Help and learning center links return "file not found"

The setup was done with the lattest and greatest install file downloaded from your website. Everything went OK with the following exception; when I load "Help and Learning Center" all links with the exception HP Connected return "File not found". example; http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Error?h_lang=en&h_cc=us

I see that you are experiencing issues with the Help & Learning Center software. I will certainly do my best to help you.
It sounds like something is blocking the full software install.
I would disable all the start up programs and temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software and any Real Time Scanning in the Antivirus Software also, to see if that is causing the issue. How to use MSCONFIG . Click on the Startup tab and click Disable all, Then click the Services tab and check Hide All Microsoft Services.
Restart the computer.
Disconnect the USB cable from the printer.
Run the uninstall from the CD.
Go start, computer, right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
Make sure that the print spooler service is running.
Right-click Print Spooler, and then click Properties.
If the Startup type is set to Manual or Disabled, click the drop-down list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.
Under Service status, click Stop and then Start, and then click OK.
Run the installation again and don't connect the cable until prompted.
Test the printer.
Then you will have to go back and enable the Startup programs, Microsoft Services and turn the Antivirus Software back on again.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.

Importing QT movie and getting PCP video-av1 file not found

I am trying to import a QT movie into FCP 7 and I keep getting a message that says, PCP video-av1 file not found.

I suspect you're trying to import a reference quicktime where the media that the file is referencing is missing.

Linked PSD files not found when opening .ai files via shared folder

My main user folder on the iMac is set to be shared (read/write, including all enclosed files) with my MacBook Pro so that I can get someone to help me on a big job. The job is a series of one-page InDesign files (they are newspaper advertisements). The IDD files contain a series of Illustrator files with linked PSD files.
The idea is that we can both work on the .idd and .ai files in the same folder at the same time.
It's all working fine EXCEPT that whenever an .ai file is opened on the MacBook, Illustrator doesn't know where the linked PSD files are. We can update the link, but when the .ai file is then opened on the iMac and saved, the same thing happens the next time it is opened on the Macbook.
I don't want to embed the PSD files into the .ai files as sometimes I have to modify them and they can be linked to up to 20 .ai files. Any ideas?

If you are rebooting the computer holding down T to share via firewire, that is your problem. that mounts the other computer as a hardrive and probably messes up the filepath.

On each computer, choose Apple menu > System Preferences and click Sharing. Note the computer name for each computer.

If you manually configured the TCP/IP settings for the Ethernet service on the computer you are connecting to, you may need to enter that computer’s TCP/IP address in the “Connect to Server” dialog.

How to stop info and start loop over when file not found.

I have a program that I want to run in a loop as long as there are files in a certain dir. When all the files have been read they are moved to another dir. I want this program to have a continuous loop but when the "read characters from file.vi" is send a "Not a Path" I dont want to be prompted for a file because there can be no user interaction. When my program has read and anylized all the data, I want it to keep going in a loop so when more files are put in this dir it will read again.

create a while loop and use the file/directory-info vi (file i/o ->
advanced) to get the list of existing files. If files exist (case structure)
iterate through every one by using a for loop. Now you can read all files
and when finished move them into the new directory. After that you can
analyze the whole data. At last leave the case to wait until the next files
are stored in the directory. Cause you used the file/directory-info vi, you
won't get the dialog!

Error 7: File not found occurs in 8.2 from transition of 4.1. Specifying the file in file dialog returns error although file is in the directory.

Copied a program from 4.1 to 8.2 recently and receive an error 7: File not found at open file+.vi. The program is built so a file dialog will pop up and ask for the destination of the file. Eventhough there is a file in the specified directory, an error is returned. Running open file+.vi by itself returns no error with the same file designation. Any clues?

Welcome to the NI Discussion Forums.
I created a quick VI in LabVIEW 4.1 that displays a file dialog and then passes that file path to "Read Characters from File.vi" (which in turn calls Open File+.vi). I then opened this file in LabVIEW 8.2 and ran it successfully (see code screenshot below).
When you say there is a file in the specified directory are you using the file dialog to browse to the directory or to select the specific file? Open File+.vi expects the path to a file rather than a directory - that is C:\folder\file.txt rather than C:\folder. You might also want to create an indicator or probe to see what path is being passed to Open File+ to ensure it is what you expect.
I feel like I should also say that in the days (years) inbetween LabVIEW 4.1 and 8.2 the file operation VIs have changed significantly. While the old Open File+.vi still lives in vi.lib for compatibility purposes we no longer recommend using it for new applications.

'Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found' message on ONLY 5 sites, but all others OK. Help, please!

I posted this problem here before, but since I really need to access the sites that receive this error message in less than a month, I had to re-post; hopefully someone who didn't see it before will see it & have a solution for me.
Here are the details: I'm running windows 8.1 & I use Firefox 33.1.1, Pale Moon 25.1.0 or Opera 26.0 as my browsers, (I have IE installed & up-to-date, but I never use it). I followed the 10-point checklist on Adobe & everything was done, except for "uncheck Hardware Acceleration" in Flash 'Settings'; I tried to uncheck it on this site, where it's indicated, as well as in my 4 browsers when I'm doing something that uses Flash, but no matter how hard I try, I can't 'uncheck' the check mark in that tiny box! Since this error problem only affects 5 web sites, & I can watch streaming media on all other sites, I don't think it's an issue.
Here's how this problem began: I was watching a live, streaming nest-cam on 5/09/14 around 11:00AM, (yes, I DO know the exact time & date, because it happened so suddenly while I was watching this website that I'd been watching since the end of February, 2014), when my screen went black. I thought it was probably an Adobe Crash, but when the usual Crash Report window didn't show up, I just closed Firefox & reopened it, expecting to resume watching the nest-cam. When I went back to the site, I got the black screen with the "Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found" message. The chat portion on the site still works, though. I know there are other sites with this nest-cam feed, so I started trying them, but it took several tries for me to find one that didn't get the error message! I posted this problem on "Windows BBS" forum, & someone else posted that the same thing happened to them AND on the same sites! They didn't have a solution, either. I cleared my cache, rebooted my PC & even did a System Restore, but whatever happened in that brief second made using ONLY 5 sites impossible. Here are the sites that receive the error message:

I'm an amateur nest-watcher & it's vital that I have access to these 5 sites, so if anyone knows how to fix this, PLEASE tell me!

