Help! asap please, BTwifi home hub/problem with bt...

I have bt home hub and btwifi and I also have a tescomobile mobile phone, which, when I am at home, I would normally use the internet on my phone using my btwifi home hub, as this saves me using my 500mb data allowance.
Since installing this app, I have had a lot of problems.
I cannot connect to my btwifi hub through my phone, and although I am only a week into my tescomobile monthly data allowance I have already used half of it.
I since uninstalled the btwifi app but am still getting problems connecting to the internet via my own home wifi.
I have turned my wifi on, on my phone, but it says H+ at the top of my phone.
On the list of wifi it stil says btwifi with fon.
I phoned bt customer services on 0844 38100010, and the gentleman talked me through installing an app called supremocontrol, and he ran a scan on my computer and said that for the last two weeks, I have had hackers in my computer and I could lose my computer.
He said the hackers have been in for the last two weeks, well, I installed the btwifi app about ten days ago, so that kinda matches.
He tried to get me to install security software at £49.00 but I am on a low income and cannot afford to do this right now or for the forseable future.
What help would I like here?
I would like to know how to connect to my home wifi on my mobile again.
I would also like to know the situation regarding hackers and how to keep my computer safe.
I am currently using microsoft security
I am a bit of a dummy regarding all this technical stuff so no jargon please if you can.

Need help ASAP...iPhone activation problems

Today i bought two verizon iPhones from the apple store. I activated one just fine but I'm having problems with the other one. I used the upgrade for one of my lines on the account to purchase the other phone. I actually bought this for a friend who will use the iPhone on her own personal account. When I went to the apple store they "activated" the phone but didn't hook it up to the computer for iTunes or anything. Are there any steps I need to take before I give the phone to her so she can have a smooth transition in activating the phone because she lives in another state than I do? Do I have to hook the phone up to iTunes and activate it on my line or no? then switch back to old phone? Phone has never been hooked up to the computer. Need help ASAP please.

Your battery is running quickly because your cellular data connection is weak.
Is your phone carrier a supported carrier: Wireless carrier support and features for iPhone in the United States and Canada - Apple Support
For your no service issues: If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

try to press the sleep/wake button + home button at the same time and hold them until the apple logo appears. that should help.

Replace Home Hub 4 with Netgear DGN2000?

I recently switched to BT Broadband from NewNet and replaced the Netgear DGN2000 ADSL wi-fi router that I had been using with the Home Hub 4 supplied by BT.
I am finding that the wi-fi coverage provided by the Home Hub 4 is not as extensive as that provided by the DGN2000.
Can I replace the Home Hub 4 with the Netgear DGN2000 and, if so, what username and password would be required to access BT?

I would suggest that you start by resetting the Netgear to factory default, to remove any existing configurations. Then start again via the setup wizard, if there is one.
You normally need to enter a password in the second field, use a password of BT.

Normally if it fails to authenticate, you are automatically directed to a BT Wholesale website.
I am assuming that you are still on an ADSL connection, and not BT Infinity with the Openreach modem?

No. The HomeHub has a built in modem that must be used to access your Internet service.
The AirPort Extreme is only a router. It does not have a modem onboard.
You could the AirPort Extreme with the HomeHub....but not instead of the HomeHub.

Problem connecting to Home Hub 2 with a Kindle Fir...

My parents have just bought a Kindle Fire HD and I'm helping them set it up, but I'm having to do it via Skype video because I live a long way away. This is their only wifi device; their PC is connected to their Home Hub 2 via Ethernet cable.
They've got wifi connectivity, but when they try to access the internet on the Kindle they always get directed to the BT Fon login page. Would I be correct in thinking that this is because they're actually connected to *somebody else's* Home Hub 2 in the same street? My parents left the SSID of the Home Hub as the factory default, and that's what they looked for in the list of available networks, so presumably one of their neighbours also has a Home Hub 2 and also hasn't changed the SSID?

Yes, that is the case, unless they opted out of BT wifi/FON. If they never intend to use any of the free BT hotspots when away from home, then opting out will remove those extra SSIDS.
The automatic connection to BT FON is a common problem. On most devices there is an option to "forget" the BT FON/BT wifi connections, and the device should not re-connect to them.
See if you can get them to do that first, then try and reconnect to BTHomehub2-NHRR, entering the wireless key when prompted.
Do they have any other wireless devices connected to the home hub 2?

PLEASE HELP! I'm desperate! Problems with buttons.

I've tried a few different forums on the net and so far there has been no reponse to my problem below. My coursework is due in tomorrow and I'm at my wits end.
I am really new to Flash and am having a problem with my application. I have created a button that I want to use to activate some pre-recorded film. I know I need to use some code to do this, however I can't seem to get it right.
I have deleted the film from the library as I thought it may be a problem in how I imported the .flv files, so I will need to reimport these (with some advice on how to do it right).
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, i am new to this forum and have limited knowledge about the Zen NX and would really appreciate any help or advice that you could offer. O.K. i got a Zen NX in Jan 2004, ran the software disc supllied, no problem. I then turned on the player but it was not recognised by the computer ("Device not connected") so i went to the support site and found out that this was a known problem and needed to download a piece of software which i think was named (Drv_JB3.EXE)?. Once this was done i had no problem at all and the player turned out to be a great piece of kit. About two months ago i had to re-set my computer to the factory settings because of a virus, anyway yesterday i decided i would put the software back in for the Zen NX and add some new music. I did everything as before, and luckily i had saved the extra piece of software that was required in order to get the computer to recognise the player. Unfortunately, everytime i tried to download the software it just kept saying that there was a problem with the driver and that i should reconnect the player in order for the software to work, which of course never happened and it just kept on repeating this message everytime i reconnected the player. Anyway i spent the rest of the day uninstalling the main software and reinstalling and then trying the latest drivers downloaded from the creative website and also the latest version of Media Source etc, all to no avail (getting well pi**ed off at this point) i even did a "restore" in XP to see if this would help but no joy. Just to let you know i think that the origional driver version was (.23.00) and the Creative Media Source version was (.0.84). I do not think that there is a problem with the USB port or cable as the computer recognises that a new piece of hardware as been added when i plug in the player.
I have posted this message on nomadness.net but as yet i have had no reply
Any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated, before i launch the Zen out of the window!!!

2. Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2
3. Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.9 for Creative MediaSource
Install . then connect the player to the PC. Then install 2. and 3. (the player must be connected for 2. to verify you have a Creative product).

BT Home Hub Problem

Hi there,
I have a problem with my BT Home Hub phone.
It is ringing when there is an incoming call (so the lines ok) and when I answer it I can hear the person on the other end but there is a loud continuous bleeping sound in the background which makes the person pretty much impossible to hear.
Any ideas.

Welcome to the forum.
It could be a faulty handset, can you connect a different handset to the back of the Hub to see if the issue persists?
