Two questions.
1 What would it take to at least test the functionality of the MB and processor?
I could borrow a stick of ram in my sig and I do have an old PCI vid card somewhere in the house. I do not have atm a PCI-E card. The MB and processor will be tested on a bench as I haven't chosen a case yet.
2 Suggestions on filling out the rest of this rig.
Ram, Video card, optical drives and best BIOS. The North Bridge already has a Vantec cooler installed and the processor came with the stock cooler.
I'll use this for gaming and Folding and am looking for the best bang for the buck, so to speak.
I'll sit back and watch now.

Why can't I search my Address or Current Location and then save this as HOME or say my Start_Point_01?

The least problems you'll have with miniDV cameras. About any miniDV camera will connect to a Mac via Firewire. HDD cameras are an open invitation to trouble, especially as you speak of older computers.
There are well-featured models out there now for 2-300 bucks. But watch out for cameras that connect to the computer via a dock. I had two Sony with these @#$% docking stations .... both docks broke and rendered the cameras useless for capturing. replacing the dock was nearly the price of a new cam.

You can't all apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase/download it.

The issue is related to firefox 3.5 but is also seen in firefox 3.6 the images rendered like a curtain effect if they are not preloaded and the page builds up in part rather than building all at once and showing

When we traverse from one page to the other and this is not different php pages, its the same html page only dom manipulation. to show different gui one after the other. Now on these screens there are some images that are preloaded like loaded upfront and some are pulled at run time when user visits that screen. All images that are pulled on run time show a curtain effect. This is problem number 1, we cannot preload these images since the systems are having only 250mb ram.
Now the other problem is that when the user goes from one screen to the other the entire screen builds up in one shot on ff 1.0.8 but on ff 3.5 or 3.6 it builds up in parts
Do we need to change some configuration in firefox so that the curtain effect is eliminated, Is there a setting in firefox 3.5 that can make the rendering more like ff 1.0.8 or ff 2.
Is there any different that you suggest we do our dom manipulations or some ways that we should not do if that is the cause of the issue. This is very urgent since we are loosing users due to performance problems

Help and suggestion are needed for objects recognization

My problem here in another word is how to recognize and trace the object interested. The objects needed to be recognized are fibers but only single straight-like fiber is interested and multiple, culing, twisting fibers are not interested. Present I can effectively move the fibers to a position desired but I need to implement an algorithm to feedback the position of the fiber being traced. The system device I focus on is being contructed and I have collected some images shown as attachments. Images from 1 to 9 show fibers in first position zone and its imaging background should be the same each other after finalizing(now they are tiny different because I have to tune the positions of the camera and l
ighting sources case by case). Image 10.jpg shows the second position to be observed and there are some constant movable objects, and also some zones in second position are not good for imaging. The best lighting may be as the case of image 10. Tracing zones are first and second positions with the same movable CCD camera.
I have successfully made a VI to filter out a single fiber shown as 1.jpg and known the positions of its both ending, it's no problem for me to solve in this similar cases. But with this same VI, I also filtered out multiple, curling and blocking fibers shown as 2 to 8.jpg and I don't know how to clarify them to be not interested. Key idea in my vi is to compare new image with an image which has been defined as background(subtraction each other). I can filter out the longest one among multiple fibers in which fibers are not toucned each other.
Any suggestions are highly apprecitated because it's quite urgent for me to finalizing the device. I am using Labview 6,
IMAQ vision and IMAQ Vision Builder 6.0.

Aftermarket CPU cooler to fit P6N Diamond and my new build

Hi, after my motherboard finally quit a couple weeks ago, I am starting to build my new system. I just purchased a P6N Diamond motherboard and I'll be picking up an E6700 Core 2 Duo and I already know that I am going to overclock slightly.
With the heat pipes this board has, I'm wondering if and if so, what aftermarket CPU cooler will fit on this board. I'm not going for a major overclock, but I would like to see 3GHz per core or slightly higher.
Also, Does anyone know what speed of RAM I should get to bump this processor up to 3GHz? On my last setup, I used DDR 434 and ran it at speed to get the processor up from 3.0C to 3.24GHz and 3.4E to 3.67GHz (upgraded at one point). I am still not sure on what RAM I should use yet for compatibility issues, but I guess I need to figure out the speed first.
I also just ordered my video card today as well. I went with a EVGA eGeforce 8800GTX Superclocked card. Later on down the road when the price comes down, I'll pick up another to run SLI. From what I read on MSI's website, SLI (with the P6N Plat) doesn't support SLI in Vista... Is this true with the board, or will it be a driver/BIOS issue that can be fixed later?
The computer this is replacing is my HTPC. I used and will again use this thing for just about everything. I regularly watch movies, record/watch TV, listen to music, play games, etc. I have it hooked up to a 40" flat panel LCD HDTV and have loved running and HTPC since I bought the TV in December. Hopefully this next system lives up to what I'm hoping it will be.

