But after the change, ipod will not turn on.. Only if it is connect to power it turn on, but appears always the apple logo, and then it turn off.. endless.. it's a loop.  what happens? My friend damaged the new battery? Help me please! (i'm sorry for my english but i'm italian.. hope i explained well the problem)

Take the iPod to someone with more experience with iPods/iPhones.
Apple will not help since you took it apart already

what do i need to do?

You need to replace your battery.
Your Full Charge Capacity (949) is incredibly low; the original capacity when the computer was new was about 5400.
Is your machine under warranty? If so, it certainly can't hurt to bring the machine to an Apple store and ask if the battery could be replaced at no cost to you. The batteries in the older MacBooks should hold on to 80% or more of their original capacity for about 300 cycles, and yours is only a bit over 300.
If you can't get a free replacement, you'll have to pay for a new battery to stop the sudden shutdowns.

I've had my ipod nano for...I'm guessing a little less than half a year. I listen to my ipod every day, all the time. My battery lasts about an average of like, maybe...only 3 hours. And it should last A LOT more than that. Sooo, what can I do???

  • Solved my iPhone 5 Battery Problems: Maybe it can help you!

Hi every one, I saw many topics regarding battery problems with the iPhone 5. I responded to one discussion describing what I did to solve the iPhone 5 battery dying fast on me. So I thought I'd make a discussion here to help out other users with the same problem.
I would have 25-30% drop with in the hour and all I did was text a couple of my friends. I was using an iPhone 4 for the longest time, and on that phone I was able to watch videos, listen to music and use all the other features of the phone. The battery still lasted me the whole day, I was getting  worried that I wouldn't be able to use the iPhone 5 the same with out it dying on me fast.
My friend suggested draining the battery and then charging the phone to see if any improvements were seen. I did that and I saw a small change in the battery strength. I drained the battery two more times, and that is when I saw a huge difference.
I use my Phone as my iPod when I work out, and I run continuous music on it for 1.5-2 hours straight, along with sending texts to my friends. In this duration I would only use 15-20% which was a huge improvement from before. I would say that the battery life was on par with my iPhone 4 battery! It is such a relief, now I can use my iPhone 5 to it's fullest potential without having to worry it'll die on me fast.
I recommend other iPhone 5 users try draining their batteries a couple of times before charging as well if they are experiencing problems.
    Hope this helps!
    Dylan

I would let the battery completely die before I would charge it again. I would keep 3g off and only turn it on if I'm going to use it and turn it off again. Because the phone uses more power for the 3g/4g that the battery dies even faster.
I text a lot to friends so I'm constantly texting through out the day and when I work out continously run music on it for close to 2hours. It would only drain 15-20% of the battery, which really is a huge improvement.
I also use Siri quite often through wifi and it barely uses any battery power. Try letting the phone die until it turns off a couple of times before you charge it. That is what I did before a friend requested doing that after I was getting fraustrated with the battery power.

Jeff Bryan is right… absolutly right… But, let me give you my experience… I had, and I wrote this post two days ago, a big Battery problem… I repeat : When I inadvertendly updated my iPod Mini first generation into the new one (1.4, then 1.4.1 in order to correct the bug), my iPod started to bug… The bug was : after 30 minutes, or 1 seconds (as soons as I turned it on), or 10 minutes, — in few words it depended on the iPod —, it cuts violently off… Imagine my head hearing a sudden cut-off whereas you were listening a The Ruts "Jah war", or the Fall "New face in ****" (that were my face which was in ****, in fact), or a Joy Division's "The Kill", or a Clap your Hand say Yeah… I don't know… Imagine my face… Well I posted plenty of posts in French Mac discussions, then in Apple Discussions, in order to find solutions… I received great advices from for instance Jeff Bryan, and of course french iPod users… But nobody understood why the update software was the origin of the battery problem… I called Apple France, they answered to me that there was not a Battery problem (they were right because before updating, the iPod used to run for 7 hours)… They adviced me to reset, reset, untill it corrects the bug… That I did… But, in fact, I wrongly reseted… and I was able to correct it… yesterday, I was pretty upset seeing all around me with their Nano, their Video, or their Photo, OR their MINI∞ whatever… I reseted one more time and suddenly, a page with all languages (the famous first page you have when you just formated it), which meant that I correctly reseted… I was very ashamed because, till yesterday I wrongly reseted it… Now… after a little bug, it works… I succeeded to get over the third (because after updating it into the 1.4, 1.4.1, it cut off after a third iPod listenning… and even though I went back with the 1.1, then the 1.3, it cut off after a third iPod listenning… What a stress !!)… So if you are sure that this is not a Battery problem, I mean if before this problem you usually had no problem battery, I advice you to reset it carefully…
I would like to thank Jeff Bryan for his great advices…

hi.. i have a 30Gb Ipod (5G)... and i don't know, but i think that since i update my firmware to the latest version the battery is lasting less and less.. i had read in some forums that the firmware uptade can causes this; is this true?? or is a battery problem??..
if it's a firmware problem, how can i set the iPod to the oldest firmware version?
    thx for the help...:D:D:D

It's very difficult now to revert to older firmware because the updater is now integrated to iTunes.

