Help, Adobe won't, installer issue
Ok I purchaseed cs4 web Premium dowload, I run the installer assuming wou;d install all the probucts when I discovered Soundbooth was missing, I ran the installer again and discover Soundbooth wasn't not as default, now the only problem was the check box for both Sound and the speech files are deactived
So I contact adobe and I get a lecture about Having previous vversion of sound booth, I TOLD THEM i have never had sound booth before.
so just to prove them to them, I removed CS4 and ran the clean script which found no soundbooth.
So I report my finding , and they close my case.
So I wondering if any help to offer me.
if any one know a way to get around the installer , letting install it directedly by the msi file, that would work.
It's unlikely, and now obvious, that a redownload would solve this issue. If it were a corrupted download, I'd expect to see an error during the installation and not this inactive state.
The inactive state of a program in the installer usually occurs when the installer thinks that program or component is already installed. Since that's not the case, and the Cleaner script didn't help, we need to dig a little deeper and see what other information we can find.
Probably the best step we can take is to look at the installation logfiles. On Windows, you'll find them located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\ If you can locate each of the Web Premium installation logfiles here and send them in an e-mail to me at [email protected], I'll try to find what's happening. If I'm not able to decipher them - which is certainly possible as they're REALLY detailed - I'll forward it to a member of our installer team who can help diagnose this issue.

Adobe Reader X installation issue
Adobe Reader X installation caused me a very strange, unusual problem. My OS is Win XP SP3 and I have already installed Adobe Acrobat v.9.4.5.
The installation process went fine, but when my system had to be restarted after the installation at the domain login the system requested me to change my password, because of the expiring. It was very strange, because the PW has been changed 2 weeks before regarding the official 3 months period rule. I did the change now again, but after that I could not reach anyway a https web site (with certificate) and additionally has been destroyed my predefined signature in the Adobe Acrobat.
Well, after a longer wrestling with my system I could restore the missed functionalities (I had to remove the Reader too for this). However later I needed again the Reader for a test purpose and after the new installation exactly the same problem happend as above I described!
Has someone faced with any similar case?

Maybe that would be nice to build into the Reader and/or Acrobat a function to check any existing installed Adobe versions on the PC and warn the user if there would be any incompatibility issue during the installation of a new Adobe product. Many no-name programs can do that............ The great Adobe no would be able to do that???????

Adobe AIR app installation issue due to certificate problem on mac 10.9.5
Im trying to upgrade and then reinstall an Adobe Air application but get the error message failing to install due to a certificate issue.
The developer says the fix is to uninstall the app and install again but this also fails.
Checked my machine clock - saved but that didnt work
The adobe AIR uninstaller simply says I have the latest version? Cant seem to delete and reinstall although other adobe air apps work so I dont think this is the issue
I have gone through the troubleshooting guide: Troubleshoot AIR installation | Mac OS but still have the issue?
Any ideas would be great.I suspect your Mac OS install was an in place upgrade from an earlier version. This is something I would never even consider with a production machine.

Adobe LiveCycle ES3 Installation issue
Hi,
We are facing an issue withnES3 Installation with disabling UAC. Our corporate security policies dont recommend to disable UAC on servers, We have to keep it enabled.
We are unable to proceed further with this issue.
Is there a way to overcome this Disable UAC option? Please suggest.

I have verified the services and they look good. Any idea what this error could be?

Help: Adobe PDF Convertor Installation Error
I'm trying to install Adobe Acrobat 3D 8.1 on my Windows XP system. At then end of the installation process I receive the following error:
"Warning 20225: Adobe Acrobat 3D setup was unable to create a new item: Adobe PDF Convertor. The Adobe PDF Printer may be unavailable. Get Last Error: The specified module could not be found."
Upon completion, the software runs fine except the problem that I'm not able to create PDF files.
What could be the possible cause of this error and how to recitify it?
Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.I know this thread is pretty old, but JIC - Try disabling internet auto-detect:
Open Adobe Reader
Go to Edit menu>Preferences
Click Internet, then Internet Settings
Click LAN Settings
Uncheck the box “Automatically detect settings”

Adobe Flash 11 Installation issues

I have been trying to install and use Adobe Flash for the last couple of days with no sucess. I have trolled through the forum to try and find the answer but have come up empty. Here is the sympton:
I install Adobe Flash 11 and when I try to use a site that requires Adobe Flash, the site asks me to download Adobe. It was working perfectly and I noticed the other day that is just stopped.
Here's my configuration:
Windows 7
IE 9
Steps already taken:
Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Uninstaller:

Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Installer for IE- use the EXE Installer
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
Close all browser windows, you only want to be looking at your Desktop.
Disable any messenger services, as yahoo, msn, etc in the system tray(area near the clock)
Be sure to use the Administrator Account.
Run the Uninstaller and when finished, Reboot(restart) your computer.
Now go to the Flash SysWOW64 location and make sure there are no Flash files other than a text doc. If there are Flash Files there, Run the Uninstaller again & recheck. You want all Flash files removed before running the Installer.If you have to Run the Uninstaller again, then Reboot again.
Run the Installer for IE, and when finished, Reboot.
Then go to this test site and test each browser:
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I have installed Adobe Reader XI on my iMac but cannot find an icon anywhere to launch it. When I try to read a pdf I get a pop-up stating:
Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser.
How do I launch Adobe Reader if I cannot find/see the icon?It may be worth making sure, if you haven't already, that you are looking at a list of names rather than looking at icons. Icons can hide themselves, names can't.

HELP: Windows 7 Ultimate installation issues
Hi,
I have used BootCamp to install Windows 7 Ultimate on my MAC but after partition it goes to a blank black screen and says "No bootable device -- insert a bootable disk and press any key".
I have tried all the tricks I could find on the net like using Startup disk to select the disk but impossible, I can't select the disk. Also taking out the disk and when pressing the option key "alt key" when prompted on Macintosh HD screen putting the disk then.
Any help or ideas please?

Also, is the Windows 7 disc a bought one or a downloaded one that you burned yourself ?
If the latter, try a reburn with lowering the burn-speed to 2x

Microsoft has just released a new utility that can help resolve installation problems. Would you mind giving this a try and let us know how it works for you? When running the Fix it, go through the uninstall process and try to remove Adobe AIR from your system. Once finished, download the latest version of AIR and install again.

If you buy a cloud application while you have a totally legal Creative Suite Premium 6 it might stop working. Adobe made the installation by taking control of my computer. The girl did not seemed totally well trained... my opinion and right after that my InDesign stopped working!!! Now my If I call to get help they send you here because they don't want to spend money fixing that problem. So, I wonder if it's a good idea to buy a new application from the cloud if you already are a good customer. It's probably safer to buy other CS6 or CS5 versions if you already have some. Otherwise you might be stuck to buy the entire package through the cloud even if you don't need the last versions. To solved my problem, I erased the applications with all the preferences on the second time around, reinstalled everything and InDesign still quits on startup. I have the same setup at home but this one does work.
