HELP! BLUETOOTH TROUBLE!

I bought a bluetooth headset because I heard it would make a doog microphone for my mac mini and after I paired it it worked fine and now all of a sudden it's not working anymore. I tried pairing it again and the pairing was successful but when I selected the device in my bluetooth preferences and looked it it's status it said
Paired: Yes
Configured: Yes
Favorite: Yes
Connected: No
But right now I have my bluetooth headset on and I followed all the instructions on how to use it and when I tried using it as a microphone it didn't work. HELP!

Jrtechn-
Wow, good thing it didn't take me forever to get back to you.
New BlueTooth headset. Headset doesn't work.
Me, I'd take the headset back and get one that worked with my Mac. Of course, that wold take time out of your busy schedule.

  • Help help bluetooth headset need developer

    Hello everybody,
I haven't any knowledge in to developing and i am here to find a developer who can help me or develop something for me,
i'm actually using a bluetooth headset (jabra) with my macbook (10.5.2) .
the headset profile works perfect , i can choose in my sound preference panel the headset as input or output, but the thing is that i don't care about the audio part what i am looking for is to use the headset buttons ( volume up/down, on/off) but the headset doesn't have any HID profile...
So what i need is a special driver or little software that keystroke for each buttons or send HID values as a gamepad or mouse do , then it will be easy for me to get the values in the sofware i use (max/msp)..
If i look in the preferences panel/sound with the headset coreaudio choosed i can see the volume bar moving when i use the volume buttons of the headset, maybe its possible to do it with applescript too? ( i will post that message in the Applescript's section too).
    If anyone can help ..
    million of thanks

Ok, there's some strange things happening with bluetooth these days it seems. I had a lot of trouble setting up a connection to my phone, even after following avery bit of advice I found on the net.
But somehow I found a way, and now it works. I had to do some things not documented anywhere, excepte from some obscure places from 2003 etc.
The most significant problem I encountered was that my phone would never find my computer, even though I set pscan and iscan enabled.
Here's a line of code I found that fixed the problem for me. It could work for you too, since your problem looks exactly like the things I saw when the phone couldn't see my computer.
    dbus-send --system --dest=org.bluez /org/bluez/hci0
    org.bluez.Adapter.SetMode string:discoverable
I write this after the bluetooth system has started.
    Hope it helps

    Hi dominicevans123!
    Welcome to Sony Community!
Sorry to hear the issue. Were there any changes on the laptop before the issue started? Let's isolate the issue. Kindly follow the troubleshooting guidelines here:
Power cycle - Shutdown the laptop and remove all peripherals -> look for battery off button on the bottom of the laptop -> press and hold the button for 5 seconds. (You can use a safety pin)
    Reset BIOS
Re-install Bluetooth driver in Device Manager. -> Start -> Device Manager -> Look for Bluetooth (sometimes under Network Adapters) -> Right click and choose Uninstall (DO NOT DELETE) -> Restart the unit -> Driver/s will be re-installed.
Uninstall Bluetooth Driver -> go to eSupport and download the driver -> You may also download the updates
Run Windows update and Vaio update
Set Bluetooth to Automatic in Services - Start -> Run -> Type "services.msc" -> Right click all Bluetooth -> Properties -> on Startup type, select Automatic -> Apply, then OK. -> Restart the laptop
    Hope these help.
    Best regards,
    Vincent

  • Bluetooth troubles.

My Macbook Pro bluetooth has been erratic for a while, needing frequent reconnection with wireless mouse and keyboard (both peripherals are Mac), and now mouse has lost most functionality (no gesture response). Have tried several Apple mice, none working properly. Any thoughts?

For the information of others who may have this problem:
I took my Macbook Pro in to an authorized Apple service provider, after failing to solve the issue by resetting PRAM and SMC, and seeking telephone help from Apple (I don't live anywhere close to an Apple store, so that wasn't an option).
In this case, the fix seemed to be checking the connections for the bluetooth card inside the laptop, which must have come loose and were causing intermittent function (and finally, failure) of bluetooth. This requires opening the back of the laptop, then disconnecting and re-connecting the 4 snap-on contacts. I'm thinking this isn't something you want to try at home, unless "home" is at the genius bar. The tech told me that if this mechanical fix did not work, the next thing to check would be the bluetooth antenna, which is a more involved process as it's integrated with the display, apparently. Fortunately, it didn't come to that.
So far, bluetooth is still working fine after a week – however, I wouldn't call the whole system totally reliable, as my keyboard and mouse still lose their bluetooth connection fairly frequently. At least now I can usually reset them with a couple of mouse clicks or taps on the space bar.
Hope this helps someone else avoid the frustrations I've been through lately!
    Cheers, Silk Q

  • Bluetooth trouble with Mac Pro

    Hi
I have recently bought a D-Link DBT-120 Bluetooth Adapter for my Mac Pro and i am losing connection with my devices on waking the Mac Pro from sleep, both my Logitech Bluetooth Mouse and a Jabra headset. Typically I need to disconnect and reconnect the adapter before they will work again. Does anyone know what i can do to get this working properly. I get the same issues whether i plug the adapter into the front of the Mac Pro or the back of my Cinema Display which is ideally where i would like to connect it.
    thanks

  • Can anyone help - battery trouble!

Hey I was wondering if anyone can help me. My ipod is 2 years old now and even from the start the battery life has never been that good. having recently having to reset the whole thing i have had even more trouble with the batter life. I plug it into the wall then it says it is fully charged after a couple of minutes (it used to take hours before) and then now after charging in such a short time says the battery is full and im getting enough power for only three songs. can i reset the battery or do something else to help!?

    See these.
    Beef up my iPod battery.
How to accurately determine your iPod battery life.
Can I make the meter more accurate?
Might be time for battery replacement though. Google "iPod batteries" for cheaper options than Apple.

