Help...been told something and I don't know if its true.

Just before I got my Nano, my Dad told me that your Nano will only work on one pc - so if you change pc/laptop, your nano will no longer work.
Surely this cant be the case as if you got a new laptop you would need to buy another mp3 player and thats a ripoff!!
Please help...don't know whether to play with my new toy now or when my replacement laptop comes at the weekend!!

That is incorrect. To be precise, if you update your iPod automatically you can only update it in that mode from one library. If you are changing computers you can copy your library from one to another and sync your iPod over again. To use an iPod with multiple libraries or computers you can set your iPod to manual update. In this mode you can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library:

Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device. In that case use Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows system tray on your desktop or check this link: Safely Disconnect IPod

     I can, with 99.99% certainty, tell you that you are absolutely right in not wanting to download or install this "Helper," whatever it is (but we can be equally certain it would not "help" anything).
     I cannot comment as to Oglethorpe's recommendation of 'adwaremedic'; I am unfamiliar with it. His links to the Apple discussion and support pages warrant your time and attention.
     It might be really simple -- Trying looking in your Downloads folder, trash anything that you don't know with certainty is something you want to keep, and then Secure Empty your Trash. Then remove the AdBlock extension, LastPass, and Web of Trust extensions to Safari and re-boot. If the issue goes away, still be extraordinarily careful in the future.
     Unfortunately, it's probably not going to be that simple to get rid of, in which case I'd then try the line by line editing in HT203987.
     I have no further suggestions (other than a complete wipe and re-install...but that's a pain because trying to restore from Time Machine would simply ... restore the Mal).
   For the rest of us, please post when you find a solution.

My location bar has been messed with and i don't know how to reverse it

I let my cousin use my computer, and she was playing on her IMVU game. She managed to install the IMVU Toolbar Addon, which i promptly deleted once she had left, however my location bar is now IMvU Themed, and i can't get rid of it.
Whenever I type anything in location bar, rather than going to the web adress, it searches it on an IMVU search engine, powered by google.
I've gone through all of the preference tabs, the tool tabs, and i don't know what i can do to get rid of it.

Creative Cloud is trying to download something and I don't know what it is

This is a strange problem. When I leave creative cloud open it seems to be trying to download and install something. I think I had a font installation error a while back. It causes other apps to have problems and then when I got to shut down my mac I get a download in progress do you wish to abort or continue? I know it's creative cloud because it only happens when I have it open. Any suggestions on trying to find out what it is trying to download or sync and how to stop it? I am using a macbook pro, yosemite 10.0.3

Mail has been tampered with and I don't know where to look

I have a client who is going through a divorce and her soon to be ex-husband has tampered with her email on her Apple computer. She is running 10.5.2 and using the standard mail client. She noticed when she opens an email the email is forwarded automatically. No rules have been setup. There are no traces of the mail in the outbox or the sent messages folder yet she recieved some bounce messages saying emails weren't accepted due to virus/spam blocks. Where can I look to stop this forwarding action or what software would do this ? What logs can I look at ?

I see two possibilities here:
1. The situation is incidental. Do the messages she's getting the supposed bounce notifications for match ones she's actually received? The reason I put this first is that it wouldn't make sense to forward email to an address that's going to bounce, if the point is to spy on the emails. That would bring such activity to someone's attention immediately. If it doesn't seem to be happening to all messages, its likely this is actually the result of a spamming or phishing operation of some sort. Spammer spoof known valid email addresses, and thus you get bounces for messages you've never sent. A phishing tactic to harvest email accounts to use for spam has you get a supposed bounce notification, then you are offered a link to log in. The link of course does not lead to the actual mail site, and you provide your credentials to access the account which are then stolen.
2. If the mail is being forwarded, it has been set up at the provider end, and not at the local computer. Most webmail providers now offer forwarding service, especially Gmail. If one were to have access to the account credentials, or even just one time were able to access the account from the person's computer, they could set up the forwarding with the email provider. Nothing would be required on the target's computer, and nothing there would be changed.

Losing memory and I don't know where its going.....

So I'm on my tx-1274dx and I cant seem to find out where my memory is going. I've done disk defragments, disk clean ups, cleared my trash bin, deleted files, restarted, shut down and rebooted, and nothing seems to work. Am I the only one with this problem? Anyone else experienced this problem? Please help >.< I'm at wits ends trying to find out where and how the memory keeps disappearing if this keeps up I'm going to be forced to reboot the whole system to recover memory. Please help me!

I can't select it .. I click on it and nothing happens. The only thing I seem to be able to do is a two fingered click which brings up a context menu for the side bar preferences..but unfortunately this icon does not appear in the list.

Broadband usage has doubled and I don't know why

Just received a warning message that I am about to exceed my 40gb limit. Normal monthly usage has been 18gb apparently and we don't know why the increase has occurred. We have no kids at home, we don't stream films or videos or play games, I've downloaded 1 music album this month and we've surfed the net as usual.
Can this usage be verified?
Any tips on checking whther someone else is using our broadband....is this possible?
Any tips on why this might be happening...it's puzzling.
Is there an indpependent (non BT) way of monitoring and measuring broadband usage?

In my experience the only way to sort this out is to hope that your post draws the attention of a forum moderator. Anyone on the phones will try and convince you that you are indeed downloading 20 albums a day, uploading 3000 pictures a week etc etc and "it all mounts up" and you would be far better on an Unlimited Package.
I had problems (in fact thinking about it, this time last year) where my usage had crept up and according to BT my son and I were using 90gb a month, despite no streaming, gaming etc. I am on a 40gb package like yourself so was incurring £50 charges each month. In the end it was resolved with BT agreeing it wasn't possible for us to be getting through that amount but as I wasn't using a BT router at the time it was impossible to prove that someone hadn't been piggybacking my wifi. (I'd changed passwords during the high readings to no avail anyway).
My personal advice would be to keep a daily eye on your broadband monitor, screenshot them if need be, if you have been out during the day or away for any great length of time also note the readings that appear for that day. I also check my BT homehub to make sure only the devices in my house are hooked in just in case.
As it happens I've also noticed a big jump in my readings this month, I have just a few GB to spare but in my opinion the readings are still high compared to what I was noting at the tail end of last year after I finally had SeanD look into the matter for me.
I do hope that the meters arent going up the creek yet again because I've sworn that if it should happen again I'm walking to a different company this time around.

"Your email account" means to tap on the name of your email account. Whatever it is listed as in the settings.
In my mail settings, one of my email accounts is a Comcast account. I tap on the Comcast name and it brings up this window.
Then I tap on the arrow under the Outgoing mail server smtp setting to get to the next window.
In the resulting window, I then tap on the arrow next to the smtp server under the Primary Server setting.
That brings up this window in which I check to make sure that my user name and password have been entered correctly. If those items are missing, enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap done.

it is possible that zoom maybe enabled i think double taping with three fingers should disable it.
or you can go into settings>general> assessability> zoom and turn it off.
