propagated to all the clients to stop looking for that account to authenticate
as. I believe this is due to the nature of the account (See: Distribution tab: Less Secure - distributes to ALL managed computers).
    2. Once that profile was deleted, all the alerts entitled: "System Center Management Health Service Credentials Not Found Alert Message" were closed.
    3. To get the account & profile back, all I had to do was the following: I noticed in my test lab that the APM account and APM CSM Encryption profile get created NOT when you import the APM management back, but once you SETUP your first .NET Application
to monitor. After the setup of an application to monitor, those accounts get created and linked together. Since I already had a production APM monitor set up, all I had to do was open the properties of the .NET application from the Management Pack Templates
view, and click Apply again. It sat there for a few moments processing the completion (one of the tasks obviously is creating those accounts if they do not exist), and then the wizard closed. Once closed, I verified the account and profile were created and
watched the OpsMgr Event log populate as it propagated this account to all managed computers.
Hope this helps someone if they encounter this in the future!

  • Accidentally deleted firefox "profiles.ini" and now says firefox is already running when I try to open it.

Accidentally deleted firefox "profiles.ini" and now says firefox is already running when I try to open it. "a copy of firefox is already open. only one copy of firefox can be open at one time. Now I'm aware this happens often and people have posted solutions to this, but this situation is slightly different. The "profiles" that possibly had parental lock on it were deleted and I don't know how to get it back. Re-downloading firefox obviously does nothing. Opening the task manager and to try and close all mozilla/firefox files and apps doesn't work either. Tried using Onyx to turn invisible files visible but that didn't work either. I think it's cause I deleted the profiles. Suggestions?

Any chance of restoring that profiles.ini file via the Time Machine?
If not then you need to use the Profile Manager to re-register that no longer recognized profile.<br />
You do that by creating a new profile and use Choose Location to point the your lost profile.
