Help acquiring a pulse via Ctr1 (in) from Ctr0 (out)

Hi,
I am needing assistance acquiring a slow pulse signal.  I am generating a pulse using Ctr0 Out.  I want to graph this pulse output along with a temperature measurement to see how the two measurements interact.  My problem is that I never see the pulse at my pulse input channel.
I can measure the temperature fine.  this works good.  I can generate a pulse without a problem as I ave an O-scope to monitor the Ctr0 output.  this works fine.  However, I have wired the output of Ctr0 to a physical channel on the SCC-68 (PFI-4 or Ct1 Gate channel) and created a DAQ Assistant to acquire this pulse.  The VI runs and errors out with a message that the signal to the DAQ Assistant is never seen and thus times out.  I can physciall y see the signal via my O-scope going to the channel.  I must have the DAQ Assistant 2 configured incorrectly?????
Any input is greatly appreciated.

I noticed that your number of samples has been set to 1000 (continuous mode), hence a possible reason for the timout errors. I would suggest changing that to 1 sample (on demand) and see if that gives you any progress.

I tried connecting my Ipod Touch 5th generation to the internet via ad-hoc from my windows 7 laptop. My iPod was connected to the internet but just in a moment. Then it disconnects. I tried so many other option such as creating another ad-hoc from other  laptop but still the same result. Is there something wrong with my iPod? this is so frustrating. I've been using ipod touch 4th gen before I got the 5th and connecting to the internet via ad-hoc was never a problem for me.  Would someone help me?

  • Programmatic Control of Pulses from Ctr0

    Using LV8.0 with Win_XP.
To control a loading solenoid at  a user programmed time interval
( On / Off ) I am using Ctr0 to generate the pulses and counting the
number of pulses  by Ctr1 using a hardware link from Ctr0 output
    to Ctr1 input.
My requirement is to be able to start and stop the Pulse generation
based on certain  conditions in a State Machine. And when I stop
and restart the pulse generation, the Numeric count of pulses must not
be reset. Typically each schedule on the machine will run for about 2
million cycles and hence retaining the elapsed count is very important.
More than my description the enclosed VI will explain the requirement more clearly.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hi Raghunathan,
I liked your application and couldn't help but try and code this up myself.  I have attached the modified version with the logic used to stop/restart the counter output.  Let me know if this is what you were trying to do.

  • Pdf extension changes to .dat when send a file via e-mail from adobe acrobat 9

to convert a file from microsoft word 2007 to PDF and send as an attachment via e-mail from adobe 9, the file is received with the extension changed to. dat, so recipients can not open it.
Can anyone help me with this.

What is the OS of the sending computer?
    What mail client?
I receive plenty of files on my PC as .dat files, which come from Mac user(s), rename the extension to what I think they ought to be and have no further problem. (I cannot change the senders email settings where the problem originates)
If the receiver knows it is a pdf file, they can drag it into Acrobat, but renaming the extension serves future use.

  • [SOLVED] - Package xf86-video-via is missing from repositories!

    Hi,
I have a VIA card as follows:
VGA Compatible Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. S3 Unichrome Pro VGA Adapter (rev 01)
My X doesn't work except in VESA mode. But in Vesa mode, when I play videos in mplayer, I can't fullscreen them.
When I checked the sample xorg.conf files mentioned in the Xorg wiki, I find that I am advised to use the xf86-video-via package.
But the package xf86-video-via is missing from repositories!
pacman -Ss xf86-video-via doesn't give results!
    Please help.
    Thanks.

  • DAQ board for acquiring analog pulses

Hi.  I'm using the USB-6251 DAQ board, and I'm trying to record analog Gaussian curve-ish pulses into LabVIEW.  Except when there is a pulse, the analog input channel is at 0V.  Right now, I've got the trigger working to start acquisition at the beginning of the pulse, but I can't figure out how to stop acquisition when the pulse is over.  I've been using the DAQ Assistant, with an Analog Window start trigger, set at the range 10m to 10 V.  Is that the right way to do it?  I can't get any reference trigger to work to stop the acquisition however.  It's set to acquire 5k inputs at 1 kHz and always goes for the full 5 seconds instead of stopping.
    Thanks in advance for helping!

Not exactly.  It's still picking up pulses separately, but it's including the empty space afterwards (as in, if the pulse lasts only 10 ms, it still acquires data for the full 1 second).  Preferably, it would stop acquiring data when the voltage is outside the analog window.
I attached the VI as it is right now, with just a start trigger and no reference trigger.  I'm unsure how to configure the reference trigger to have it stop the acquision once the voltage is outside the window again.
    Thanks for your help!
    Jeremy

  • DC motor control via ctr1/ctr0 pwm output stops outputting after one loop through.

