[help] can't find "processor performance" option in the energy saver
hello....i've just bought my new macbook white 2.0 Ghz. the Mac OS version is 10.5.6
*i can't find any option to change my processor performance* on the "energy saver preferences"....here is the screenshot
it's odd when compared to the screenshot from apple support page

please help me on this, i can't perform image editing well when the battery get low....thanks a lot
On PowerPC machines, there is an option specifically for Processor Performance, while on Intel machines, the only option is for the entire computer - Better Energy Savings, Normal, Better Performance, or Custom. These can be selected for both on power adapter and battery and affect not only the processor, but also the display, sleep, and hard drive.
On 10.5.6, part of the update removed the option to change power settings from the menu bar drop-down menu - perhaps that is what you are looking at.

Call forwarding is a carrier feature. Contact your carrier to see if such is available, & if so have such provisioned on your account.
Note: If a CDMA iPhone, you won't have a setting for call forwarding, even if provisioned on your account. -

I'm trying to sync my ipad over wifi, with my MAC, I have the updated software on my MAC, the ipad is up to dat 6.1.2. I can follow all of the steps, but I can't find a SUMMARY button on the toolbar, nor do I receive the option to sync. What am I doing wrong or what should I look for? Thank You
To sync your iPad over Wifi:
First ensure you're running iTunes 11.0.2. And you already have your iPad up to date, good.
Plug your iPad into the Mac via USB. Click your iPad in the top toolbar (under the search bar). Click the Summary tab if it isn't already selected. Check the box to "Sync with this iPad over Wi-Fi" (you may have to scroll down to see it). And now click the Apply button at the bottom right.
You should be able to unplug your iPad from the Mac and it should still remain in iTunes. (If not, try Quitting and relaunching iTunes and waiting, restarting iPad, etc).
To initiate a sync over Wifi, click your iPad in the toolbar in iTunes then click Sync. Or on your iPad, go to Settings > General > iTunes Wifi Sync and tap "Sync Now."

Just downloaded DW CC. Bought expensive book that tells me to use "Expanded Workspace" but the only options I see in window or workspace button are "Design" Extract" and one other. No where can I find "Expand" or "Compact" which the books says are the two choices.

I won't be spending any more money on expensive books now that I know you can't actually get one that applies to the latest version.
Don't get me wrong. I like books. Classroom in a Book series is an excellent resource to have. You will learn a lot from it. Just don't get side-stepped by Creative Cloud's update schedule. No publishing house can keep pace with it. If you stay informed about new releases from Adobe's "What's New" Blogs, you will get your money's worth out of your books. Online Help (F1) is another good resource to use since it is updated fairly often.

When I last used Firefox support, several years ago, I saw mention of a long list of options and settings available, using a kind of local URL, beginning with "about:". I can't find it now. The text "forums" that I saw then seem to have disappeared and been replaced by support for dummies who might be frightened if they saw a page containing more than just a tiny amount of information.
The question is: where can I find this guide, listing all the available options and settings so that I can make my own decisions?I must have forgotten; it wasn't exactly FF support, but Mozillazine. '''Thank you for the pointer'''. The "long list" I was thinking of was in fact about:config, which is pointed to by that page.
Given all that, I think it should be easier to find Mozillazine from the FireFox support pages. -

Reminders is automatically installed with 10.8 or above. A new Mac should have 10.9; it's possible that, with a third-party vendor, you have an earlier OS. Check under the Apple menu in the top left and click About This Mac. That will tell you what version of OS X you have.

I'd like to update the ISO 4.2.1 on an old iPod Touch to ISO 7. Can't find "Software Update" option under General Setting. Where might I look for the option to slightly upgrade the ISO for this device?
You likely have a 2G iPod and those can go higher than 4.2.1
A 3G can go to 5.1.1
IA 4G, with cameras can go to iOS 6.1.6.
The 5G, also with cameras can go to iOS 8
To update
The Settings>General>Software Update comes with iOS 5 and later.
Connect the iPod to your computer and update via iTunes as far as your iPod model allows

If you are using iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

I've just updated to the latest folio builder (v20), but can't see the scrollable objects tab in the overlay panel. Any pointers?

MI already have the v19 tools installed (the one released 12th March), and there is still no mention of the scrollable objects options in the overlays panel. When you say the v20 tools, do you mean Folio Producer ?
