Help Burning my Itunes library to CDs

Is there a way to go around itunes and burn all my music to CDs? I have an mp3 CD reader in my car and want to have my music on CDs. My iphone wont' work in my car. Anyway, I would like to burn the music with the song info onto a CD. I tried to burn a CD from a playlist before and it converted to wav files and filled up the CD.
Any other programs out there that allow you to export from itunes?

When you burn you playlist to cd select MP3 instead of Audio CD.

Make a playlist of the items you want to burn, put a blank cd in the drive and burn the playlist to it.

    Hi sooz180,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand you can see all of your purchased music on your iPhone but the library on your computer in iTunes is empty. If the music was purchased from iTunes you can get this music back to your iTunes Library two different ways. You can either transfer purchases from the iPhone to the iTunes Library, or you can just download the music again from the Purchased section of iTunes. I will post the information on both ways to recover your purchased music below.

  • Help please Lost iTunes library from my MacBook Including both itunes purchased songs and uploaded from CDs. everything is still on my iPad is there a way to transfers it please.

there is a list of the songs on my MacBook but the media files have disappeared, also from my back up.
Tried to down load from iTunes Match but no success.
    Any help much appreciated

iTunes won't transfer or download a track if there is an entry in the library for it, even if that entry is no longer attached to a file.

  • How do i burn my itunes library onto a cd so that it can be played in a car

I want to burn some of the songs within my itunes library onto a cd to give to my Aunt. I tried this once already and the songs would play on radio but only from one speaker. How do I burn my playlists onto cd and have it play correctly? (out of both speakers)

You can burn a cd for personal use, by making a playlist, then go to File>Burn Playlist
    Choose Audio Cd.
Distributing music to others is not legal.  You can burn cds for personal use.

  • Can I burn my iTunes library to DVD or back it up some other way?

Hi, I'm about to do a system upgrade, so I wanted to burn my I-tunes library to DVD for back-up.  I have over 600 songs, so using CDs would not be practical.  I also don't have an external storage device and all my other backed up stuff on DVD, so the I-tunes library would be the last thing I'd still need to back up.
If using a DVD isn't possible, is there a way to upload the songs into I-cloud perhaps?  I have an Ipad with I-cloud, but my old computer doesn't have it (2008 Imac, Leopard, using Itunes version 10.6).  It's about 3.6 GB worth of songs and one 50 min TV-show.

  • Help! Transfering iTunes library from Windows iTunes to iTunes on a new Mac

I am sure others have asked this -- I was not able to find it though:
I have a Windows machine on which my whole iTunes library sits (both ripped CD's and downloaded music and TV from iTunes).
I need to move that to my new Mac.
I read the article about using my iPod to do this, but it doesn't seem to work across Mac/Windows. The computers are on the same home LAN. My old machine doesn't have a DVD writer or CD writer, so I can't use that option.
So, is there an easy way to just transfer it over to my new machine?
Also, what do I need to do (and in what order) about de-authorizing my old computer?
The Apple help and online resources are shockingly unhelpful on this topic. Thanks for any instructions you can provide.
    Thank you!

After you mount the drive, I'd recommend copying the folder over to your Mac desktop. From there, set iTunes to Copy Files on Import (under preferences). Select File -> Add to Library then choose the whole music folder you copied to your desktop. iTunes will load all the songs into your iTunes library and copy them to the appropriate folder in your hard drive.
When that process is complete, you should be able to delete the folder from your desktop and all your songs will be in your iTunes library.
    Hope this helps!

  • Help fix my iTunes Library PUH-LEEZE!!

Hello all. I'm not sure where to post this, so I did so here. A while back I was messin' with what I think was the itunes library. I was trying to have my entire library accessible through all accounts on this computer, and through the other macs in the house. I had changed some settings through some helpful links in the forums. Here lies the problem: I don't remember where I found the links nor do I remember what changes I made. The problem is that itunes is not syncing properly with the other iLife Apps. Like iPhoto won't see certain playlists. A big problem is with Front Row....It doesn't pick up any of my itunes videos, and only see about 5 or like 10 playlists. Is there a simple fix for this? Please don't tell me I need to uninstall the whole iLife suite an reinstall it to fix it. Thanks in advance!

