Help!! Cannot connect to router settings with IP address

I am trying to access my router by typing http://192.168.1.1 into safari but keep getting the message "Safari could not open the page “http://192.168.1.1/” because the server stopped responding."
Can't understand why this is happening as it is definately the correct IP address.
Can anyone help??
Many Thanks

Then that means you Mac is perfectly communicating with the Router. Just to check open Network Utility and Ping to your Router 192.168.1.1. If you get a reply/responce back then of course that means it does communicate. If you try Safari agin and it does not connect then shut down your mac for 5 min and unplug the electrical cord of your router for 2 min and replug and start your mac. Sometimes there can be electrical "glicthes"

The program runs fine within eclipse and the database is bundled in the jar.

...and the database is bundled in the jar. That isn't going to work.
The MS ODBC driver (which has absolutely nothing to do with java) expects to find the MS Access file in the windows file system.
And the contents of the jar file does not fit into that requirement.

  • TS1368 Still cannot connect to iTunes store with iPad2. Have tried all suggestions.

I cannot connect to iTunes store with my iPad2. Not sure why. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears...  Thanks so much!

Don't know if this has any bearing on the conversation at hand, but I ran into this issue last night. Started when I couldn't purchase anything via Comixology. Which caused a lot of swearing.
But then realized, that I couldn't get to the Apple store either.
Figuring that it was my wifi access point being a jerk, I reset that. And "forgot", then reconfigured my wireless.
    Still nothing.
At this point, I checked our ISP (Charter) to see if they had an outage. They did. DNS servers were hosed. I gave up and went to bed.
This morning. Same thing. One thing I noticed, was that all of our computers -- not iDevices -- had no problems. Weird.
So I checked the firewall, and found that every request was going to Malaysia, or Thailand. I have country blocking enabled on our firewall. So, I thought that was weird. Checked the IP addresses that were blocked, and found that they were Akamai addresses. I allowed one device through, to test, and everything works.
Wondering if Apple is leaning on Akamai for the flood of traffic that the IOS 6 upgrade is causing.
In any case, if your ISP, or firewall, router, what-not blocks Asian rim countries, it's worth a check.

  • User cannot connect to backend system with user J2EE_ADMIN.

I am using Rapid Installer to initiate the second part of the installtion "ERP 6.0 EhP 3 – Self-Service Scenarios and Automatic Roles".  When I get to the J2EE User section to enter the parameters, the user is defaulted to "Administrator" and I enter my password.  I click next and get this message "User cannot connect to backend system with user J2EE_ADMIN."  Any ideas?

If this is a double stack installation, you need to enter J2EE_ADMIN as user, NOT administrator.

  • WRT160N v3: Cannot connect to router setup web page with current Firefox or IE

Every time I try to connect to the admin page of my router, I get "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."  This happens with FIrefox 11, and started when I upgraded to 8 or 9.  A machine running FF 3.6 does not exhibit this problem; I get right in.  What IE 9 says is "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" (after complaining about the expired certificate).
I ran Wireshark to see if I could learn anything, but all I could figure out was this:
    https handshake was OK.
First TLS packet is received by router, which then immediately issues a reset and ends the connection.  I don't know why.
Has anyone seen this? or have I got a screwed up configuration (or router)?

