Help! Activating iPhone 6 Plus Cellular Network

That worked. I just attempted to make my first call and I can't hear the person I'm speaking to and they can't hear me

I picked up my 6 plus yesterday and went through the activation steps. It then told me activation had failed, but another page, and the activation customer service automated phone line, told me activation is in progress. It's been about 13 hours now, and I still have no service. As of two hours ago, the service on my iPhone 4S has been deactivated. I have no service on either phone so I can't call AT&T for help, and our store doesn't open for a few more hours. Any help please?

I had the same issue, whilst my IPhone 5 iOS 7.0.2 was in my pocket all morning, I checked the usage on traffic monitor and it said data usage 1.1 GB. My setting are:

I am using an inmarsat satelite connection if anybody knows any other settings that could cause vast amounts of data to download please advise. After thought would'nt it be nice if apple had an all in one feature(switch) that only allowed Push notifications and safari usage through. Thanks in advance.

Please help! iPhone 6 Plus will not sync to PC, sync button greyed out.

After upgrading to 8.3 I am unable to sync my iPhone 6 Plus with iTunes on my PC. When the phone is connected by cable the PC recognizes the phone and it is visible in iTunes, but the sync button is greyed out and the storage bar only shows about 20gb used, all yellow and marked as "other" data even though my iPhone actually has about 90gb of apps/music/photos on it. I am using the stock Apple sync cable, latest iOS update and iTunes. So far I have tried:
-Power cycling both phone and PC.
-Completely uninstalling iTunes and all associated programs in the order recommended by Apple, then re-installing.
-Unchecking everything to be synced (music, photos, etc) then clicking apply. iTunes does send some kind of brief sync with the phone after I click apply but I'm still left with the greyed out button and yellow storage bar. Nothing is deleted from the phone. Re-checked everything same result.
-Wiped and restored iPhone from iCloud backup, still no sync button and yellow storage bar.
I noticed when I check for music "on device" it only shows about 30 songs from a couple of different albums, all with the dotted circle indicating they were not transferred. I actually have a lot more on the iPhone. I've tried everything I can think of to clear these out and nothing works.
Any ideas?

Try to set it back to factory settings and restore from the latest backup, explained in this article:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
If all content on your phone is marked as "other", the data on the phone can't be read by iTunes anymore and the only thing that could help is restoring the device.

IPhone 6 Plus cellular data warning

I have a new iPhone 6 Plus. My plan with Verizon is for 250mb/ month as I use little data. I work in an area that has very bad cell phone service as well. If I leave cellular data turned on the battery of the phone drains at the rate of about 20% an hour. For those 2 reasons the vast majority of the time I keep cellular data turned off unless I need it at the time. If I am not on WiFi at the time anytime I try to open any app, even the settings app, or switch apps I get a warning that cellular data is turned off. I am very aware that cellular data is turned off as I have it turned off on purpose. I don’t need to be reminded every time I open every app or switch between apps that it is turned off. I often bounce between apps frequently and the alert messages are not wanted, not needed, and extremely annoying. How do I stop these pop up alerts once and for all without having to turn cellular data on which is not an option as it kills the battery at work and the operating system uses too much data that drains my small allotment of monthly data? This was bad enough on the iPhone 5 running iOS 7 but has escalated greatly on iOS 8.

I did not see how to edit my post. I'm on Verizon. I have tried on Wifi and on cell tower. I can get on safari with no problem. I'm using ISO 8.1

I Have the exact same error message, i recently got an email from at&t that my unlock request was successful and i need to do a backup & restore from itunes after the restore process i get error : "Your request couldn’t be processed.We’re sorry, but there was an error processing your request. Please try again later". I tried for 2 weeks now without any luck, i even tried with at&t sim card. When i contacted at&t they said everything is fine with their system i dont have to be in the US and i can use any working sim card from any carrier to unlock the device.

Problem activating iPhone 4 on new network.

Hello, I have received an iPhone 4 from a friend who has recently upgraded, he is on vodafone and I am on Giffgaff both in the UK.
He has been in touch and been granted a factory unlock from his network for me, although when he originally retired the handset he did a full "as new" restore through iTunes. I cannot activate the phone with my sim as it's not the original carrier but therefore also cannot get beyond the activation of the handset in order to "apply" the factory unlock through iTunes.
Is there anyway around this problem or will I have to borrow/acquire a Vodafone sim to firstly activate and then update through iTunes? Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick altogether? Help much appreciated!

