Help ASAP...can't open site

Question

I have a few web sites that I am running that were all built in iweb. I need to update one of them, but I do not know how to open the site up in iweb. Currently one of the other sites is the only site in iweb right now. How do I go about opening the other sites in iweb to make changes?????

In order to make changes to a site it must be included in the Domains.site file that's located in your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder. All components of a web site is included in it. It your domain file does not contain the site you want, then, unless you've got a backup copy of the Domains.site file that contains the other site(s), you'll have to reconstruct the site(s) from scratch. You can use the published version to guide you and even download the photos and other add ins to use again.
In the future I suggest you use varkgirl's Automator application for backing up your domain file on a frequent basis, i.e. after any changes, published or not, have been made.
Also if you are managing multiple sites you might be interested iniWebSites. I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.
