HELP: Artwork on Nano

i've added artwork to all of the songs on my nano but only one of the pictures for a song shows up. yes the "Manually manage songs and playlists" and "Display artwork.." option was checked. any help? thanks.

You might just need to plug your ipod in again and have it automatically update from your itunes library (again). The artwork usually appears for me the second time I update, if it doesn't appear the first time.

UPDATE
i was able to connect and synced songs yesterday.
but when i tried it again today. i cant connect again.
i tried to disconnect and reconnect million times and i even dropped
my iPOD and now it has some scratch and i hate it.

Ok, well, my battery was low so I decided to charge it like, three days ago. Ok? Now, I charged it from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am. I woke up at 6:00 am to unplug it and have a great day. Then, the screen was just plain old black. I checked to see if it was on hold, it wasnt. I tried turning it on, it didnt turn on. I tried reseting it, it wouldnt reset. I followed the steps given for support, it didnt work. I deleted my cookies, it didnt work. Now, it wont turn on and I cant listen to my music! I'm so ****** at apple!!!!! What should I do?

Mismatched Album Artwork on Nano

If you have a problem with mismatched album artwork after a Nano update, try going into iPod preferences and clicking off the "add album artwork" toggle button. After an update deletes the album artwork from the Nano, re-click the "add album artwork" toggle button and update the Nano again. The album art should match up with the correct artists.

Not working for me. When I re-check the Display Album Artwork box then the following error message is displayed:
The iPod "XXXX's iPod" cannot be updated. An unknown error occurred (-50).
Not very impressed. Can anyone help?

Help - my iPod Nano is not recognised by windows

Hi I have recently bought a new ipod nano (8gb Aluminium case) and it is not recognised by windows. I have run through all of the trouble shooting tips (reseting ipod, reinstalling itunes, getting latest windows updates, even deleting my temp files). I have also tried all USB ports and tested them with a memory stick to make sure that they are working.
I can hear the standard windows sonic (ding-dong) when I plug in the ipod, but there is no indication of it in my computer or itunes.
Can anyone help me here?

Have you tried putting your iPod into disk mode, then connect it to your computer?

The following happened to me.
I copied file to my IPOD nano in windows explorer. After doing this my nanos is not recognized by windows. I get a message that the usb device is not working propely and I cant see the nano in the exporer anymore. It doesnt work with Itunes either.....
Please help anyone.. I have noidea what to do to get it working again

I think that it could help if I can get my nano restored. The problem is that i cant get it to connect to the computer. When it doesnt connect to the computer I cant restore it that way. Is there any other way to restore the Ipod?
I tried to connect the nono ti two different PC:s. It got it connected before "pasting" the fili on the Ipod:s harddisk (copied and pasted in windows explorer). After I did this I only get the error message that there is something wrong with the connection.
Besides this the Ipod is working fine (can listen to music as earlier). It is even chargeing when it is connected to the usb cable. But I just cant get it to communicate with Win XP anymore.
Please give me some advise if anyone have a clue what to do or heard of someone with similar problem.

I need help getting my nano to work with my mac!

I just got a mac for christmas, and I would like to get all of my music on to my mac. when i try and sync, it will not work. I want all of my songs to go into I tunes, so that this can become my new i-tunes computer. I have a nano. Can anyone help me with thiss???

If you are moving from an existing Mac to a new Mac the easiest thing to do is connect the two Macs via a Firewire cable and run the Migration assistant. If you are moving files from a Windows platform or you don't want to use the Migration assistant review this article.

I need urgent help! IPOD nano...

Hello people. Let me start off by explaining the condition of my IPOD nano. It's already been a year since I cracked its screen and 80% of it is now black and the remaining, sadly, only shows the white areas of the screen.
So basically, with the screen, I can only tell whether it's switched on or off. Anyway, it still function like any other IPOD except the visual disadvantage, which, I managed to overcome as I've gotten used to my IPOD's interface and my song's are arranged in alphabetical order.
My current issue here is that, lately, I am unable to switch on my IPOD. Assuming the battery was dead, I connected it to my notebook and allowed it to charge (my notebook was able to recognize it as well). However, to no avail, I was still not able to switch it on. I tried resetting it as well. Unfortunately, nothing seems to resurrect my IPOD.
After a day or two leaving it alone at 1 corner, I decided to connect it to my notebook once again. This time, the light blinks on and off for about 3 times and then switches off. During the process, there was this beeping sound too. Again, my notebook was able to recognize the IPOD.
To surmise, I still have not given up on my IPOD as I believe it is still working due to the fact that it still emits out light AND sound AND my notebook was able to read it. So if anyone out there is able to help me out here or if possible what would the beeping sounds mean and the three flashes of light, I would truely appreciate it!

Need Help. Unresponsive Nano. help?

Well, a few days ago i was listening to my Nano while i was going to bed. I would turn it off by holding down the play button and the pressing the hold slider to "hold position". It was working perfect before i layed it down on the table near where I sleep.
A few days later, i decide i want to listen to it while i go out and play some tennis, so i try to turn it on in order to see how much charge it has. Next thing i know the black apple screen pops up as normal and i get a folder with a notice sign next to it. So i think, "what the heck?!" and underneath the little notice Icon it gives me this link.

