HELP!! all of my songs on itunes are gone!!
so the other day i opened up my itunes, and all of the songs, all 2300 of them are gone. now this is weird, because i looked on my itunes store bought history, and all the songs are still on there. do you know how to get them back on my itunes?!

and make sure to set it up to where it won't
automatically sync up the ipod with your itunes
library, as it WILL delete your music
if you want to transfer that music back onto your
system, go to google, do a search for "need to
transfer music from my ipod to my computer"
but how do i go into itunes and set it to where it wont automatically sync my ipod eith my library

ok.... my computer crashed the other day ... and all of my songs on itunes are gone along with all the things that i saved on my computer... and i never saved the songs on a disc so i dont have them anymore.. so i was wondering how i could get them back without paying for them again.

I authorized a new computer for iTunes, plugged my phone into computer and now all of my songs in iTunes are no longer in my account, on computer or in iphone Help!
Media is only where you put it.
Did you copy or move the media from the old computer to the new computer? -

Not all of my songs from itunes are appearing in garageband. I want to make a ringtone with a certain song but its not there. How do I get it to be there?
Is it a song you have purchased? Maybe your song is protected by digital right management? Then it will not show up in GarageBand. Have a look in the Information panel if the kind of the song is "Protected".

Just logged on, all of my songs and playlists are gone
Hi, Just logged onto my account through the browser and all of my songs and playlists are gone. Even further, there's a recently played artists who I definitely did not listen to. Assuming that someone hacked my account, I changed my password. But when I looked in "Recover Playlists" there were none of my missing playlists to recover. What is happening to my account? I pay for this application. I had a dozen playlists and thousands of songs that took months to put together. Please help me recover my missing playlists and songs! Thanks,Phoenix

I'd recommend you to contact support here so they can help you fix this issue.
If you receive an automated email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.

All of my songs in iTunes are ghosted and won't play
I tried to create a playlist yesterday. None of the songs went in the playlist. Then I hit the add all button. Now I can't select a song to play I can only play the album I was on. Which I love but... Help
Thanks... however that didn't work.
I did figure out a fix...
1) Deleted the greyed out songs (it didn't ask me to "Move to Trash - so like you said, the files weren't found)
2) Logged into iTunes and clicked the "iTunes Store" link.
3) In right hand column I clicked on "Purchased".
4) Selected "Music" downloads and on right hand side selected, "Not in My Library".
5) It allowed me to download them again!! -
hello...i updated my 3gs and didnt back up my songs and apps...is there any way to retrieve them?
Itunes content is not included in the backup that itunes makes when syncing.
You should always make sure that you have transferred all of your purchased itunes content to your computer before any update.
If you failed to do this, then you can redownload as expalined in the previous post. -
My mini died. bought one used from a friend... all of my songs and books are on my iPhone, and I cant figure out how to get them onto this new computer. this is frustrating. the things i really want are purchases I've made from itunes store... help

Quicktime Player should already be installed on the Mac. If you transferred Quicktime from a VAIO it will not run on a Mac -- no PC software will without using a special interface.
Right click or control+click on one of the files, then > Open with Quicktime Player.
I already suspect that since these files will not play completely on any of your devices that you have an incomplete download.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; only apps, books (not audiobooks), music, and t.v. shows (not movies). Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid. Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
Select the store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can redownload your available previous purchases. -
When I upgraded iphone to ios 5 and all of my pics and videos are gone. I remember doing the upgrade through iTunes. I've looked in iPhoto and iTunes. Does anyone have any sugesstions of how I can get my pictures back?
For some reason, did you fail to use the iPhone as intended? Meaning copying the pictures and videos off the device regularly so that in the event the device is lost/stolen or simply fails, copies would exist on your computer?
You can try restoring from the backup created prior to the update, but it is strongly recommended that pictures/videos be copied off the device on a regular basis. Then any pics/vids that the user desires to keep on the device can be synced back via iTunes. -
I tried to sync the music on my PC with my old iPhone, but all of my songs on iTunes were deleted, How do I get them back? When I go to the iTunes store and look at the songs I hade before, it says I already purchased them, but when I go back to my library, they are all gone. The sync is one way - computer to iphone.
You need to copy everything from your old computer to your new one. -

There is a file in the iTunes library folder that contains your playlist information is the iTunes Library.xml file.
Try and find the file, usually located in one of these locations depending on your OS:
Operating System
Default location of iTunes Folder
Mac OS X
/Users/[your username]/Music
Microsoft Windows XP
\Documents and Settings\[your username]\My Documents\My Music\
Microsoft Windows Vista
\Users\[your username]\Music\
Microsoft Windows 7
\Users\[your username]\My Music\
Then you can import this file to your iTunes Library like this:
1. Choose File > Library > Import Playlist.
2. Navigate to the "iTunes Library.xml" file
3. Windows users: Click Open.
If your Podcasts list in iTunes is empty after following these steps, learn how to add them back into iTunes.

Lost All of My Songs in iTunes but NOT in my iPod
My computer crashed recently and I had to re-install Windows. I wound up losing all of my songs in iTunes but I still have them on my iPod. (I have not connected my iPod to the computer as of yet.) Is there a way to get the songs back from iTunes or to upload from the iPod to iTunes? Thanks, Terry
This topic is covered several times a day. First off, you need to develop a back-up strategy so this doesnt happen to you again. Relying on your iPod or computer is not smart. Next time, Burn your library onto a Data DVD or CD, or invest in an external hard drive. THey have come down in price a lot.
Anyway, you can download a third party program, such as YamiPod or CopyPod, both free, that will allow you to rip your iPod onto your iTunes. There is also another way, but is a bit more involved. Here is the article: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300173

is there anyway i can get all my downloaded songs from itunes onto my ipad?
If you cannot powerup the phone, there would be no way to recover the photos from the device. Have you tried to just connect it to the computer? If the photos are that important, have you considered possibly a 3rd party repair to just fix the screen so you can access the device, or was there more broken than the screen?
