Help! Cannot receive e-mail!

I have been unable to receive e-mail for a couple days now. I can send e-mails out no problem, but nothing is coming in. I have checked my e-mail account on my desktop, and the e-mails are just not showing up on my blackberry. I have been told to try sending a PIN to myself, but it doesnt look like I am able to send a PIN to anyone. I am able to go on the internet, and I am able to access everything, I just can't get email.
At this point, any help would be appreciated.

I am having the same problem and cannot find an answer. If I click reconcile nothing happens either.

  • Mac OX x 10.8: I can send e-mail; cannot receive e-mail. Connect Doctor lights are green.

I cannot receive e-mail on my new iMac with OS x 10.8 Can send; can retrieve from host server. Both connection doctor lights are green.

In my version of mail, the outgoing settings are a bit hidden.  You have to click on the Server Settings... at the bottom of the screen.
I hid my user settings by dragging another window over them.  The button is just below the hidden stuff.  I forget what 10.1 looked like.
You could try Thurderbird.  I use it.  I am not sure what version you need.  I used 0.7 with Mac OS 10.2.  I'd try the last  version of 1.x as your first quess.  These are in a little harder format to sort out.

  • I CANNOT RECEIVE E-MAIL, USING IPAD2

    I CANNOT RECEIVE E-MAIL, USING IPAD2

First of all, do you have Internet connectivity?   I get email fine when I am connected to a WiFi network (I don't have 3G), but I can't if I'm not connected.
Secondly, have you set up your email account settings correctly?   Compare them with your computer (or however you were getting them before) or ask you email provider for assistance.

  • Cannot Receive Yahoo Mail on One eMail Account

On iPad:  Cannot receive or send yahoo mail on account #3.  This account works fine on my iPhone and two computers.  Accounts #1 and #2 also work fine on the iPad in question.
Previous to Deleting Account and Adding it back we would simply receive "Updated Yesterday"  or now "Updated Monday".  Would not update Account #3.  Again Accounts #1 and #2 work fine on problem iPad.
    Any suggestions?

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.
    https://portal.smartertools.com/kb/a2659/configure-imap-for-iphone-or-ipad.aspx
    https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mobile-mail/imap-server-settings-sln4075.html
    On the iPhone, tap Settings.
    Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap your Yahoo account, then delete it.
    Tap Add Account.
    Tap Other.
    Tap Add Mail Account.
Complete the Name, Address (email address), Password and Description fields.
    Click Next.
    Ensure IMAP is selected.
Enter the following incoming mail server information:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 993
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Hostname is mail.yahoo.com.
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail.
Enter the following outgoing mail server information:
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 465 or 587
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Requires authentication: Yes
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail. It may have been entered for you.
    Tap Next.
The iPhone will establish an SSL connection to your IMAP and SMTP servers.
    That’s all!

  • I can send, but cannot receive E-Mail, suddenly.

I am a new convert to the entire world of Apple, aside from a longtime Safari proponent and user. A month and a half ago, I purchased a MacBook Pro 15" (you all know the specs, I went with 512 g flash drive upgrade) and am extremely happy with it. I have Windows 7 x64 installed on a 200g partition, solely so I can continue to use a few SONY apps that I need for video and audio editing for my business. These apps are NOT available for Apple machines and are essential to my photo restoration and video transfer and editing business. Ok, that's the environment.
Yesterday, as I normally do, I woke up, coffee, check on all of my animals, Mac starts with scheduled start-up at 7:20am as per usual while I am busy with my 'wake up' duties. After the wife was off to work and I was ready to check E-Mails and check for any correspondence from clients, I open 'mail,' (I have it set to start at scheduled start-up) and notice there is no E-Mail in my two pop accounts. I have a Gmail account and the iCloud account. 'This is odd.' I invoke 'receive' a couple times. Nothing. I turn on my phone (Blackberry) and it starts making noise as it normally does when E-Mail comes in. This is weird. I reboot my lovely Mac. No joy. No E-Mail. So I start troubleshooting. I figure out that I can send from all four accounts but cannot receive on any of them.
I reboot to the Windows partition. I open Live Mail. It fills up on my two pop accounts. Even more weirder. I have the Gmail account on this partition also, but it rarely receives E-Mail so it can wait. No iCloud on the Windows side. We all understand that.
On the Apple side, I removed all accounts from mail and re-established them with no resulting solution being apparent.
I have made no changes at my account on the server (webhero.com) so I am baffled. I looked for solutions here, but have found nothing, which is why this is being written.
Because I have seen no solutions, I consider that something unique has occurred to my computer that is not a new issue with many other Mac users.
My system is updated to all recent standards so there isn't much more to post
    Any ideas, anyone?
    Thanks for looking,
    Kelly J.

