Help! Can't type spaces in a right aligned form field

I am creating a form letter where sales staff can enter their location information at the bottom. Some of the fields are right aligned. My problem is that the right aligned fields do not to recognize the space bar, and all the text entered runs together. Spaces can be entered after the fact, but I doubt every salesperson will be careful enough to proofread the form and make the correction. I posted ta question about this issue a while back but did not find a solution http://forums.adobe.com/thread/609678?tstart=0. I'd hoped it would be resolved in the CS5 upgrade. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Maybe it is something with my system. The pdf is generated from a Word document saved in 97-2004 format (.doc) out of Word 2008. I'm working on a Macintosh in OS 10.5.8. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I Cannot seem to type spaces in a right aligned form field

Well, that's not quite true, spaces can be added , but only after entering the text. For example, if I type 3456 Taylor Ave., what I get is 3456TaylorAve, and then I have to go back in and enter the spaces. Since this form will be used by numerous employees and sent out to customers, I am afried this will result in lots of unprofessional looking documents. Does anyone know of a setting I should be turning on to correct this? It only happens in form fields with right-alined text.
I'm working in OSX 10.5.8 in Acrobat CS3.

Plz help: can i type Chinese using Apple wireless keyboard????

Kind of struggling whether should i buy a wireless keyboard for my ipad air 2 as i may have lotta word job related to Chinese and French, and i know that French is okay with the English keyboard, at least much eaiser than typing Chinese characters.
So the real concern is, can i type Chinese with the wireless keyboard without any problem?
I've seen some solutions (all didn't mention if it has been proved yet or not so i automatically assume they are all just beautiful hypotheses) posted in the community claiming you just need go to settings then select the international language you wanna use, and you will be all set (in both virtual and external keyboard)----is that true??? Pleeeease help, thousands of thanks

I understand that you would like to use the Apple Wireless Keyboard with English letters to type characters in different languages. This can be done by changing the import sources to type in other languages, including Chinese. For information on this process, please refer to the attached article.

Right align numeric field in query

How do i embed the html code in the query to right align a query column?
I tried this query
select '<span style="color:red;text-align:right;">' || totals || '</span>' as Totals from mytable
The result is comes as red color but the text is not right aligned.

You have to replace < by & lt; -> remove the space between & and lt;
BTW, why not use the "Column Alignment" property of a report column?

Boom here i back. First of all i have to say that Amazon Prime delivery speed is aaaaawesome! Placed my order yesterday and got my new shiny wireless keyboard right in TODAY'S MORNING! Thanks Amazon.
And switch back to the topic. So thrilled to unwrap my package and write down this review here----Yes, absoluately this keyboard can type Chinese, just tried on it and received a perfect performance along with a fluent typing experience. Well, actually, it can undertake all different languages that preset in the ipad software without any problem, thus the language versions provided to the keyboard is just a matter of layouts, which is absoluately not relevant, like Tom said, for what language you can type.
There's one thing need to be mentioned though, if your keyboard is an English version, when you wanna type accented letters like French or special symbols, you may have to memorize some certain keys and then press the "option" button at the same time to bring up the hidden stuff you want since there's nothing but just English letters printed on each key.
Furthermore, the design is simple but stylish, super thin and feather-light, always ready to go, make a fantastic pair with my ipad and now they are officially couples kkkkkkkkkk. Have to admit that Apple always make good-looking products.
Regarding to the battery life, ummmmmmmm...have no idea right now as it's a brandnew boy, but referring to most of other folks, let's say the battery can last for months even with an everyday-use, i hope so....Nous allons attendre et voir !
As for those who don't know how to tell the keyboard is on/off, just tried on mine, to turn it off, simply press the big home botton on the side and hold for seconds till the green lil light goes out (usually takes 3 seconds or so), if you wanna double check, just hit a key randomly and you will notice that no further letters appear on your screen due to the disconnection of the keyboard.
So, all in all, if you like this keyboard and you are a heavy word job person, go for it, no concern leave behind. (Apple should really pay me advertising fees for all these words and i'm tired out for typing already kkkkkkkk)

Please Help--Can't fill out or submit/save .PDF forms

Running Safari 5.1.2 on Mac OS 10.6.8 (the latest updates according to software update) and using the Schubert PDF browser plugin. http://www.schubert-it.com/pluginpdf/
Before updating from Safari 5.0.xxxx I could fill out and submit .PDF forms in Safari without any issues. Now, I cannot. The form comes up but I cannot enter any text into the text fields.
About a month ago I went through this and had to revert back from a time machine back up because the ability to fill out forms in browser is an everyday necessity for me.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?? Please help...

