Help! Adobe CS4 no longer working with Canon or Brother printers, & both drivers are current.

Since upgrading to CS4 in 2009, I can no longer print PDFs (from Acrobat or Preview) to my two printers: Canon MP600 or Brother HL-5250DN. I also cannot print from InDesign. I can print, however, from Photoshop & Illustrator. Drivers for both Canon & Brother have been updated & installed. My specs are shown below. I am bidding on Leopard 10.5, since Snow Leopard sounds awful, but I fear that may compound my problems rather than solve them. Any thoughts? Thanks! ~Hurtin' in Austin

thought that it was possible to have the same iTunes library on any machine that was authorised, a kind of cloud-iTunes I guess.

Contribute CS4 no longer works with updated OS X 10.9.5, but as it won't launch I cannot deactivate - any advice?

AS CS4 does not work wit the newer Mac version of OS X I want to deactivate from the computer. However, I cannot do so as I can't launch CS4 to deactivate and so I am going around in a loop. There must be a way to resolve and Adobe just is not responding to my online request. It looks like I will have top seek alternative software and any help re the deactivation will be appreciated. I guess I'm not sure why you are trying to deactivate. Do you have a machine with an older version of OS installed that you can run that version on? If so, you have two activations that you can use so you should still be able to install Contribute on that machine.
If you have used up your activations and try to install on another machine, you will get a warning and a notice with contact information that can reset your activations for you.
Maybe I'm missing something here? If so, please give more details. Thanks.

HELP! FF no longer works with Mixpod player

It works fine in IE, but some called to say it no longer works in FF, and I tried it and it's true. I really don't want to go through the entire website to change players. Please help.

It works for me on my end (very pretty music, by the way). It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check, and you should leave Shockwave Flash enabled), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). Of course that will also disable Flash, so it's not good in your case. Please do it manually. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins this one] for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.

And again, I can hear the music perfectly on my end, so you don't need to be afraid that your visitors won't be able to hear it. Of course, relying on a proprietary plugin like Flash to play music is never really a good thing, but I understand it may be a necessary evil, in your case. Again, this seems to be a problem on your end specifically, so let's work together to fix it.

Image Capture no longer working with Canon MG3250

I’m getting an error message when trying to scan from my Canon MG3250 using Image Capture this is over wifi but plugging in the USB cable doesn’t make any difference. Printing is working as normal.
I’ve used Image Capture to scan previously without any problem and have the drivers installed from Apple.
Open Image Capture, selected the scanner, which now has a generic icon. I get the following error message:
"Software for this device is not installed.
Scanning software for this printer is currently unavailable
Please contact the printer’s manufacturer for the latest software."
I tried Preferences>Printers & Scanners. Selected the Scan Tab and Open Scanner. This launched the printer utility Canon MG3200 series. I clicked on the Scanner icon. Where I get the same error as above.
Normally the software would auto download from Apple, but clearly looking at the Console log there seems to be a problem at Apple’s end:

20/05/2014 19:28:36.141 PrintUITool[411]: There are 2 drivers posted for Canon MG3200 series. Software Update server configuration must be wrong.
I've worked around the problem by going to Canon’s website and downloaded the scanning software:

I used IJ Network Scanner Selector EX to select the scanner and Canon IJ Scan Utility to scan, which worked after I made sure Image Capture was closed.
This doesn't fix the issue with scanning in Image Capture however.

Issue resolved by Paul Huntley on another discussion board.
"To scan with Image Capture you need to install the ICA v3.1.0 driver for selected Canon devices. This is a different driver package to the MG3200 Scanner driver that includes the Canon IJ Scan utility and does not work with Image Capture."
Installing the ICA driver resolved the issue and I can now scan again with Image Capture. I still don't know why it stopped working in Mavericks, or why Apple didn't auto install the driver when required.

Need Help - Mac Mini no longer works with LG Television

Sometime ago (maybe about two months), my Mac Mini quit working with my LG Plasma HD TV. Currently, when I try to use the Mac Mini with the television, the screen displays a "no signal" message.
The Mac Mini is a one year old Intel Core Duo and is connected using a DVI to HDMI cable.
I've troubleshooted:
1. Connected the Mac Mini to our 42" Sharp Aquous LCD - it displays fine.
2. Taken the Mac Mini to the Genius bar. It displayed on the genius' Apple display w/no probs.
Since then, I've tried:
1. Reinstalled/rolled back to Leopard DVDs (no updates applied) - No luck
2. "Driving" the Mac Mini via Screen Sharing using my MacBook and monkeying with the Display preference pane. While screen sharing, I tried using SwitchResX, too (not too certain of the settings though) - No luck.
Of note:
1. Before the trouble began, I was pleasantly surprised to see "LG" (automatically) listed as the display in the Display preference panel. Support was literally plug and play. Currently, when I drive via Screen Sharing, "LG" is no longer listed. Alternatively, when I connect to the Sharp Aquous, the Display preference panel DOES list "Sharp" as the display.
Any ideas?