  • [Help] Bluetooth

    Hi there
I tried the last few hours to make a pair out of my pc and my mobile via bluetooth. I installed bluez-libs and utils and did hcitool scan. my mobile was found, so i tried hcitool cc address, but nothing happened. I also tried to make a PIN entry field pop up, as shown in many how-tos across the net, but none helped. Can anyone help me setting up bluetooth? here is my hcid.conf

configuring obexftp confused me.  I gave up after about 10 minutes of messing with it, but at least i got my devices to show up (I needed an hciconfig hci0 down && hciconfig hci0 up) and all that jazz...
Bluetooth is a bit confusing still.  The dependency on dbus even more so.
obexftp is not that confusing so far. actually you got nearly nothing to configure. The only thing is to type obexftp -b -l and your directories are listed. then download them via obexftp -g
but a gui would be nice anyway. looking at the obex page right now...

  • HELP - bluetooth to printer from laptop...

    I have a Powerbook G4, running MAC OS X 10.4.3.
I also have a Epson Stylus photo printer R300.
I want to print wirelessly, using bluetooth.
I bought a Kensington Bluetooth USB adaptor 2.0 at Best Buy, being told it would work with apple. Instructions/cd are for pc, for apple they say to go to apple support (not helpful). I plugged into printer, added it to Bluetooth devices on laptop successfully (yet when I go back, it doesn't list my printer in devices), then when I try to print it says failed, can't connect. THe USB in printer blinks though...
SO... do I have to buy the D link everyone talks about (at apple store or can I get a best buy) or something specifically made for apple? Epson printer only recommends its own bluetooth device. Is there something I am missing here? Does the printer have to be configured too?
    Any help, details, appreciated!!
    thanks, Kathy

From what I've gathered so far, just having the bluetooth devices enabled is not good enough. Your print drivers must be able to see and send via the bluetooth "port".
"Apparently", Epson drivers on OSX are not able to do this, at least as far as I can see. I am trying to build a BT print network between a PB AiG4, a G5 (both of which have BT built in) and two printers - an Epson SP 4000 and an Epson SP R1800. I'm not going to invest any money in adapters for the printers until I can prove that the drivers will work with this setup. There are several BT printer adapters on the market which should do the job if the drivers will support the protocol - Belkin, BLuetake, D-link, IOMega.

  • Bluetooth trouble

Hi: I just bought a Magic Mouse. When attempted to install it, it didn't work. I have installed the wireless update and have Snow Leopard 10.6.2. Besides, once this happened, my bluetooth stopped working: It is on and it recognizes devices, but they do not connect to the computer. What can I do?
    Thanks

i have a similar problem pairing a Curve 9300 with a Ford Connect Van - is there anyone from RIM that can help? IS there a list of cars that will pair and is there any software or patch that can be downloaded to help pair the phone?

  • PLEASE HELP! Trouble importing media used in Premiere CS6 into CC

After infinitely trouble with stability in OSX Premiere CS6, I´ve tried to open my project in CC. I get a dialogue box when importing media with heading "Cannot Link Media" and saying "The selcted file cannot be linked because it has 2 audio channel(s) and the clip was created with 1 audio channel(s). Now, these clips had no issues in CS6, but after installing CC, I cannot open anything in CS6 and CC won´t, as stated, accept my clips. Now, I tried to uninstall CS6 to late reinstall it. But Adobe seems to have removed the installer, anyway I can´t find it. SERIOUSLY!. This is EXTREMELY frustrating. PLEASE HELP!

I don't have any sure-fire solutions, but I do have a suggestion: rather than opening the whole CS6 project and going through the whole conversion process, try importing just the sequence(s) from the CS6 project into a new CC project. There are a couple of ways to do so: 1) File>Import, select "Import Selected Sequences," then pick the desired ones, or 2) drill down to the project in Media Browser, which will show you it's contents, then drag and drop the sequence(s) into the Project panel.
I found a few bug reports in the same neighborhood. They were all fixed in the release you're using. But each was specific to a particular file type, so you may have hit on a case that we didn't exercise. It could really help us nail this down if you provided one small clip that CC is balking at and, ideally, a CS6 project containing that clip.

  • HELP - BLUETOOTH FILE TRANSFER FROM PC TO MACBOOK NOT WORKING....

    Hi,
My Macbook is paired to my PC and both PC and Macbook can see each other...
The Macbook can also see files in my PC and can directly "Get file"
I can even "Send file" to my PC from the Macbook
I can even do other tasks like deleting files from my PC etc from my Macbook...
But When I try to send a file from my PC to my Macbook the transfer never works - The PC says: "Could not connect to the remote device"
    Help plz...

On your dock or in applications in finder is an application called system preferences. Open it. Then click bluetooth. Go under sharing and set your bluetooth sharing options.
Then under the system preferences there is another item called sharing. Check your firewall settings there.

  • Bluetooth trouble on MacBook, Blackberry involved too

This is a complete mystery to me...my bluetooth application is no longer fun ctioning. Network port configurations do not recognise the bluetooth hardware. I checked the Apple hardware menu and could not find my bluetooth hardware. I don't remember doing anything to remove or disable whatever bluetooth hardware was in operation. I had been having problems with the bluetooth function ever since I bought a Blackberry but I was able to send pictures from the Blackberry to the MacBook but not vice versa. The only thing I can think I have done recently is activate the fax function. Can anyone help?

yes, I did download those software updates...any suggestions about how to sort it out? I was having enough problems using my Blackberry with the MacBook - I bluetoothed my address book from the BB to the MacBook and I've managed to bluetooth pix taken on the BB to the MacBook but MacBook can't bluetooth anything to the BB.