Ok.. I still cannot get this figured out. I'm baffled and frustrated!!
I did a deep cache cleaning using Snow Leopard Cash Cleaner, all of your reccomendations, and about an hours worth of reading. I had the schubert-it plug in uninstalled and have gone back to reinstalling it with no luck. I was thinking after all the cache cleaning it might work. Nope..
I can't beleive this is an issue after an update.. Apple is normally so great with this stuff.
The com.adobe.reader folder does not exist on my computer.
This problem occurs with any online form, not just the ones I need to access and submit, and it occurs with the native PDF support in Safari as well as the schubert app.
Any other ideas? I read on one post where someone fixed it with quicktime, but the video he put up to show how he fixed it was no longer available.

Can not type in blanks of an online form

When I try to type in lines of online form, my computer keys do not work. What do I need to do to complete online forms?

Did you try to type in either bar after having clicked on it?
Are you using the default theme or a custom theme?<br />
If that is the latter then your theme may not be compatible with Firefox 15

Firefox 15+ will still display the grayed placeholder text if you click an input field or text area.
The placeholder text will only disappear after you have typed at least one character.

How can I set the font size of a form field in the fdf file?

I need to dynamically set the font size of a field to accommodate text of varying length, automatic font size won't work in this case. It seems like this can be done in the FDF but I have tried several variants without success. Could someone help out with a real example of what the syntax in the fdf should look like.
I am using Acrobat Professional 8.1 but the created fdf will need to work with Reader also.

I think that the font size has to be set in the form itself, not the FDF.

I can not type into an FDF form

I am running OS X 10.9.5 with Adobe Reader 11.0.09. I am now unable to type into any FDF forms that I was able to type into prior to updating the OS X and Adobe Reader. I typically have to have only the Adober Reader opening in 32-bit mode with a preference change in the documents section of changing the drop down box for viewing documents in PDF/A mode to never. Any suggestions?

An FDF file is a special file created by exporting form field data from either Acrobat or Reader or it is created with the proper formatting.
If the FDF includes the path to the source form PDF, then either Reader or Acrobat can open the FDF and fill-in the form fields in the source PDF file if the user's system can access the source pdf file by the link within the FDF file. Some PDF files do not include this link or the source PDF is not accessible by the user.
FDF (Forms Data Format) cannot be opened with Adobe Reader because it is data file that needs to be imported to a PDF with corresponding fields or you can use a text editor to open it and read its data.
If the users have Adobe Reader XI and you have created the form with Acrobat, not with LiveCycle Designer, they could fill the form, save it filled and send the PDF to other e-mails. If you have Acrobat X Pro you can Reader Extend it first before distributing it.

How can I pass a variable to a form to pre-fill form fields on load?

Hi all,
I am developing a Windows Form Applicaiton in C# to register new users and walk them through a signup process.The application does a lot of other things as well. This part of it collects their personal information and saves the data to the database. Part of the process requires the user to complete a pdf form (W-4 tax form). I would like to pre-populate as many form fields as possible for them when the pdf launches, and not have them enter anything to get their data to prefill the form fields.
My issue is I can't figure out how to get the pdf to know who is loading the form so I can do the SQL select and populate the form fields. I need to do a select * from Table where UniqueID="xxxxx" but how can I get the form to know on load what "xxxxx" is so it grabs the users personal info from the database?
I have searched high and low and found nothing on how to do this without doing some hoakey hack outside of the application or pdf doc.
I am creating/editing the form in LiveCycle Designer 8 and am loading the form for use by the user in acrobat 9.
Any help,ideas, or nudging in the right direction would be much appreciated!

Right alignment of Number Field in OAF Page

Hi,
I need to right align the column of the table which is of number type in OAF page. I have extended the VO of that page to add new columns. After VO extension i added the column to the page via personalization and gave the reference of view attribute name as per Extened VO. I have set the following properties for that column
Item Sytle- Message Style Text
Data Type- Number
Nowrap=false
Vertical Alignment=Middle
View Attribute = Prior (same as Extended VO's column)
View Instance = XXPayEmpAccrualActionInfoVO
I need to set the value of this newly added column right align which is currently set as left align by default.

Dear colleagues,
I have a barcode which repesents a quantity. As most of the time the value is small I want to right align the field
to keep a distance from the field left to it. Is there a possibility to right align a barcode ? I already tried the XML clause
<para hAlign="right" vAlign="middle"/>
which is normally used for numeric fields. But it does not change anything.
Any ideas ?

It sounds like you have an older iMac than the 2006 and newer model this forum covers. The problem is that, in 2006, Apple changed from PowerPC to Intel processors and third-party developers soon stopped making new software for the older processors. That's why you cannot upgrade Flash player--the current version requires a Mac the "2006 and later" processor.
However, not having a current version of FlashPlayer should not affect your ability to download. If you try downloading, do you get an error message or does something else happen?
Do you have another web browser like FireFox or Camino on your computer?

Well, "running right" may be doable but "up to date" may not be. You are already at as high a Mac OS level that a pre-2006 Mac can use. We need to pin down your variant to make recommendations. From your Apple menu at the left end of the menu bar, do "About this Mac":

Let us know what yours say for "processor." The two choices are "PowerPC" as in the example, or "Intel." If you have an Intel processor, you have more options available.
