HELP! Blackberry Curve has frozen on me, wont let me do anything!

I called Vodafone they said it needed updating, i updated it by connecting it to my laptop. That didnt work! I now have a phone that flashes telling me theres a message but has a frozen screen. I have tried taking the battery out, it didnt help at all.

Before taking it in, see if you have any luck reloading the OS.  If BlackBerry Desktop Software will allow the process with your phone in its current state, it'll save you a trip to the store and the trouble of getting a replacement.
To do this, plug your phone in to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  The first thing you'll want to do is a data backup.  Click Device at the top of the software then click Backup.  Once the backup has completed, click Device at the top then click Restore.  Choose the most recent restore point and load it.
If this does the trick, I saved you some aggravation and you're welcome.  If it doesn't, I guess that trip to the Vodafone store is inevitable.  If at all possible, try to do a data backup either way so you don't lose anything if you get another phone.

    If you go to the Apple equivalent of: Appdata\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates (sorry am a mere PC user )
    If there is a file titled iphone1,22.1_5F136Restore then try deleting it and then running iTunes without your iPhone attached.
    Go to the menu and select Help/Software Updates which should then notify you that there are updates and allow you to download them in advance of restoring.
    Hopefully this will download the update. Once completed attach the iPhone and restore.

    Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

    If it says your billing info is wrong that means that your credit card issuer is refusing to approve your account. You will have to solve the problem with your bank or credit card company.

    I had gotten a gift card with around $20 on it so I decided to buy some songs. I had bought a few, then I bought the last song, and now iTunes wont allow me to update my apps, or let me download any other apps because apparently I have $0 on my card; The weird part about that is it let me keep the song, but wont let me get anything else regardless of the charge. I don't have a credit card myself, so I'm really trying to avoid buying another gift card for one 99 cent song. Does anyone know how to get rid of a song from the billing receipt?     I think that you mean that you are getting a message to contact iTunes Store Support. There must be some issue with your account that only iTunes support can solve for you.
    Go here and click on the iTunes Store Support link on the right side and then in the next window, click on Purchases, Billing and Redemption, then click on Unable to Purchase from the iTunes Store, then click on email in the next window. Send an email and tell them what you are experiencing.

  • Aperture wont let me do anything!

    So I am working in aperture going about my merry way after having just imported a batch of new images for the first time in a while, and then it just stops letting me import photos. So I quit out and try to go back in. Now it appears to completely hang and never opens my library. But it actually does launch but doesn’t freeze, it just wont do ANYTHING. Every single menu is grayed out.
    So I remove the prefs file per some posts I saw and still nothing. So I thought maybe my libarary is boogered up, moved and renamed my library and fired it up. It creates a brand new library in my original location and STILL nothing. It just sits there and you cant do anything. It doesn’t show any window, and it wont let you do anything.
    So I tried to rebuild my library and that didn’t work. I am starting to run out of ideas. I obviously have rebooted several times in there.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?!
    My library still seems to be in tact and nice and fat.

    the .plist files screwing things up. I wonder which
    one. Anyway, glad it worked.

    My blackberry curve 8520 got wet 2 days ago and was fine for ages...
    Then it completly froze so i took the battery out and now it wont turn on!!
    There is no red light, no white screen, nothing
    I have taken the batt out, left for a min put it back in but nothing. I tried taking it out for longer but still nothing.
    I have left it on charge for ages but that dodnt work either.
    Nothing happens, it just wont turn on.
    Is it completly ruined or is there a solution??
    It was working fine for hours after it got wet so little bit confused as to whether that caused damage or not.

    I've often seen it recfommend to place in a bag of rice so that the moisture gets soaked up.