Unlocking Iphone help - Orange UK no Help and Suggest Jailbreaking

I purchased an iphone locally.
I have had an orange account for over 2 years.
I rang up last friday to unlock my new phone to any network which they said was going through fine.
I then to be on the safe side filled out the online form also for this.
I received an email confirming this had been done and i will receive confirmation within 20 days.
Yesterday i received a text as below:
"Sorry, we can t complete the request to unlock your phone as the imei provided is not paired to this mobile number"
I called up again today to query this. I was told by customer services that they could not unlock the phone as i was not the original owner.
I asked what happens if the original owner was dead? Was told the phone would not be able to be unlocked.
I then asked what should i do? I was told to get the phone jailbroken!!!
I could not beleive this so asked for customer complaints and was told that orange a massive company do not have customer complaints.
I have then tried ringing back since and have been hung up on twice.
I am at my wits end with this shambles of a company and do not know what else i can do?
Can anyone help??

There's nothing Apple can do. Unlocking is completely up to the cell carrier, and many will not unlock for someone who is not and has never been their customer. The carriers have absolutely no incentive to unlock a phone, so they often make policies as restrictive as they can get away with. In many cases, the only way this changes is due to government pressure or even legislation.
Sorry, but again, if Orange won't unlock for you, return or sell the iPhone.

Help and suggestions for color scheme for multiple flavor package design

I need help choosing colors for a multiple flavor food product line.
My objective in this post is to know how to create or acquire the palette I will need in order to proceed with design, mock ups, marketing collateral etc.
This project requires a color scheme that has enough contrast and variation to represent up to 24 flavors of food packages per type or line of products. Each product flavor or flavor combination (the name of the item, such as Cherry Cocoa Almond or Apricot Vanilla Bean etc.) in the line will be represented by a single color. The product packaging will be white on solid color. The medium will be laser print on gloss label stock.
The problem is that many flavors will use similar colors. Chocolate items will have different hues of browns and Maple or Nut flavors will also use brown tones. Likewise Orange, Apricot and Mango will use similar hues of orange etc. I know the problem could be solved with dual or multiple colors but I do not have that option for this project. All of the packaging is white on single color. There are no accent colors used.
I need to generate the palette before designing the packaging in order to create mock ups for print and then photography for print marketing collateral and internet marketing assets etc.
Does anyone have a good strategy for this or know of any resources available?

Dual screens (not calibrated to Pantone or printer)
Printer: Konica Minolta bizhub c224e
Pantone+ Color Bridge Coated and Uncoated book

I am printing onto gloss labels for mock ups and will be using images for web.

When it comes to design and design sense, sometimes just the name of the item could generate ideas. There really is no right or wrong way to come up with concepts. But, reaching out to other people is a good way of going about it. In product development, I always recommend putting together some sort of focus group and brainstorm ideas back and forth. In larger corporate product departments you would have product managers defining their product descriptions. You might have a marketing group head get involved. Well, I know I am not telling you anything you didn't already know. I'm just saying that, as a designer, I always present my ideas to a few people to get feedback. And, based on that, I can then further develope the idea or dump it and start over. I recently was involved with a new product development and came up with some really great conceptuals. But, then I was told by a product manager that sometimes you have to roll-out something preliminary and, in a few years of selling tons of great items, you then revamp the entire line with a tag that reads "new and improved". This might work in your case where you have limited resources initially. Hope you do well. You could always post screen grabs of what you are thinking and we could give you feedback, too. Just a thought.

Any tools to rollback schema change and map new data to old schema?

What is the best way to rollback a schema change, but preserve the data that is in the new schema?
We are updating an application for a customer, however the customer would like to rollback to the old application if after a few days they run into a critical problem.
The application schema is changing - not a lot, but a number of tables will have extra columns.
To rollback, one would have to re-create the original schema and load data into it from the updated schema.
I thought that the Migration toolkit/workbench might have been able to do this for Oracle --> Oracle migrations, but it appears to only support non-Oracle Database migrations to Oracle.
Are there any oracle tools in say OEM or elsewhere that can handle data transformations?

You are correct, the focus of the Oracle Migration Workbench is on non Oracle databases.
I am not aware of a tool that can automatically do what you want, but it should be possible to do what you want. Depending on the version of Oracle they are running, it is now possible to drop columns for example. Your approach would be based on the nature of the changes. Have you looked into the OEM Change Management pack?

AVCHD 60 Conversion to iMovie 11 help and suggestions (again).

