Help, app world is lost :(

Basically my little icon for App world has disappeared from my home page or home screen or whatever so I can't go into app world. Does anyone know what I should do? Thanks XX

1. On your homescreen, press the Menu key > SHOW ALL, so that SHOW ALL is checked.
2. Look in EACH folder on your device... Applications, Instant Messengers, Downloads, etc.
If you still don't see it, look at Options > Device > Applications. Do you see it listed there?

  • HELP HELP App world icon disappeared

    My App World icon has disappeared from desktop while uptdating to ver 3.1.0.56. I have checked this forums and it seems it's a widespread problem and the solution is to wipe the cell phone software and then reinstall everything.
    However, I am not satisfied with this solution as: 1 - I paid a lot of money for a work instrument that is software prorietary; 2 - I have no computer I can use to install BB software as I am running Linux; 3 - RIM has been aware of this bug some time but yet hasn't done anything to fix it or avoid it in the future.
    So my question now is: is there another way to make my icon reappear or should I just replace my and all my employees' cell phones with Android ones?

    Have a look at the post above - it depends on which version you're talking about. A lot of people were having problems with version .56 and then installing the BB ID app after doing the update. Then with version .58, a lot of people had the problem with the AppWorld icon disappearing after the upgrade. If this is your problem, then you can simply go to http://appworld.blackberry.com/ on your phone and install version .56 from there and that should overwrite .58 to .56. Hope this helps...

  • Lost BB App World

    I bought my bb torch 9800 6 days ago. A day after I bought this, a message pops up saying that I can upgrade the version of my app world, I did what the message tells me to do. After I have downloaded everything, another message pops up saying to complete the download I should reboot my bb. I did it also. After the reboot, my app world has lost. Not present in my menu. Been tried to download it again using the browser, still no app world. What should I do?

  • Please help urgently - can't download App World

    Dear all,
    I posted yesterday about how I've lost access to WhatsApp on my Blackberry Z10. I'm a lecturer and use WhatsApp to communicate with my students so it is urgent that I get back on ASAP. I could not get the application to update or download so I deleted it but that has not helped. The root problem seems to be that App World is gone from my BB, and I can't get it back either.
    I have tried several methods of downloading App World and none of them work.
    1. If I enter the URL appworld.blackberry.com in the browser on my BB, I get the error "Unable to open appworld://"
    2. If I visit www.blackberry.com/appworld/download as instructed on the BB website, it states:
    "Simply visit www.blackberry.com/appworld/download from your smartphone to download. Or, enter an email address that’s integrated with your BlackBerry smartphone below and click submit to have a download link sent to you."
    When I enter the URL www.blackberry.com/appworld/download in my BB browser it simply refreshes the same page with the same instructions.
    3. If I enter the email address integrated with my BB, it sends me an email with the following URL in it:
    http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld
    Currently, entering this URL on my PC or in my BB yields an "HTTP Status 500" exception report. Previously (last night), the same URL was giving the following instruction: "Downloads via a USB connection are not enabled for this product. Please visit our mobile download site using the browser on your Blackberry." But I was using the browser on my BlackBerry and not a USB connection.
    4. Searching around the web desperately for a workaround, I found a suggestion to download BlackBerry App World directly from the web at this link. However, when I downloaded this file to my BB and tried to open it, it just said "Unable to open file".
    I'm now out of ideas! Please help.

    Thats strange! To confirm, what happens if tyou open BlackBerry World and search for WhatsApp?
    This should allow you to see WhatsApp and provide a Install option (link). 
    If searching for the app doesnt produce any results, try scanning the following QR Code using BlackBerry World on your device. To do this, open BlackBerry World, swipe down from the top of your screen and tap Scan Barcode.

  • Upgraded App World.. Lost the App World icon

    I have a BB Tour 9630.  I got an alert today telling me I had to download the upgrade in order to continue.  I dowbnloaded, was told the download and install were successful but not the App World icon is no where to be found. 
    Any ideas??

  • HELP!! I'm trying to purchase a gift for someone in app world and it won't work!!

    I received a gift request for an app in Blackberry App World and I am tryi g desperately to accept it but all I get is "please wait" it is driving me crazy. I was able to buy one once before and had the same problems but after deleting app world, rebooting a ton of ti.es and restalling app world I finally got it to work. There has to be an easier way...seriously rim! I have reinstalled app world 2x, rebooted at least 5x...tried everything I can think of including turning off Blackberry Protect but it still just says "please wait". I'm going mad can someone PLEASE help!!!!!!