Error 1311 Source file not found? Plus another error. I need help bad!

Error 1311. Source file not found. S:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temparary Internet Files\content.IE5\45UJKXYZ\ja150000[ 1 ].cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
That appears when trying to install Java 5 update. What can I do to fix that?
This is another error I've got.

I have Windows XP home Firefox v1.0.6.
removed old java in Add/Remove programs.
cleared the "Temporary Internet Files" folder that contained C:\Documents and Settings\Greg\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5.
tried to load jre-1_5_0_04-windows-i586-p-iftw.exe for the third time, and the install still hangs up.
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update Installer Information : Error 1311. Scource file not found: C:\Documents and Settings\Greg\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\2XFKL4VY\je150000[1].cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
and,

here's the thing, I cannot surf to "Content.IE5" folder in my "Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files" folder, but I can plug in the directory in the address bar of Windows Explorer & see the "Content.IE5" folder.
I do not see "je150000[1].cab" or "je150000[1].cab" in there.
Am I using the wrong program to fresh install Java for Firefox in XP?
Is there something wrong with my operating system?

On certain news web sites, the front page displays ok, but click on a story, it displays and then I get the popup file not found.

On the Boston Globe web page, for example, their home page displays just fine. When I click on any news title, the page displays for an instant and then this pops up:
File not found
Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/chrome/en-US.jar!/locale/browser-region/region.propertieswd.sharethis.com.
* Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
* Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.
I click on the "Try Again" button and nothing happens.

Vuze installs ask.com's tool bar also. Check for a Vuze plug in. Thanks for the fix.

File not found question

I'm an experienced web designer, but new to Dreamweaver CS4,
and am having a problem with a fundamental task: when I export a
table from FW to DW, then try to edit the table from DW, I keep
getting the "File not found" message. I've performed this task
successfully hundreds of times, but now in CS4 I can't put my
finger on my error. I'm using Document relative links, and editing
from the original png. When I navigate to the correct source, edit,
then save, all the images get dumped in the folder at the same
level in the directory as the DW html page. I checked my FW export
settings and the path to the images folder is correctly defined.
After clicking "Done" in FW, control is given back to DW, and the
html page displays without the table.
Feeling kind of desperate...and foolish. Searches on "File
not found" are fruitless. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

But, the marker images on that page are linked to your local computer:
file:///Macintosh%20HD/Users/ ... /June%2027/14/A10%20Page
Which indicates that you were not linking to files within the folders as defined for that site. Which is quite likely, given that it is a completely different path than given in your previous post.
Have you actually defined a site in DW?
And I am a little bit suspicious about that link anyway. Is "June 27/14/A10 Page" a folder or a file?

Reading .txt file into char array, file not found error. (Basic IO)

Iv been having some trouble with reading characters from a text file into a char array. I havnt been learning io for very long but i think im getting the hang of it. Reading and writing raw bytes
and things like that. But i wanted to try using java.io.FileReader to read characters for a change and im having problems with file not found errors. here is the code.

The error is: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\Kaylan\Documents\NetBeansProjects\Mr.Document\dist\Mr.DocumentReadMe.txt (The system cannot find the file specified)
The text file is saved in the projects dist folder. I have tried saving it elsewhere and get the same error with a different pathname.
I can use JFileChooser to get a file and read it into a char array with no problem, why doesnt it work when i specify the path manually in the code?

Well the file clearly isn't there. Maybe it has a .txt.txt extensionthat Windows is kindly hiding from you - check its Properties.
But:

}That doesn't make sense. Read the data into the buffer and repeat until you get EOF? and do nothing with the contents of the buffer? The canonical read loop in Java goes like this:

jEditorPane1.setText(String.valueOf(buffer));Bzzt. That won't give you the content of 'buffer'. Use new String(buffer, 0, count) at least.

JSP file not found. server.xml/web.xml problem?

I have a login.jsp that accepts username and password. Once login is approve, it calls main.jsp file as follows using <jsp:forwards>:

Problem is that the server returns "file not found", when I'm sure the main.jsp is right there! I suspect there is some configuration problem with the Tomcat, but I donno what. Do I need to edit the server.xml or web.xml, coz I didn't?

please check that the jsp file to which you are forwarding the request exist at the same location where forwarding jsp exists.

For some unknown reason , Everytime I record an audio track then attempt to edit it by clicking on the sample edit tab
the window opens up I'll select Time & pitch , Already highlighting the area on the waveform that needs to fixed
with Time/Pitch I'd select any material then adjust the pitch by cents Select the Pre-Listen tab then process and paste
Then up comes File not found result code =-43 File = Logic sample clip 1
What is causing this?

Hi good idea - tried that but still getting the same messages. Any other ideas? Is driving me nuts having to press "ok" twice every time I edit a region.
If I solo the regions (not the channel) then it plays fine without the messages.
