Help! can't import mp3 files

Question

hello,everyone. I'm a new logic user and I met several problems when i first used logic 7.2.3.
One problem is that i cannot import mp3 files, when i do so, the logic tell me 'Permission was denied, probably due to insufficient access rights.' Another problems is that everytime i pressed the record button, there will always be 2 seconds to wait before the logic starting record, though the cursor is moving. Sometimes it is useful but sometimes i don't need time to wait. What can i do to cancel the wait time?

The reason your mp3 cannot be imported is the following:
The mp3 is locked, and does not allow the operation to happen.
Try this:
1. COPY the mp3 file onto your hard drive.
2. in your finder, look up your mp3. press "apple+i" for the file info to be displayed.
3. look at the bottom of the info pane that pops up, and CHANGE the permissions for everyone to "read+write"
4. CLOSE the info pane, and then try to import the mp3 inot Logic. It should now import normally.