    You didn't say what version your trial is. Is it 10.1?
    Right click on one of the clips and hit Reveal in Finder. Then select the clip it takes you to and open it in Quick Time . Hjt Command-i and post a screen shot of the Inspector info

  • Error message when trying to access Blackberry app World. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

    I am a first time blacberry user and i thought everything was going great, u know it takes a few days to access all the new gadget's on your phone. Well i have had my phone for months and not one time have i been able to access my app world from my phone i continually receive and error message after i input my log in information in. It is a complete waste of my monthly charges not being able to have full access to my phone. Please somebody  help me

  • Help! Cant log in to BB App World -changed email and now asking for original user name associated email

    I have a bold 9790. I have changed my BB app world email as I cant access that original email anymore, so changed email address, i registered it online in the bb website, when i go to update apps i try and log in to the appworld with my new email it says 'enter user name associated with this smartphone', and just canot log in...PLEASE HELP

    Hi @elc088! Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
    If you're referring to BlackBerry ID, then you need to perform a Security Wipe before you can login using your new credentials. Make sure you have a backup because this will delete all of your data.

  • HELP ME PLEASE - TROUBLES WITH BB APP WORLD AND CANNOT INSTALL APPLICATIO​NS

    can anyone help me... I've been trying all day to try and download apps from my desktop to my BB Curve 8520. i was trying to download dexrex... so i select to download it, i get redirected to a page that asks me for my email and PW, I provide the info and am redirected to another page "blackberry app world setup" 
    step 1 states "You have installed the BlackBerry App World Browser Plug-in on this computer."
    Step 2 asks for me to connect my smartphone and select my device. I select the only PIN available that comes up. I am prompted for a Password and provide it.
    Step 3 states the following... "you have a version of blackberry app world that enables account creation"
    I click onto Next on the bottom left - and terms and conditions come up, i select "i agree"
    then this comes up from paypal....
    "Our records indicate that you have already paid for items in App World with a PayPal account. To transfer your paid items to your My World account and connect your PayPal account to your My World account, please click the button below to be taken to the PayPal site to validate your credentials."
    the only thing to click on really is the paypal ... and i get redirected to the blackberry ID sign in page and repeat all the same steps as above.
    Please help me!!!

    I've gone through the exact same process as you. Frustrating!!
    It's infuriating to get an error message that says "Blackberry App World cannot be downloaded from Blackberry App World."
    And it's downright SCARY to get the following message when you've NEVER used PayPal in your life:
    "Our records indicate that you have already paid for items in App World with a PayPal account. To transfer your paid items to your My World account and connect your PayPal account to your My World account, please click the button below to be taken to the PayPal site to validate your credentials."
    These are problems that just shouldn't be happening. Don't tell me I have a PayPal account when I do not.
    At this point I don't see a way to proceed without creating a PayPal account... is it the case that Blackberry App World is unusable without a PayPal Account?
    If there is a way to proceed without a PayPal account I would love to know what that is.
    If there is not, then why don't you just say, "You must create a PayPal Account to use BlackBerry App World"?

  • Help with app world

    Hi am wondering if anyone could help me , I had a bb 8520 before I got my bb 9320 and I had bought themes on my 8520 , I have looked on bb app world and I can get them for my bb 9320 but I have set up a diffrent email adress to the one that was on my 8520 , is there anyway I can access my old email through bb app world so I can download the themes I had paid for and purchased on my bb 8520 , I went to the themes a was wanting tried to puschase them and put in my old email adress but it says to enter the email adress which is linked to my bb app world could someone pls help me with this !

    AppWorld records, including purchases, remain attached to the BB ID. Hence, you must use the same BB ID on the new device in order to transfer the apps to the new device. But, since you are already in a position where you've created a new BB ID, you must abandon that and shift this BB over to your old BB ID. To do so, refer:
    KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or BlackBerry smartphone
    The resolution is indeed drastic, so please be sure you have a good backup from which to restore after completing the WIPE. Hopefully, your new BB ID has no records you need to retain (e.g., new purchases) as there is no automated way to merge two BB ID accounts.

    Hello everyone!
    I'm new around here and I registered solely and exclusively to help me I'm desperate! well I tell you my problem, I have a 9300 with virgin mobile plan but they only work with Opera Mini, well last week I desactualizo the whatsapp and try updating but the "App World" says that he also has to be updated. Obvious is the comment "And because it was downloaded over WiFi" ok my phone does not have wifi is damaged.
    So I need a solution that implies that it can be downloaded via USB is installed from the pc.
    Sorry if it is not understood but google translator is a severe **bleep**

    Oh and I forgot when I try to download to install the Web Plug-In fails me and not let me install it

    just go to the blackberry website and download the blackberry app world plugin...then connect the device and download the apps thru usb cable

  • Help! I cant use BB App World v3 in my Storm

    I really need your help, my blackberry app world was missing and i download BB app world v.3.
    If I want to use the bb app world, there's notification appear "A blackberry Identity update is needed. Would you like to install it now?"  . the instalation isn't complete, the notification is "Blackberry identity instalation failed, Please try again later (80003)".
    I've tried many times but still failed.
    Please help... i am searching the BB App world v.2 but didn't find it.

  • Unable to get in to blackberry app world! Please help?

    I have a blackberry curve 8520, and every time I go into app world it asks me to log in, I cannot remember my username, and im unable to get into my email account as it was hacked. As a result I was going to delete my app world I have at the moment, re-download it and make  a new id, but it will not let me? what can I do in order to download apps?