  • !!HELP!! Iphone4 battery problem, water damaged.

My phone is showing (for example) 27% battery, then turning off, then turning its self back on, then showing 2%,then turning off, then showing 56%,then staying on for a few hours and not going down at all no matter how much it is used.when charging the percent does not increase even after 6 hours on charge then will start going up and down when it turns itself off/on. The phone was dropped in water but was left to dry out and was fine initially. It also says "no sim" sometimes. Is this a battery problem or a problem with the actual phone? everything else on the phone works great, no lcd damage, no mic/speaker/camera problems. It is very strange. Any ideas? Also, the apple service charge of £126, does this cover more than one problem? As the glass on my screen is also smashed, would this be £252 to get both issues fixed?
Thank you for any info you may have,
    Alan.

The Out of Warranty fee is not to "fix" issues, it is for a replacement device.

  • IS IT A BATTERY PROBLEM??! PLEASE HELP!

I bought my new ipod mini in 2004 November. Since a few months ago my ipod started not 'working' properly! I switch my ipod on to listen to a few songs... after about two songs, it says NO BATTERY PLEASE CONNECT YOUR iPOD..BLA BLA. I've charged it and did everything i could but i just don't know the problem! Has my battery run out for good? My dad reckons a need a new battery!

    Good question
    But :
    1. Do you usually use the backlights, and all of stuff which seem ruin the battery ?
    2. Do you charge it every time you're reaching the middle of your battery capacity (or range)… ? The first generation runs actually for 4 or 5 hours before it needs recharging whereas it was announced 8 hours… But, all of us knows that Battery Li-Ion capacity depends on how we use it…
    3. Are you a hard-user ?
    4. The best advice is to reset it in order it to loose its memory (I mean the bad informations it has saved), full-charge it, and then press play and let it uncharge until it shut off itself… If you have around 4 ou 5 hours (or more), you don't have any battery problem… But if you problem persists, you also need a change battery (if you are under warranty, it will be free… but if you're not… it will cost about 50 $… i don't know about the price in America and Great Britain…)
But before calling Apple, try doing the test…

  • IPhone 4 iOS 7.0.4 battery problem. Help please.

Hello everyone, my iPhone 4 got that very big problem, the battery is very weak, in 5 minutes of messaging with slow internet so no 3G it takes me more than 3%.
The battery dont last very much, i have to charge it twice a day. The illumination is set to low and I disabled all those things that could consumee battery.
My friends are saying that is a ios 7 problem. Is it right? Or it could be a battery problem? iOS 7.1 will fix this? When it will come out? Answer me pls.

That could be the reason if you have a weak cellular data signal.

  • Iphone 4s battery problems PLEASE HELP

I got my 4s about a week ago. The first couple of days i noticed the battery would go down pretty quick. So i looked online and seen all these different ways to save battery life by switching the settings around. I did all of the recommended changes ( location, brightness, etc.) i had already charged the phone the same way i would charge any phone before i read the full discharge full recharge. I did that two nights in a row and since then i let it get to atleast 2% before i charge it. Last night i put it on the charger around 20% maybe a little more and it definatley overcharged for an hour or two before i took it off. When i go to work i leave it in my locker and go on it during breaks. Normally it would never change the % while on standby and it would go down 1 maybe 2% while i use it. Today by the time it was lunch break it was down to 80%. As i type this my battery is at 64% with 2 hours and 31 minutes usage and 16 hours, 5 minutes of standby.
What happened to it? It bothers me so much cause i love the phone and it was doing good until today.
I JUST NOTICED that there is a new software update iOS 5.1.1. Could this sudden battery problem have occured because i am running older software??!!

You've probabaly just installed and left running more applications. Applications dont entirely close when you hit the home screen. You've probabaly notice when you turn on your phone you have to wait through the loading screen for many applications. After that they sit on the memory of the phone, and the phone uses some battery retaining the state of each application. In Stand-By and still when powered down, your battery will slowly drain (less so when powered down).
You may want to start force closing apps or occasionally powering down your iPhone. Additionally, the battery is not a NiCad battery where you can't charge it when it's at 80% or you'll risk causing the "battery memory" to max at 80%. The iPhone batteries are fine to be charged when they're at 95%. That said, Apple does recommend dispersing the battery to 0% atleast once a month. These batteries do have a battery charge cycle, ie: after so many charges the drain will begin to occur, but it's alot better than say your R/C car battery, or your typical rechargable triple 'A' battery.
On another note, I do recommend you run the latest updates, if there ever is a battery issue and they know about it, they'll try to address the issue.