Hi all,
I have a Panasonic HC-V720 and I'd like to be able to work with the videos in iMovie and I've read so much online my head is spinning. The camera shoots in shoots full HD in AVCHD 60, so iMovie won't import, but it will archive the footage. When I try to import from archive, it doesn't find an appropriate folder. None of this is unexpected, though there has been conflicting comments in the discussions and online that state iMovie should be able to import AVCHD 60 from archive and convert automatically to AIC.
The camera also shoots in iFrame which it will import, but not at the highest resolution the camera can provide.
All of this is as expected, but I first of all, I want to make sure I'm not missing something along the way.
Now, as for conversion. I want to convert the AVCHD 60 to something iMovie can use but I want to maintain the resolution. Brorsoft and iSkysoft seem to have products that can do it, but I want to make sure I don't lose resolution. Any suggestions on the best software and/or workflow to make the conversion?

A quick update--iMovie is loading directly AVCHD 1080i from the camera, just not the 1080p. I don't understand why, but I'm not complaining, especially as the 1080i is alledgely also at 60fps. Great news for me. . . .

Hmm.. I should try that! I think last time i did that was how my computer got everything back but now I'm in worse matters....
Now my songs have dissappeared again... and this time, iTunes will NOT recognize it...
uFF~!!!! I hate my Ipod! I'm sick of the horrible support, the problems, glitches... its done with, maybe I should invest in a Zune... seeing that its working fine for my friends...

I am now rethinking about buying an Ipod Classic, I mean i need to rely on it, and if it fails like my past Ipods.. why should I use 250 dollars on something that won't be reliable.

Upgrade help and suggestions

My customer is getting to the size and services that requires some
upgrades to the hardware. I am also thinking of moving file and print
services to a new box. If nothing else hold a copy of NDS.
Current configuration is a NetWare 6.5.6 box with GroupWise 7.0.1,
Symantec Anti Virus and Backup Exec. FYI - Small Business 6.5
Here are my questions:
Do I need to call Novell for a new server license?
Is there a cost?
Would I be better off going to Open Work Group (If I Can get them to
spend $$)?
Can I bring an OES server into the same tree?
Also what kind of hardware specs are peopkle looking at? I know for
NetWare 4 GB is plenty, how about the Linux side?

OK -- true, you can't purchase SBS 6.5 (or 6.6) new -- but in your case
you don't need to. You already are licensed for additional servers.

OK -- I have one client with a three server configuration -- all Dell
-- 1 - PowerEdge 1800, and 2 PowerEdge 2800. So we're talking similar

Regarding the memory upgrade -- you might add 1G there to get it to 3G,
you'll not see anything in the way of real performance gains above that
as the additional memory gets mapped as extended. The UPS we have
running the servers are a pair of APC 2200's -- they do the job nicely.

ITunes, filename cleanup and id3tag clean up HELP and suggestions.. :)

I went to this website http://www.dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/searchTheScripts.php has tons of scripts and such but i cant' seem to find one that fits my needs via the search as well as google..
I have my mp3's organized by filename.. artist name - song name.mp3 ex. Killarmy - 5 stages of consciousness
I have been doing it manually but there has to a different and better way... I have about 4000 songs and i done did 1000 of them in two weeks.. I'm lookin for a script that removes the _ underscore character in filenames, for example Killa-_army_-_5_stages_ofconsiousness.mp3 that ish looks ******** plus i want a clean easy to look and navigate system for my mp3's..
can anyone help? Also any tips and info on running sed scripts would be greatly appreciated as i have never run one yet..
also i tried wikipedia but got nowhwere what is the "standard" format for naming songs and their respective id3 tags?
What are others tips and info for keeping my collection clean and organized by filename and the same thing for cleaning up my id3 tags? I don't like muche less use itunes keep songs organized options as i did not like the way it created hundreds of folders/albums based on the crappy id3 tags..

AUTOMATOR was awesome!!!! it came thru EXACTLY what i needed and wanted..
In basics all i was doing was renaming file's workgroup.. is there a way to save that so that i jus click on it and it comes in and i then jus add my files i want to rework? otherwise i ended up doing set of files by right clickin and goin to automator and basically startin over for each one...
also i found that if you do one run command and then go back and do another one it has no effect? why is that? ex. I replace an (1) with a space on ten files in automator I then click on another workgroup to insert text and run it and NOTHING happens.. i have to close automator and right click and set it all up again... kinda tedious.. but overall mad happy wit the results..
It does not that automator allows me apply it to itunes specifically the ID3 tag info.. so whats the best way to go about cleanin up my id3 tags? anyone?
any more tips and issues on this would help?

2. I have my filenames in chronological order but when i xfr em to my ipod they are all out of order, why is that and how do i fix that?

HI Linksys Admin I am planning on wiring my house with cat 6 or 7. Witch cat is batter to use. I have one VOIP line, two Stander line, one ADSL line. With this I went to put a switchboard or intercom system so I can call any room in the house, transfer calls, answer the door when someone comes to the door. What the best why to go about it and what produces should I use. Can you show it in a diagram so I can see what it look like. Take care

take a look at an SPA9000/ / SPA400 and SPA942/SPA962 combo's
just not sure about the intercom or how your switch board is setup but the device should prettty much handle you internal calling function.