"The connection has timed out", seems to affect servers at MozilllaZine, for Firefox on Windows...
I'm not sure what this has to do with my problem; my difficulty is only in trying to talk to the router configuration page.  Everything else works just fine.
    ~~ Tools > Options
~~ Advanced (tab) -> Network (tab) > "Setting"
~~ (X) Auto-detect proxy setting for this network
I have "use system proxy settings".  Since this is a home network and I'm not using a software proxy on my machine, I know there is nothing between me and the router.
Second, let me know if you have enabled 'https' in the router management page. What is the IP address on the computer when connected to the router. To check the IP address that you are getting from the Router... You can check the IP address in the following manner:
    # Click on Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt.
    # A black pop up box should come up, type: "ipconfig /all" …
This is not going the right direction, but to satisfy your curiosity:
       IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.244.122.142(Preferred)
       Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
       Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.244.122.1
       DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.244.122.1
These are correct. (Since my telco DSL has me behind its own NAT router and has assigned my modem address 192.168.1.2, so I could not use Cisco/Linksys's manufacturer default address settings.)
There check the IP address and Default Gateway under LAN….
If it provides the valid IP address then try to connect the router to a different computer and then try to open the router setup page...
I have a linux virtual host (thanks to VMware) now running Firefox 5, and it can talk to the router setup page just fine, once I accept and save the invalid certificate the router presents, at https://10.244.122.1.  So I conclude the problem is to do with the later version of Firefox (currently 11, but I had this problem with 10 and maybe with 8 and 9).

  • WRT 120N- Cannot connect to the internet with more than one PC at a time.

Before I went on a three month vacation,I could connect 3 or 4 PC's either wireless or wired to my router with no problems at all.I have a desk top and a laptop computer which I use at home. After I returned,I found that I could connect to the internet with only one PC at a time.
If I was say, connected via my laptop,my desk top would continuously keep getting disconnected and vice versa.I have been reading the suggestions from experts here and have done a few checks based on them.I also cannot get to my router page which is 192.168.1.1 I keep getting a message that says "Problem Loading Page" and this happens with both,Firefox and Internet Explorer.I am running Windows 7 - 32 bit on my desk top and Vista Home Premium on my laptop.
I have opened the "Command Prompt" dialogue and pinged 192.168.1.1 and thereafter I typed in "ipconfig".These are the results:

I presume that this model is a modem **bleep** router as I do not have a separate modem with my system.I have a DSL connection and the firmware version of my router is ver.1.0.If I recall,I did upgrade to the next firmware upgrade a few months after I purchased the router but I am not sure.
I use both my PC's to run a small business venture and I am worried that resetting the router may cause some other problems and will stop me from using the internet.
The Command Prompt information above was taken from my laptop.

I suggest resetting the router. Make sure firmware is updated. You can download it here - http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT120N. After firmware upgrade, reset and reconfigure. Just access the link below to guide you setting up the router.

  • Cannot connect to router (Windows is fine!)

I cannot get my computer to connect to my netopia router at my office. I've been on the phone with tech support for around 30 minutes and have been through all of the regular settings and resets.
When I run bootcamp and load my computer with Windows, I can connect to the router fine (ethernet and wireless).
When I'm on the Mac, I get connected (green light or connection signal from wireless), but I get no internet and cannot access my router.
I have a suspicion that is has something to do with IP addresses. My router IP address is 192.168.1.254. When I log on wirelessly it says my IP address is 192.168.2.23, which is incorrect. When I plug in the ethernet, my address is 192.168.2.21, which must also be incorrect. Also of note is that under search domains "Belkin" is in gray. I'm not even connecting to a Belkin router!
I do want to note that for some strange reason, after a bunch of resets, sometimes I am able to connect wirelessly with a correct IP (192.168.1.13 or something), but then I lose the connection and can never get it back.
    What gives?!?

Are you sure your Mac is set to obtain its IP address via DHCP?
It sounds a lot like your Mac has a manual IP address or addresses set.
If that's not the case, your office may (erroneously) have multiple DHCP servers running, which could create the problem you're seeing.
In such an situation it's a pure race condition as to which DHCP server you will obtain an address from and whether you will keep a good one once obtained.
But check for the manual IP address setting first.

  • 'Cannot Connect to iTunes' but with iBooks instead of apps?

