Help! Broken bezel or front moniter plate

I tripped over my **** dial up internet cord and brought my ibook crashing to the ground, the front panel on the screen is broke i'm not sure what its called but its like warped, the LCD itself is perfectly fine (THANK GOD) but i'm not sure what to do, it looks like it should just pop back into place but for some reason it doesn't. Can anyone help me with this?

Well, this is about as good as I could get it. I "upsized" by 400%, then used smart sharpen and part of a technique used by retouchers - frequency separation.
Dot not quote me, but it could be 65FZ51E.

ISkin Claro Case: Front Face Plate Slides On Loose?

I just got the iSkin Claro for iPod Classic.
I put the iPod in the silicone case and then put it in the hard plastic case. When I slide the front face plate onto the case to seal everything up, it doesn't lock into place. Is that normal?
I've also noticed that part of the front face plate that actually slides under the lip of the main part of the case seems to be filed down in a couple of areas.
Should I bring it back to the Apple store and exchange it for a face plate that locks into place more securely?

I can report that iSkin's "Evo4 Duo" model is very tight.
I should add that I had to select between 80gb & 160gb models, when ordering it. Are you sure that your case is correctly sized to your iPod?

Help Window stays in front

Allways the window of Mac-Help stays strong in front at Leopard, but I would like to chance to other windows too, without closing Help-window or dragging it out of screen.
How that to manage?

New behavior in Leopard. Apple thinks, since the help viewer connects to its servers to update knowledge base articles, that you should quit it before continuing. If you want this behavior changed, submit a bug report or enhancement request (ER) to Apple via its Bug Reporter system. Join the Apple Developer Connection (ADC)—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report/enhancement request. You'll get a get a Bug (ER) ID number; thus, starting a dialog directly with engineering.

Need help clearing up an image of a front license plate from a break in at my office

I had a break in at my office and got a video of the car and front plate. Unfortunately Dropcam's quality is not great so the image is a little blurry. I'm hoping someone on this forum can help me clear it up. I've tried various filters in Photoshop but can't make it out. Please help! We've been broken into twice and this guy just came back for a third time. If you want the video PM me.

Broken Rear Cover + Front Bezel

My Hp Pavillion dv9700 fell and broke Rear Cover and Front Bezel, the right hinge is also not closing and opening well as a result it caused the Front Bezel to break even worse. Every other things are working just fine even the screen is ok. The problem is: its warranty has expired and so I can not return it back to where I bought it. Im in South Africa, if theres a way to get these parts please e-mail me to [email protected] I've tried to make an order of these parts but all the companies I checked from don't ship to South Africa.

I'd also like to thank you for such a fast response! I do have a copy of the manual in my grubby little hands and I did read it. That's how I was able to identify the motherboard pinouts in my first post. I guess that one slipped by you . The link you provided is great, it'll come in handy if I ever misplace the manual down the road.
My problem stems from the way the case manufacturer labelled the wires for the front audio connector e.g. using a naming convention that differs from that of the Intel Front Panel I/O Connectivity specification. Specifically the Mic-VCC, Line-L and Line-R wires.
Stated simply, I was hoping one of the experts here might be able to tell me/confirm if Mic-VCC should be connected to pin 3 - AUD_MIC_BIAS or to pin 4 - AUD_VCC, and if Line-R should be connected to pin 6 and Line-L to pin 10 on the motherboard.

Need Help: BBZ10 Stuck on Usb Moniter Screen Unable to Boot / Start

I recently purchased a Balckberry Z10, while trying to transfer my data from my existing blackberry I accidently reset my device to factory setting. now it is stuck on the usb moniter screen.
I have tried reloading the phone using Link but it keeps on showing me a message: Unable to reload due to error: No Update Available.
I am using a Mac.

This issue is a general issue and it is not from your system and configuration.
Microsoft is working on this issue and try to find a solution as quickly as possible.
One way to solve temporarily, in some cases, you can follow the steps below:
Go to Central Administration URL and replace "default.apx" by“_admin/privacy.aspx”.
Scroll down to “Display Help from external Web Sites as specified by each Help collection” and click “No”.
This will allow to use local SharePoint help, not online help until Microsoft fix this issue.

Help, Broken Power Button- Can't turn on laptop

Hi,
I have an iBook G4 that does not turn on. The power button is unresponsive and doesn't do anything when pressed.
I'm hoping there's a key combination I can press to boot it up? (one that doesn't involve pressing the power button)
It's a school issued computer so I can't open it up, and since it's summer break I can't take it to our tech office.
Any help would be appreciated.

The Power Key is about it, for starting up an iBook.
There may be something else wrong with the computer
which an expert or genius may be able to perform a
basic troubleshooting effort to find what that may be.
Troubleshooting portables that won't turn on or start up:

Some processes to troubleshoot and try to get it to work
may involve several different things; including seeing if
the computer could work with the power adapter only,
with the battery removed. Or see if the power adapter
may be needed to start the computer. Narrowing down
the possible sources of problems, to include inspection
to see if the power button is broken, would be needed.
If the battery is fully charged, and this implies the cell
is good and not been used up, perhaps simply resetting
the Power Management Unit (PMU) may help.
Without seeing the computer, some things are more
trial and error than others. If an Apple Store is within
reasonable distance, a call ahead to see if they have
an available genius or other person at a specific time
who can look over your computer; this may be helpful.
I suspect the issue may not be the Power Key; but
if that is the case, it would require a repair. And if
that happened to be the situation, someone at the
school would have to authorize it (unless you were
to be generous and send it off to someone capable
such as wegenermedia.com for a quality repair.)
Actually, if it's the Power key, a technician would have
to take the computer apart down to the logic board...
& a tech could decide how or what to do about it. In
some cases, certain repairs may be costly.

I need help.. My front and back camera suddenly stop working.

Few days ago, my front and back cmaera stop working. I tried all the possible options but still having the same problems.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
* No data is lost due to a reset

My Aunt gave me her fairly unused apple ibook 14-inch G4 laptop. And the only problem with it is that the TAB key has broken off and i cant click it back in. If you have any ideas on how either I could possible repair it at my house, or where i can get a single key to buy online or at a store that would be great. Please help!!

go on ebay heaps of people sell them for like 10 cents and shipping is only like 2$ that's $2.10 cheap or yuo can just use other ear phones but ipod ones are cooler but you can also just buy one from you're friend?.

Broken Iphone 4s front screen (UK)

Hi,
My Iphone 4s front screen cracked after it fell off from my sofa today. The screen still works and is responsive but I am shocked at the slip from a short height caused this damage as I heard they are supposed to be quite strong. My Apple Warranty finished a while back and as I am a student I cannot afford to spend alot of money again. I wish to get the screen repaired from apple and not from other sources. My nearest Apple retail shop is about 40 miles away so I am hoping someone can help me before I make the journey via train.
(B.T.W. I am in the UK if that makes any difference if any at all).