    Heya Ice,
Reinstalling iLife is actually only a 10 minute process. But in this case I don't think it should be necessary.
    Heya Ice,
Make sure that your iTunes folder is NOT in the /users/shared folder
It should be in the ~/music folder or on an external drive if you want.
    - Click on the iTunes folder
    - Go to File > Get info
    - Go down to the bottom of the info window and check ownership and permissions
-- Make sure that you name is the owner and that you have read and write permission
    - Unlock the little pad lock
    - Click on the button under details that says "Apply to Enclosed Items"
    - Close these windows
Remove the following files to the trash (do not empty until you test for function):
    ~/library/caches
    ~/library/preferences/com.apple.itunes.plist
    ~/library/preferences/com.apple.frontrow.plist
    - Repair your permissions - > http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=DiskUtility/10.5/en/duh17.html
    - Restart your computer again
    - Open iTunes and make sure you music works
    - Close itunes
    - Open Front row and test
    - Still doesn't work?
    - Create a new itunes library by dragging the old one to the desktop
    - Test with the new library - does it work?
    - If yes then re-import your music from the folder on the desktop to the new library
    Hope that helps!

  • Please Help. My iTunes Library Is Damaged? For The Second Time

    No one seems to help.
    ive posted this lots.

If your 'iTunes Library' file is damaged and you don't have a recent copy of it, I'm afraid you will have to rebuild your library.
You will loose all playlists, ratings, date added an podcast subscriptions.
Trash the 'iTunes Library' file in ./Users/YourUsername/Music/iTunes.
Open iTunes. You will have an empty library. Drag and drop the 'iTunes Music' folder on the empty library.
The 'iTunes Music' folder is default at ./Users/YourUsername/Music/iTunes.
If you stored your music at another location, drag and drop that folder.
    Hope this helps.

  • Help... iTunes Library file damaged

Since moving some files to defrag my hard disk, I now get the following error message when I run iTunes:
The file "iTunes Library .itl" does not appear to be a valid iTunes library file. iTunes has attempted to recover your iTunes library and renamed this file to "iTunes Library (Damaged) x .itl [where x is 1,2,3,etc]
This is happening every time I try to run iTunes so there are a series of the damaged files in iTunes folder and each time I run iTunes there is a new set of Audiobooks, Music, etc. playlists in iTunes.
    Can anyone help??
    Thanks
Dell Latitude D600   Windows XP Pro   iPod 20Gb

Earlier this month, my entire iTunes library disappeared from my Mac G5.
There were more than 50 songs I purchased on iTunes, plus more than 1,000 from my own CD collection as well as some original songs I wrote using GarageBand.
The songs were displayed on the iTunes rundown, but when I clicked to play, a prompt told me that it was unable to find the song.
Multiple searches were fruitless and the iTunes folder shows none of these songs to exist.
Much of these same songs are still on my iPod.
A few of the iTunes-purchased songs are also on my Mac G4 Powerbook.
The difference between the G5 and G4 is that I’ve not upgraded the latest iTunes version on the PowerBook…however in late March, I did upgrade on the G5.
No other new applications have been added to any of my computers since around the first of the year.
So I am asking you and everyone else (especially the Aplle people):
How can I recover those songs I bought from iTunes?
    Why did this happen?
Have other Mac users experienced this?
Is there a flaw in the new iTunes version?

  • Backing up iTunes library to CDs

I want to back up my library to CDs but there is no back up option on the iTunes menu File>library. (iTunes 10.4)

    HI Alan
I agree with you I found it a very useful part of iTunes and needless to say, im very disapointed that it has been removed.
Ever since I started unting iTunes, I have backed up onto DVD and havent had issues with it at all... I dont understand where the unreliability has come from?
Hopefully they will change their minds...... can always hope for clear skies I guess here in the UK....lol