    Hello.
So I'm having that 'Cannot connect to iTunes' problem, but instead of not being able to update or download apps, I cannot syn sideloaded books to my iPad 2? I've tried to sync the same books to my iPhone 5s and I have the same issue, but the strangest part is that it's only certain epubs that will not sync, while some other epubs have no issues and pdfs have none. According to iTunes, the books are on my device and taking up space, however the covers are faded and have a blue bar about 75% loaded at the bottom. I cannot delete them from the device, and have to do so through iTunes. I'm getting really annoyed that half my books aren't showing up on my device. Here are some solutions I've tried:
Ensuring that I'm using the cord that came with the iPad, and not my iPhone 5s cord
Uninstalling iTunes, then downloading the latest version
    Restarting my iPad
Making sure my iPad is up to date
Deleting all of the books off of iTunes and adding them back
Trying to sync books in batches of 10
    Resetting my network settings
Does anyone have anything that will help? I just want to read my books. :c

Probably a problem with the update server.
There are many similar cases on this discussion.

  • Cannot connect to workplace (VPN) with wizard

I am trying to setup a VPN connection to my workplace on my laptop but am not able to get past the wizard.  I was able to get it to work successfully on my desktop and others who have used Windows 7 have been able to connect also.
Specically, what I am doing is going to Network and Sharing Center, Set up a New Connection, Connect to a Workplace, Use my Internet Connection (VPN).  I use an IP address that I know works on other machines.  I have tried using the Don't Connect
Now option as well as without that option.
When I hit Create, I immediately get a "The wizard cannot connect" with only a Try Again option.  If I try again, it will essentially hang and I've given it over 30 minutes at least once to try to figure it out.
I have Norton Antivirus and I disabled the Smart Firewall.  I have tried uninstalling Norton Antivirus and disabling the default Windows Firewall.  I have tried disabling Windows Defender.  I'm not sure what else to try anymore.

    Hi
You are trying to connect using the wizard. I recommend you try to connect using the connection itself.
After you are done with the wizard and the creation of your VPN connection (With the Don't connect now ticked), you should go back to Network and Sharing Center, on the left hand click on change adapter settings and you will see your VPN connection.
Here if you right click and get the properties of your connection, you can configure many options there depending on the settings of the VPN Server.
I recommend you do ask your server admin about the required settings of the connection and then change the settings on different tabs accordingly, like the type of encryption and the type of tunneling protocol and etc. or another thing you could do is go
to your desktop and go ahead with the same procedure and take note of the setting from the connection and then change the connection settings on your laptop accordingly.
    That will probably help you
    MCT, MCSA/MCSE Security
    http://esitech.spaces.live.com/
Note, I cannot get through the wizard so I cannot get to the properties of the connection or anything else because it does not get created.  Even when I choose the Don't Connect Now, I still get a Cannot Connect error (I mean why is it trying to connect
if I am telling it not to bother at the moment).
I am about as much as a server admin (at the company) than anyone else here.  I highly doubt there is something wrong from the server point of view as it is working for everyone else including myself on my desktop.  The issue is with the laptop.

  • Cannot connect to router E1000

    Hello,
I own a E1000 router that I use with several wireless machines. I have no problem connecting to the internet.
Unfortunately, I cannot connect to the configuration of the router by typing https://192.168.1.1/ nor http://192.168.1.1/ in a browser, be it wirelessly or wiredly. For example, Firefox displays "Connection has been reinitialized". Furthermore, when I launch Cisco Connect, it only shows the error "Unable to connect to router".
I tried to switch my router off and on, but that doesn't help. Totally resetting the router solves the problem, but not definitely.
Is there a solution that does not require resetting my router?
    Thank you very much.

(I don't see anymore how to edit my initial post.)
The message displayed by Firefox is “The connection was reset” and not what I had translated into “Connection has been reinitialized”.
As far as the OSs are concerned, the machines that should be able to access my router are running Ubuntu, Android, Windows and an embed version of Linux. I tried with different webbrowsers, including Firefox and the Android Browser.
Please tell me if I should add any additional information.
I did a lot of search on the web and some say that similar problems come from the option of HTTPS that is selected for accessing the administration page. Is this correct? Should I abandon the idea of wanting a configuration with HTTPS?
