Help! Can't copy and paste.

Hi there,
I'm working on a project that is due very soon and all of a sudden I am unable to copy paste selections from any layers in my photoshop project! Nothing is locked. When I choose the eraser tool as well and go to edit a layer it doesn't allow me. Is there some subtle project setting I might have accidentally changed? I'm really a relative newbie to this app...

Make sure you're not in quickmask mode, and aren't in a modal dialog or modal tool state.

Has anyone else using a MacBook Pro wit Safari hot mail had a recent issue (s) like when trying to att. a file in an e mail and getting an error message stating"can't send 0 bytes? Or that you can't copy and paste with out getting a "hotmail can't...

Have a MacBook Pro. Been using hot mail/Safari. Suddenly can't copy and paste an e mail. Can't make an att> without getting an error message.."0 bytes empty" Got ahold of hot mail was told yes there is a problem between Mac and hot mail Safari and for $59.00 they can fix it. Forgot to ask if the same would apply if I were a pc user. Anbody shed some light on this? Anyone recomend a better em ail service other than g mail?

HELP! Is there anyone out there who knows how I can fix this????

Bridge CS6 Mac XMP File Info Panel Bug: can't copy and paste metadata

The cmd-keys / shortcuts doesn't work in the xmp file info panel btw. in the xmp / iptc fields (e.g. cmd+c, cmd+v, ...) of Adobe Bridge CS6 (Mac OS 10.6.8 and 10.7.3). You are not able to cut and paste info from one box to another like previous versions.
This bug only appears in the xmp file info window (opened via alt+i) in Bridge CS6 - if you edit information or metadata in the file info panel in Photoshop CS6 copy and paste from one field to another works.
The shortcuts also work under Windows (tested under Vista).
I noticed this minor bug already one in the Photoshop CS6 Beta more than one months ago. I hoped that this was corrected in the official test version, but unfortunately it is not. Although it is a minor bug, it is IMHO a basic function and would be very helpful in my daily work - it is too bad, that such a small thing is making working with the application a little bit annoying.

Thanks! If there is a workaround or simple solution, I would be very glad if you could inform me.

I can't copy and paste from Word to the Internet (Firefox or Chrome), but I can copy and paste from Internet to Word

I suddenly can't copy and paste text from Word to the internet (Firefox or Chrome, email or other websites), but I can do the reverse. Any ideas? Copy and paste works between Word docs, and it works between internet sites (e.g., web page to email), just not from Word to the internet. Please help. I need to copy and paste my resume for an online job application.

There are a range of different kinds of forms. For example, this site uses very simple controls that don't automatically convert Word's formatting to an online format. The site where you are trying to paste your resume probably works differently.
What methods have you tried using to paste? Typically one of these will work:
* Ctrl+v
* right-click > Paste
* Edit > Paste (from the menu)
Some sites offer their own buttons to paste, but for security/privacy reasons, Firefox usually disables those.

No. You would make changes to the address book on your PC and then sync via iTunes.

Can't copy and paste between latest firefox and word 2007

I just posted about this a few minutes ago but forgot to mention it happens in both directions. I can't copy and paste anything from a screen in the latest firefox into word, and any links I copy from word do not copy into the address bar in firefox. Can someone help? I have Windows 7. This has been happening a couple of weeks.

I have followed the directions given and still can not copy and paste, how can I fix this?

I am trying to use the copy and paste function on a website and I get a message window that states that firefox does not allow cut/copy/paste. I followed the link for help and created the js. text file like instructed with the website's URL. I still can not copy and paste. I can copy and paste on this website with internet explorer, but not with firefox. I can not perform all the website functions with the internet explorer brower and switching back and forth from browser to browser is very time consuming and a hassle. Please help me solve this issue.

You don't have to create a PDF, but it would be helpful to know what, exactly, you want to do with the ppt.
You can export as a PDF which will keep vectors and text as PostScript (crisp) elements.
You can also Save As from ppt in a variety of formats such as PNG or TIFF.
These rasterize all the vectors and text, but are very useful if you're laying out a miniature gallery of the powerpoint presentation.
However, if you want to make the InDesign file a replica of the ppt slides for print, PDF is probably the best way to go.

I can't copy and paste.

I recently updated my ipod generation 3 to ios 5.1 or something, and besides being kind of laggy, I can't copy and paste into different apps anymore. For example, I can copy and paste inside notes, but I can't, for example, copy a url from my notes and paste it into safari. Please Help! thanks!

Can not copy and paste

I have the new retina display mac book pro.
I can not copy and paste anymore, using the shortcutes or teh two finger click to right click.
I also can not drag and drop things.
It is really frustrating not being able to copy text, please help!

Can't copy and paste paragraphs into Blogger

Hi all,
I don't know why Safari can't copy and paste paragraphs of text into Blogspot.com posts, but I just can't seem to get it to work. It drops the text below the entry field every time, even if I have the cursor flashing in the blogger typing box (composer). It's just not working. Any ideas?
Also, wondering if Safari has any media download functions like Firefox's "Unplug"?

Can't copy and paste in illustrator

For some reason, I can't copy and paste in Illustrator CC. Even choosing copy straight out of the edit menu doesn't work. Is anyone else having this problem? I tried closing out the program and reopening it, but it still doesn't work.

I'm having the same problem, but I'm trying to copy between Illustrator and Photoshop. I've done all the usual fixes-trashed prefs in both AICC and PSCC, restarted the computer, even downloaded and installed the latest updates to both apps. Copy and paste works within AI and within PS, so it appears to be a problem with the clipboard, but only the clipboard as it serves those two apps. Copy and paste works fine for Pages, MS Word and everything else. What is a clipboard enhancement, and what does its presence or absence indicate? What would it be called? I'll check the Activity Monitor, see if I can find it, then zap the P-RAM. If that doesn't work I'll have to call CC help. Any ideas?

I can't copy and paste in Pages

I have a brand new MacBook Pro that I JUST got for Christmas. I downloaded Pages shortly after. However, all of a sudden I can't copy and paste between documents or even in the SAME document. I tried command+c and command+v and when I do that the Edit section lights up like it recognizes what I'm doing but it won't show up when I paste it. I also tried to do it by manually selecting copy and paste int he Edit section. I don't understand! Someone help me!

Creating a new user account is not necessary linked to the physical existence of an other user. It's helpful when we want to work different ways. It's also useful to help to solve problems like yours.
If an app behave wrongly in account A and behave flawlessly in account B, we know that we may limit the range of files in which something is wrong to the account ones.
As you can't give us the info, we must guess.
So guessing that the problem is in your account, I will say :
Quit/Close Pages
move Pages preferences file to the Desktop
The file's path is :
<startupVolume>:Users:<yourAccount>:Library:Preferences:com.apple.iWork.Pages.pl ist
CAUTION: to reach it under Lion, you must press the option key while triggering the Finder's menu [ Go ] to get the menu item "Library.
Restart Pages
If it behave well, the 'old' prefs file was corrupted.
The odd behavior may be linked to a problem with fonts.
Run : FontBook to scan your fonts to get rid of corrupted or conflicting fonts.