There is no way around. SIM is required for activation and not for a Restore. (Once unlock is approved, then only after restore, with any SIM inserted in, it can be activated. So long it is locked, you always need Vodafone SIM.)

All iPhones sold in Japan are carrier locked. The Japanese carriers do not offer unlocking.
Buy a new phone you can use. You can not use that on on a carrier in your country.

i bought iphone 3gs used...so i took it home and tryed to activate it using my home wifi but i got a mssg saying IPHONE COULN'T ACTIVATE ACTIVATION SERVER TEMPORALLY UNAVAILABLE TRY LATER OR TRY CONNECTING TO ITUNES...i did conect to itunes i did the whole process and i yhink it was working well but then i got another mssg saying WE SORRY WE CAN NOT CONTINUE WITH YOUR IPHONE ACTIVATION.

I bought an iphone 4 on craigslist (dumb idea) and ive went everywhere to activate it and they're telling me its from a different country or something and has to be activated with the original sim. I dont want to go to AT&T because they will not help because im on T-Mobile (even though I used to be with them for a little while) can someone please help me?

If your iPhone is locket to AT&T, return it or sell it. AT&T does not
unlock iPhones for any reason.

Use of TomTom app on iPhone 4s without cellular network

I want to use the TomTom App when the iPhone is in airplane mode (or is there any other way to interfere with the network - without removing the sim).
This because I have a special carphone with dualsim and for correct use the iPhone must be switched off from the network. Then TomTom app states: "bad GPS connection". Is there a way to avoid that? Bluetooth can be switched on in airplane mode, so a mobile GPS receiver could be connected. But will the iPhone put the signal through is the question?

Disabling the carphone is of course an option, but
I've an BMW with an integrated phone en audio system with an adapter for the iPhone as a music carrier. So the music on the iPhone can played on the carsystem and also the TomTom instruction can be heard over the speakers. So, disabling the carphone forces me to get a bluetooth kind of system for the iPhone. That is last resort but possible indeed.
Anyone?

Help activating Iphone

Please help an exhausted iphone newbie! Just got my phone for xmas and tried today to activate it. Itunes does not recognize the phone and my computer shows no sign of even knowing it exists. I tried everything in the troubleshooting section of the manual except unplugging all other USB devices because getting to the back of my computer is not an option at this moment! The only possible problem I can see is that, although I have the apple mobile device support installed, I do not see any evidence of the driver for iphone listed in the universal serial bus controllers in the device manager. The phone shows a picture of the USB cable and an arrow pointing toward an itunes icon. any ideas would be appreciated!

hi there! badly need HELP. please. i updated may iphone 3gs to the new version 6.1.2, but the problem is it turns into original settings and unlock. means, deactivated. i already connect it to itunes or wifi bcoz it says on my iphone screen connect to itunes or wifi to activate iphone. but the server is temporarily unavailable. what should i do? any other way?

Need help activating Iphone 3G!!

As of today I have updated my contract with O2 and got an Iphone 3G. As it's an update I don't have a new sim and I'm keeping my old one. I got told to backup my old iphone then remove the sim and put it in my Iphone 3G so I have all my numbers and stuff one the new one. But when i synced my new Iphone 3G it asked me weather I want to 'set up as new iphone' or 'restore from the back of..' I clicked restore the back up, and it's taking ages. Was this the right choice to make and will it activate my new phone? what will happen to my old phone in terms of working with a contract? And also I have a message on my Iphone 3G whilst its syncing that 'No signal detected, signal required to complete activation'... what do I do? is this a sim problem?

So you didn't wait for the restore to finish and disconnected it? Was this during the process of an upgrade from an iphone 2G? Or are you talking about the no signal issue message on the Iphone 3G?

Need help activating iphone 5c

I was trying to activate my new iPhone 5c because my old iPhone 4s broke. I accidentally told Verizon to send me a new sim card and now it wont let me activate my new phone until the new sim card comes in. I don't want to wait for the new sim card to come in because this phone already has a sim card and I am phoneless until I activate the new phone because my old phone broke. What can I do?

If it won't let you activate online, then take it to a Verizon store to get it activated.