Working on this project to control an H-bridge controlled
motor using pwm output from ctr0/ctr1 for ccw and cw on the motor. A sensor detects where it is at and each cycle goes from black to white. For some reason, the motor only turns on once and then nothing comes out of the ctr outputs after that. Anytime the program is stopped and restarted it works for one cycle. Or if just the program is run at the skipcolor sub-vi. this can be run multiple time to control it properly. During the actual run it doesn't work. Any implementation device would be great. I am using the PCI-MIO-16E controller.

    Hey suspencefull,
You are probably going to have to think about re-designing your code. Your pulse train is not continually generating because you do not have it in a loop. When you use the DAQ Assistant to create a continuous pulse train, LabVIEW will prompt you if you want it to automatically add the loop. You must have deleted it or chosen not to add the loop.
There will, however, be problems though when you add the loop back in. The SkipColor sub VI will not finishing executing until the loop is finished and therefore you will never move out of the first frame of your sequence. I would suggest redesigning your code so that these thing can occur in parallel.
Please let me know if you have further questions.

  • Acquiring a measure every x seconds from a Keithley 2000 multimeter

    Hi everybody,
I'm working on a program on labview which should acquire a measure every x seconds from a Keithley2000 multimeter.
I managed to acquire a single reading using the "Single Read VI" from Keithley 2000 Instrument Drivers.
To acquire a reading every x seconds, i have tried 2 possibilities without havinng the desired result:
    - First i have tried the "Multi Read VI" (also from Keithley Instrument Drivers), but the problem with this VI is that i could controle the desired number of readings without being able to controle their frequecy ( i can't choose the elapsed time between 2 successive readings)
    - The second possibiltie I've tried is to use the "Single Read VI" inside a "Timed loop" for which i could choose the desired number and frequency of iterations, but the problem with this methode is that
at the end of the program i still get only a single reading!
Can sombody please help me with that?
    THANK YOU in advance.

please help!!!!!! i filled out a job application using adobe reader but i cannot send the file back via email because the file is protected with a lock. how do i unlock this file to send it?!!!!!!!!!

    Hi kevinv1987,
It doesn't sound like the PDF was password protected (or Adobe Reader would prompt you for a password). Instead, it sounds like that file may be marked locked by your operating system. Are you on Mac OS or Windows? In either case, here are instructions for removing the lock icon from the file:
Remove the Lock Icon from a Folder in Windows 7 (check Microsoft's website if you have a different version of Windows)
On Mac OS, select the file in the Finder, and choose File > Get Info. Then, just deselect the Lock checkbox.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

Some of the information below has subsequently appeared in a document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only media purchased from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):
    - Senuti - http://www.fadingred.com/senuti/

Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141 - dates from 2008 and some outdated information now.
Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide - http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/copying-music-from-ipod-to-co mputer/ - Information about use in disk mode pertains only to older model iPods.

  • Passing Parameters via Post Method from Webdynpro Java to a web application

    Hello Experts,
I want to pass few parameters from a web dynpro application to an external web application.
In order to achieve this, I am referring to the below thread:
    HTTP Post
As mentioned in the thread, I am trying to create an additional Suspend Plug parameter (besides 'Url' of type String) with name 'postParams' and of type Map.
But when I build my DC, I am getting the same error which most of the people in the thread have mentioned:
Controller XXXCompInterfaceView [Suspend]: Outbound plug (of type 'Suspend') 'Suspend' may have at most two parameters: 'Url' of type 'string' and 'postParams' of type 'Map'.
I am using SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Version: 7.01.00
Kindly suggest if this is the NWDS version issue or is it something else that I am missing out.
Also, if it is the NWDS version issue please let me know the NWDS version that I can use to avoid this error.
Any other suggestion/alternative approach to pass the parameters via POST method from webdynpro java to an external web application apart from the one which is mentioned in the above thread is most welcome.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anurag

    Hi,
This is purely a java approach, even you can try this for your requirement.
There are two types of http calls synchronous call or Asynchronous call. So you have to choose the way to pass parameters in post method based on the http call.
if it is synchronous means, collect all the values from users/parameters using UI element eg: form and pass all the values via form to the next page is nothing but your web application url.
If it is Asynchronous  means, write a http client in java and integrate the same with your custom code and you can find an option for sending parameters in post method.
here you go and find the way to implement Asynchronous  scenario,