So i go to this link, check out what it means. Try to restart the Nano over and over but it just goes black, and then gives me the Icon and URL and then turns off. I have no idea what to do at that point.
So, i come here to download the new updates and decide to just install the new updates and restore it back to factory settings. So i download the 3-23-06 updates and install, it gives me "error" or something. So i uninstall it. Re-install the same 3-23-06 updates and run it, restart computer and still error. So i say screw it. Uninstall and then go to my Ipod Nano case and get out my old CD with the old updates on it. Install it, restart, let it initialize.
Then i connect my Ipod to my computer via USB and then my Nano then says "do not dissconect" and the circling arrows are going around. So i leave it for about 5 minutes going and when i come back same thing. So i ditch that plan and run the old updates, detects it and tells me that i need to restore. So, i click restore and then let it run and when i come back it says "Can not load Ipod". So then i reset it and try again. Same thing. This is while it still says "do not disconnect". The Battery is Full.
So then i go to "my computer" and see that it detects (I:) Drive. Which is my Ipod. So i click it, and it tells me "the disk in Drive I is not formatted. Format now?". So i click yes, just to see what happens. Then it tells me... "the disk in Drive (I:) can not be formatted" and thats it.
I have no clue what is going on. I might try to connect it to antother computer and see if that helps. Any suggestions?
If needed i can get a movie.

Ok, so now the same screen has been going on for about 10 minutes. I seriously needed this to work, because im going on a trip to see family in a few hours. I guess im going to have to try to listen to my sisters.
I tried it in Disk Mode, I tried it in regular mode.
In Diskmode it says "it is ok to dissconect Ipod, then i put int he USB and it says "do not dissconect". I got to I: Drive and still, cant be read. Everytime i start my Ipod in normal mode i get a black apple logo, and then it gives me a folder with a sign with a exclamation point in it. Beneath that it says "apple.com/support/ipod". It then shuts down, and on some occasions goes to a "do not dissconect" screen, even when its not plugged in.
I have tried everything. I have tried it on 3 different computers and nothing has fixed it. I am about to call Apple Support and see what i can do. This really *****, it was a gift from my girlfriend who i love very much, it means a lot to me to get this fixed. GRR.. My backlight doesnt even turn on.

Help! my nano won't turn on!

i tried using my nano the other night, and it wouldnt turn on, which was strange because it was turned off, so ive been looking up how to fix it, and it says to restart it, but it wont do that, and its not the hold thing, im not sure what the problem is, but on the screen, it kind of has a thing where if you angle it, you can read it and it says...

Help! My Nano is frozen again!

Help! This is so wierd. I brought home my first 4GB NANO last weekend. I synched all of my songs and it played fine all weekend. On my way home on the train I played a few songs, and my wheel was frozen. I tried resetting, re-installing the software, nothing. I returned it to the Apple Store, and received a new one.
Guess what? The same exact thing happenned while on the train going home! The wheel froze and my Nano is unresponsive!
Has anyone have this problem? Is there a way to get it to work again? It says that's it's fully charged, but nothing works. Yes, the hold is off. I've done the reset thing with the hold button, and the menu and selection button. Nothing seems to work.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Use the Ipod updated to restore ur ipod it happend to me it will delete ur music but u have it on ur pc so no biggie.

Help I've had my iPod nano 7th generation for about 6 months now. It's always worked fine until one day after charging it, it will no longer turn on. It does get hot when I try to charge it or reboot it (reboot using the home and on/off button together). Can anyone please help?

Can someone help with new nano? song duration turned to dots??

i pressed something by mistake yesterday and now where the song duration/time usually is at the bottom there is just 5/6 dots?? can someone please help ?

Press the center button.
This will switch between volume, scrubber (position in song), rating, lyrics and artwork.
The 5 dots screen is a rating scale. Select this screen, roll the wheel to select 0-5 and press the center button to rate the song.
There is a problem sometimes with this though.
Don't press the button too quickly.

I need help with my nano p

I have a ZEN nano plus GB I have used it meavy 0 times last year this week I started working out again and for some reason it is not turning on. I did the software upgrade and it didn't work. any help will be appreciated.

Make sure you're using a fresh battery and try the firmware update again (use recovery mode per the instructions on Creative's support website, also let the update application format the data area). If the update fails try different USB ports and/or a different computer. If it still doesn't turn on after a successful update, it's probably dead and you should try to get it replaced if it's still covered by warranty.
Oh, and you're keeping the power/play button pressed for a few (2-3?) seconds, right?Message Edited by dingens on 03-07-20070:6 PM

Help please w/nano plu

Hello there! I am frustrated!! I see some others are having problems with the nano plus also. I am so ready to toss it aside and purchase another mp3 but not a creative one. Here are my problems.
. It does not display on the device all the music that went through (per the computer). Ex. I downloaded 50 and only 48 tracks show. It shows I have tons of space left on the device and also on the computer. The same number of space is the same on both.
2. How do you keep it from going into seperate folders? I have 30 something, or at least that is what is displayed. I use widows media.
3. It will turn off during certain songs. I have tried to erase the whole thing and start over numerous times and then it will play those songs but turn off on some where the problem was not occurring.
I have GB space. Now come on....48 tracks as the most it could have...never!!! Please help me. Thanks from down here in Texas

How do you transfer files to the player? If they are protected you need to use Mediasource or Windows Media Player to transfer the songs, otherwise the licenses won't transfer. The default for Windows Media Player when creating WMA files from CD is with protection. I suggest that you make mp3 files from your CDs and transfer them to folders on the player using Windows Explorer. With certain firmware and WMA files the Nano Plus does at times have an issue of shutting off under certain circumstances. Using MP3 files also gets better battery life than using WMA files.
