HELP!! can't see my photos...hundreds of them

i was trying to organize photo files in the finder. i was annoyed that there were hundreds of folders (prob one for every day of shooting) anyways i was consolidating all and was sending to the trash the leftover folders which contained "thumbs and originals". then i opened iphoto and realized the folders i had "organized" weren't showing up. there was still a space where they once were but just grey screen. so i went back to trash (which thankfully wasn't emptied) and pulled everything back out. first to desktop and then to a seperate folder in finder. still not working and i can't access my photos. please please help. thanks

You were messing with iPhoto's organizational scheme-not a good idea.
At this point the easiest thing is to re-import everything into iPhoto and then don't mess around with the files in the Finder.
If you want to know why- iPhoto uses a Library database to keep track of all the photo locations, preserve originals so you can make adjustments without having to worry about losing the image, and all associated data for your images.
If you move the files around in Finder, the library is not being updated and iPhoto loses track of the files.
So, if you're going to use iPhoto, use it and don't worry about the file structure in Finder.
The Official word - from iPhoto Help "What to do about a missing photo"
"If you move, delete, or otherwise change a photo in the iPhoto Library folder, and then open the iPhoto application and try to edit or use that photo, iPhoto may not be able to find it. You will see the missing photo indicator instead.

Can't see all photos on Camera Roll on laptop

I have a slightly unusual problem with my iPhone. I have downlaoded quite a few camera and photo apps from the app store. All of these work fine on the phone itself and I can view all pictures taken and edited with the various apps on the camera roll on the phone. My problem occurs when I connect my iPhone to my laptop and access it using Windows Explorer. When I do this I can only see the photos taken on some of the apps and not all of them. Photos taken using ClassicPAN, ClassicToy, ShakeItPhoto, Pro HDR, Pano to name a few can't be found. If I want to transfer photos from any of these apps to my laptop I have to email them but I have hundreds of photos so this is not feasible. I have a brand new Samsung laptop so maybe some of the settings are wrong but I don't even khow where to begin looking. I would appreciate any help you might be able to give me.

What visual presentation do the other 900 photos have? A Dotted Square? Do you get a ! or ? when you double click on them?
IF so: The ! or ? turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents. The most common cause of this is User Activity in the iPhoto Library Folder. Have you altered, moved or renamed anything in the iPhoto Library Folder?
If you haven't, then try rebuilding the database. Hold down the apple and option keys and launch iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.

Never heard of that before. Events and Photos are exactly the same thing, just presented in a different way.
What version of iPhoto? Can you give us a full description of what you see in the Events section?
Finally, please don't type in block capitals They are harder to read and it feels to the reader like you're shouting at everybody.

I can only see one photo at a time

I use to be able to see a thumbnail of all my photos. Now for some reason I can only see one photo at at a time. I have to use the scroll bar to go up and down. It is so frustrating. Please help.

In the lower right corner of the iPhoto window is a slider. Move it to the left. Does that work?

I can't see older photos events of iPhoto on my Apple TV 2nd Gen. Only recent events are shown and I have selected to see all photos, events and faces from the sharing preferences in iTunes. Does anybody have any idea how to solve it?

Mirroring is working on my iPad2 and iPhone4S (IOS5) but not on my iPad (ios5) or iPhone 3G (IOS4).
As I understand it, mirroring is restricted to iPad2 and iPhone4S on ios5.

Can't see my photos or album artwork in iPod

I recently had to recover all my music, pictures, and videos back into iTunes from my iPod. I can play all my music and videos just fine. The problem is that I can't see my photos in my iPod anymore. When I go to the library in my iPod then there are a lot of "blank photos," like they're there but they aren't visible. iTunes says that the photos have been synced with no problem to my iPod. Please help.

Select the iPod in iTunes.
Click on the Music tab.
Tick Display artwork on you iPod.
If you cannot see it, make sure your screen resolution is set to at least 1024x768.

How can I see what photos are stored on iCloud? I haven't used Photo Stream before so there are no photos on there that I can see.

If you haven't used Photostream there won't be any photos "actually on iCloud".
Any photos stored as part of an iOS device backup can be viewed on the iOS device after restoring the backup to the iOS device. They can't be viewed online.

Facebook for Blackberry: can't see any photos

Hi,
I'm new to Blackberry, I just bought a Curve 8520 a friend did not use anymore (he got a newer Blackberry, haha). And I'm facing some difficulties with Facebook for Blackberry: I can't see any photo.
OS: 5.0.0.900
App: Facebook for Blackberry (by RIM) - version 1.9.0.28
Carrier: Rogers Wireless. On prepaid plan (Blackberry Social 40)
Everything worked alright this week, I remember using the Facebook app on Monday and Tuesday wihout noticing anything. I happen to have noticed on friday night that no profile picture nor photos in photo albums to show when in Facebook app (but the problem could have started before).
It does not seems like it's a problem with Facebook authorizations, as I can see every profile picture when I'm on my desktop PC and when I go to Facebook mobile website using my BB's browser on WiFi.
If I try to see a photo from an album, I get the followinf error: "Failed to download the requested image".
If you have any suggestion or need more info, please don't hesitate, I'll gladly read and answer you!
(I tried a quick search on this problem, but did not find anything really helpfull. But this guy seems to have had this problem on last April, and he did not get an answer...)

Where did you get the device? Is it possible that it has an IT policy on the device blocking Facebook and/or Facebook options? Look in Options >Security Options >General Settings (actual menu paths vary with OS version) and see if there is any reference to IT policy.

I can't see my photo's! YIKES!!!!

I was working in Aperture 3, editing photo's in my latest project. I decided to move the project in the inspector so that it would be in alphabetical order with the other projects. When I did that my photo's disappeared. In all projects. I am currently unable to see any photo's in any projects. I know they are still there in the Aperture Library. Went to "show package contents" in AP Library and everything is still in there. In the inspector, it shows each project by name and even the number of images in each project.
I just can't see any photos.
Checked quick preview, and filter settings for viewing. All is correct there.

Please try right clicking the image and select Update Thumbnail.
If the problem still persists, please go to the location of catalog folder mentioned in Help > System Info
Rename the thumb.5.cache file to thumb.5.cache.old and now relaunch the application.
Please note if the file size is large, application will take some time in generating thumbnail.

I need your help!!! I chat with my brothers with my iphone 4 and they use Blackberry or computer to chat with me. I can send all file or photo to them but when they want to send it also to me during chatting (via Im+,MSN,eBuddy), I can not see anything not even invitation to accept it. It likes they did not send anything to me but they said they trying to send a photo to me. Does anyone know what is wrong with my iphone?