Personally I will never leave Windows behind. Mac just doesn't cut it for me. For one it is to much of a closed system and the door is closing even more as I type this. MS isn't that much better with the release of Win 8 (which I will not be using at all except for Tech supporting others).
Apple does not like to give the user options and if they do you have to know the command line to implement them, in some cases. In others there simply is no user choice, like sounds for events.
With the advent of the newer Mac's with Non upgradeability, IE the retina models and the newest iMacs, this is certainly not the systems for me.
The OS? Well IMHO OS X isn't any better then Windows and in most case I like Windows better. IMHO Windows is an easier system to use. Not sure about Win 8.
Been running Windows for 20+ years and I can count on one hand the number of BSODs I've had. But then I run Clean system and the desktops I built myself. Notebooks are mostly Dell Business line models and my one MBP.
BSODs happen from bad hardware or drivers for that hardware. OS X is slightly better but Apple is not immune from writing or using bad drivers and the hardware is no better built then most any Windows PC. It just comes in a different case.
Apple Lived on the "It Just works" saying for a long time. That is not the case today, as you may see from all the posts in all the Apple hardware forums.
I'm Fixento get back to work, Y'all. Ga day.

  • HT1430 cannot receive e-mail

  • Cannot receive e-mail

The dock no longer indicates that I have mail. When I press " get mail" a box appears and asks for a password. I have never used a password to get the mail and do not need it. I called Earthlink and created a new account in mail preference using an address of chuck847@earthlink .net instead of [email protected] but the only mail I received was earthlink promos. I still cannot get my mail.

    Hello Chuck.
I have never used a password to get the mail and do not need it.
Yes you have but the account's password was saved in your Keychain.
The account's password is required by Earthlink and all other ISPs and email account providers when checking the account's incoming mail server using Mail or any email client.
I have an Earthlink account and my account's password is required when checking the account for new mail.
Try running Keychain First Aid on your Keychain.

  • Cannot receive e-mail - my solution

I have been suffering from not being able to recieve e-mail with Leopard as well. Everything seemed to be ok, the connection doctor showed everything to be working, I was able to send e-mails, but when checking my mail (and I get loads of mail) nothing seemed to come in.
Until I checked the "new last 7 days" smart mailbox and found all my missing mail sitting there, all in the spam folder where they had been redirected. The culprit was easily found - a rule from the disabled SpamSieve which didn't work correctly anymore.
All I had to do was to delete this SpamSieve rule and now everything works as intended. Hope this helps at least some of you.

I FINALLY got it to work on BOTH iPhone 4 and iPpad 3.  Here is what I had to do:
Had to DELETE all e-mail accounts including icloud.
Did a hard reset (hold down button on top right corner and round button on bottom center)
Then once it came back on, the iPhone had ALL of the accounts still on it and it was receivng e-mail.
The iPad receive e-mail until I did the steps above 5 times.  Plus, I had to add back all of the e-mail accounts vs. on the iPhone 4 they were there when my phone came on.
Now I am receiving e-mail on both devices normally.
No clue why this happened, but Apple needs to find a fix ASAP.

  • Cannot receive e-mails on Outlook 2010

I cannot receive any e-mails on my Outlook 2010
It keeps asking for my password, even when re-entered it still refuses to let e-mails through.
    Any ideas what to do?
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Make sure you have the correct settings
    POP3
Server incoming and out going: mail.btinternet.com
Email user name: (Normally you only need the prefix of your email address but some users have found the need to enter their full email address.ie [email protected])
    Password: Your BT email password.
Log on using clear text authentication
Out Going Server in requires Authentication (Use same as incoming mail server. Some users have found that they need to enter the password and username instead of ticking box “use same as incoming mail server” )
Outgoing Port : 465 SSL security
Incoming Port : 995 SSL security
    IMAP
Same as above except for Incoming Port: 993 SSL security

  • Apple  cannot receive e mails

    Apple iMAC OS
10.6 - e mail set as icloud.com but now for the last 5 days cannot receive e mails

Many thanks for your reply - I cannot upgrade my mac although I have the maximum Memory installed that is possible  BUT this is still  not enough to instal a better OS.         I have just solved my problem,at least for now, by changing my advanced  incoming  server details to IMAP.