I'd be interested in any resolution here. Here's my story:
I have a Mac Mini model MA723LL/A and a Haier P42LV6-T1 42" HDTV plasma with VGA and HDMI inputs. I first attempted to hook the Mac to the plasma TV using the DVI->VGA adapter that came with the Mac. I got no image at all on the TV, and the TV claimed 'No Signal'.
Then I used a DVI->HDMI adapter, and hooked the Mac to the TV thru the HDMI port. I got a picture and was happy. I setup iTunes, got the wireless working, surfed the web a bit and all was OK except the resolution seemed wonky. So I opened the Mac's settings panel to adjust the resolution, and as soon as I opened the settings panel, the screen went blank, with the TV claiming 'No Signal'. I shut off the Mac and rebooted, and from that point forward, what happens is this:
press On Button->
Apple Boot Screen->
MacOS 10 loading->
desktop For About 1 millisecond->
screen goes blank with TV claiming 'No Signal'
I hooked the Mac to my Dell 20" LCD monitor thru the monitor's DVI input and got a great picture. I tested all the resolution settings, and everything was fine. I have tested the Mac on the TV with all available resolution settings and it's always the same story (see above for sequence)
I'm kinda at the end of my rope. The Mac seems to be changing something on its video output at the end of its bootup, but I have no clue what. Has anyone seen anything like this? Any advice at all?

Adobe Update Ran, Now PP CS4 No Longer Works with MPEG Files & More....

I think I know what this is but I thought I would make sure.
(Running CS4 Master Suite in Windows 7 Home Premium with 16GB Ram, i970 processor and six short stroked drives for cache, files, etc.)
Last night Adobe Updater popped up and wanted to do some installs. I had already been editing a project usine PrPro and AE for several hours so called it a night and initiated updater. This morning PrPro no longer recognizes my MPEG source files! Niether does AE or ME. In PrPro it hangs on "conforming." Did I get hit with the Revert to Trial bug? Could it be something else?
What I have done: cleared all cache files, rebooted, checked cache settings, rebooted, wiped deleted cache files, rebooted, cursed.

Help! Java no longer works with IE or Firefox

This all started when I downloaded JRE ...whatever the latest version is. Java was working fine in both browsers. Then I installed JRE so I could run some Java program (which works fine), but now, it doesn't work in the Internet browsers. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still it doesn't work.
Help is appreciated! A lot of basic websites are useless without it. Thanks

Open the Windows Control Panel, there should be a Java entry. Open it and click the Java tab | Applet Runtime Settings | View, and verify that it shows the 1.5.0_01 JRE.
Then click the Advanced tab | "<APPLET> tag support"; Internet Explorer should be checked. If it's not, check it.
Open the IE Tools menu, there should be a Sun Java Console entry. If it's there, click it - it should open the Java Console, showing version 1.5.0_01.
At this point, IE should work. FF problems are a matter of FF settings, I can't help.
If after this IE isn't working, then Java is trashed, removal of Java and reinstall is probably needed. It may be necessary to manually clean the Registry. If there are multiple versions, remove them all. Reinstall 1.5.0_01 last.

They did change it to Outlook recently, but while not pretty, I can access mine with Safari 4.0 still...
You can also set it up in Mail so you don't need a browser at all if you want.

My CanoScan 8600F no longer works with Mavericks upgrade. Canon does not offer new drivers.

The Canoscan Toolbox works with Mavericks to scan, copy, etc.
If you have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements the drivers can be installed so one can scan from within those applications.
All the necessary software (CanoScan Toolbox 5.0.1.2 Installer) can be obtained from the Canon site.
And, as Eustace mentioned, Vuescan works.

Need help getting Adobe OnLocation CS3 to work with windows 7 64 bit. The program installed ok and the S/N took.
The program does record video and audio HDV M2T.
The problem is video doesn't display or play back on the monitor component @ 16:9 or 720 p. 4:3....
The scopes respond as do the audio components when recording. (with a blank monitor component).
The video does play back on my system no problem.
Any ideas?

Thanks for your response. I'm sorry for the lack of details, but posting a question on this forum is completly new to me, so I guess I am learning how it works.
I have to be honest, I am a novice to video editing, but I am here to learn so I will provide all the info I know and please let me know if it is enough...
I filmed my first feature film on a Panasonic GH4. We filmed in 4k (compressed files). I am about 900 GB of total files for all the footage. I am currently editing on a 17' Toshiba Satellite i7 with 750 GB of space and I believe 8 gb of ram. All of the footage for the film is not on the computer, but stored on a 1 TB external hardrive (Rugged Lacie is the name of the hard drive). I am using a usb 3.0 from the hard drive to the computer.
I actually was able to get through about 17 mins of edits for the film before I started to experiencing the computer completely freezing up on me. I tried using a different hard drive, and same issue. A friend mentioned it might just be the computer is not powerful enough to edit all the footage, but he wasn't for sure considering the computer is less than a year old and is on the higher end for a toshiba.
I am requesting advice on how to continue editing the film without the computer crashing if that is even possible with using the same computer. If not what would be my options?

why LR4.4 no longer works with Blurb?
If I configure a book and then click Submit to Blurb does not happen anymore. I even looked at the network traffic and it seems as if the IP is pinged to the contact record no longer respond. I do not understand. This has worked fine all the time. On the computer no setting has been changed. No software is installed that would prevent something. The last book has worked wonderfully. Interesting things, when I export the book as PDF and then upload at Blurb, Blurb complains that the standard by which PDF is not true. X2003 PDF version .... but I am surprised very strong and I really suspect that there adobe wants to put a stop to that one is supposed to buy the new LR version. But everything just a guess. Maybe someone can help me or even has a similar problem.

Try:

If not successful that means that the IOS update broke compatibility, Since the 3G and 4G iPods has difference hardware, there are some differences in the iOSs for the two model iPod.
