Help ASAP-Blackberry Curve is being wiped

I have a Blackberry Curve 8530. My phone locks itself after two minutes and I enter a password to unlock it. By accident, I entered it incorrectly the first two times and even though I was sure I entered the right password the third time, my phone started being wiped. So, I took out the battery right away and as of now the battery is still out of the phone. Is there anything I can do to get my information back/stop it from being wiped? Should I put the battery back in? Any help would really be appreciated!

Hi zukiharu
Welcome to Support Forums
Sorry to hear that ! By default  it set to 10 unless someone change the attempt option as in your case you got only 3 attempts. If we enter Incorrect password then for security reason our BlackBerry device will wipe itself up. And I sorry to say that if you don't have a backup then its all lost forever.
I think you are not able to properly enter your password on the BlackBerry  keyboard. For example , if your password is
zuki123
And you enter z > u >k > i > alt > 1>2>3
 the actual result will be
zuki1er
You must enter
z > u > k  > i >  alt > 1 > alt > 2 > alt > 3
to get zuki123 on your device. So, while on the BlackBerry  keyboard you think you are typing zuki123 but you are actually typing zuki1er
I hope it will help in future course.
Prince

  • Email help on Blackberry Curve 8520

    Hi Everyone
I am a new blackberry user and have one question. I have set up my yahoo email account and it was working find, I could send and receive emails. Now I can send emails but not receive emails unless i log into my WI-FI?? Can anyone help me on this as I do not want to be connected to wi-fi to receive emails.
    Thank you

    Hi there!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
    1) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
    2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS conduits for the affected email accounts.

  • Help! Blackberry curve emails......

Hi ~ For some reason my blackberry email cursor jumps to the last entry with X, at the beginning of my emails/texts. How in the world do I get it back to the top - without rolling the ball to the beginning... any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. This is so annoying, and it happens quite often. Not even sure why it is happening.

    Quick keys on a BlackBerry:
Press "T" to jump to the top of any list / page / application

  • Help! Blackberry Curve 8530 won't go to Home screen only stays at carrier screen!

The other day I updated my Quick Pull app. I forgot to reset the times in which i wanted it to reboot. Last night I remembered and set the time. I normally set it for 3, but since it was 3 it wouldn't be able to reboot until this evening. After I was done with my phone, I rebooted it manually by going to the app and clicking reboot. My battery was also low in the red so I stuck the charger in it. When I woke up this morning my phone was dead, if had fell on the floor and the charger came out. I put the charger back in a waited a little while for it to charge. When it came on, it only went to the Cricket screen, but would not go to the home screen. I took the battery out multiple times, I waited patiently, yet my phone is still stuck on the cricket screen.. Is there anyway to reset it so that it can work again?

    Please try this first:
Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the charging cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage). If it doesn't reboot on the first attempt, leave it several more hours. I've had one charge for two days before it came back to life after an extreme battery depletion. Every 3-4 hours, with the device still connected to the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it reboots.

  • HELP! Blackberry Curve has frozen on me, wont let me do anything!

I called Vodafone they said it needed updating, i updated it by connecting it to my laptop. That didnt work! I now have a phone that flashes telling me theres a message but has a frozen screen. I have tried taking the battery out, it didnt help at all.

Before taking it in, see if you have any luck reloading the OS.  If BlackBerry Desktop Software will allow the process with your phone in its current state, it'll save you a trip to the store and the trouble of getting a replacement.
To do this, plug your phone in to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  The first thing you'll want to do is a data backup.  Click Device at the top of the software then click Backup.  Once the backup has completed, click Device at the top then click Restore.  Choose the most recent restore point and load it.
If this does the trick, I saved you some aggravation and you're welcome.  If it doesn't, I guess that trip to the Vodafone store is inevitable.  If at all possible, try to do a data backup either way so you don't lose anything if you get another phone.
    Cheers.

  • BLACKBERRY CURVE 8530,, help me ASAP.. P L E A S E

So I had this blackberry curve 8530 for about a week already. I like this device, but it does not let me send or receive picture messages. I need help ASAP...  P L E A S E

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Picture Messaging (technically, MultiMedia Messaging Service -- MMS) is a function of your contract with your mobile service provider (Sprint). You must subscribe, from them, to a plan level that is adequate to include MMS (and any other services you desire). As such, discussing this with them would be the best approach. See this for general guidance:
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/What_do_I_need_a_Data_Plan_for%3F
Again, that is only general -- with hundreds of carriers in the world each with dozens of different data plans, only they can answer specifically about what should and what should not work.
If they tell you that you are subscribed to an adequate data plan, then don't let them fob you off. After all, you pay them for 100% of your services and 100% of your formal support...you should insist that they deliver both.
    Good luck!

  • HELP Needed ASAP! Curve Not Turning On, Red Flashing Lights!

    Hi,
I have a Blackberry curve 8310. I plugged my curve into my mac to do a software update. Midway through, my phone shut off and hasn't worked since. The battery is fully charged. The phone is off and won't turn on. Additionally, there is a red LED light blinking twice every few seconds. I think I found an article on blackberry.com's knowledge database that diagnosed my issue, but my problem now is that because the curve isn't turning on/off, it's not connecting to my mac's desktop manager. So I can't do anything the article tells me to do. What should I do now? I need help ASAP!
Here's the link to the article: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB19915
    Thanks in advanced!

Hello Asmro and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
It can take up to 30 minutes for the Mac to connect to the BlackBerry.
I would remove your battery and connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Once it comes up there is no software installed, re-insert the battery and follow the article KB19915.
Let me know how you make out.

  • My Curve 9300 lost service need help ASAP

I lost all serivce on my blackberry curve 9300 and the only way I get service is if I go outside my house. Sometimes I get service in my house but it's for 5 seconds and then I get "searching for network" then it goes to "SOS" I need help ASAP.

My carrier won't do anything about it because I'm not an authorized user of the account which is stupid. I wasn't having a problem with service for about a year and yesterday my service just cuts out for no apparent reason.
Hello...well, that's a bit disconcerting...aiding and abetting what could be an unethical use of service...but I'm hopeful that there are further details that mitigate that suspicion. In any event, review this KB for perhaps helpful information:
KB03448 Network status indicator shows "SOS" on the BlackBerry smartphone
It is possible that they have a tower out, and you now are receiving service from a more distant tower, which does not have adequate signal strength to work through the walls of your house. But, sadly, there is no way for you to actually find out if such is the case or not.
    Good luck!

  • HELP!!!! Can't Open Picture attachments on my email on BlackBerry Curve 8530

I am having many problems with my new blackberry curve 8530.  I just purchased this last week and can't seen to be able to view my pictures that my brother sends me from across the country of my brand new nephew. I NEED HELP!!  I called Bell Mobility and talked to them for 40 mins and I got no where.
    Can someone help me!!!!

Where are you clicking to view the image, like I asked.
At the bottom of the email, ON the attached file?
    Try that.
You might need your BlackBerry Attachment Service Books re-pushed to the device, although your not being able to SEND an image sorta makes me think that is not the issue.
    Anyways, do this:
On your BlackBerry device, go to:
    1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.
    2. Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:
    From your handheld device:   http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402
Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and log in. Then under Help!, select Service Books, then select Send service Books.
Now, try retrieving a picture again.
    From your desktop PC:  http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American Carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
WorldWide Carriers - Find your carrier on the list
    3. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot. This reboot, even if you have already done this, is often needed to install the service books.
