Help! Cant boot, cant do anything!!

My ibook g4 started to slow down yesterday and then it frooze. I shut it off and now it wont boot. The first time i tried i got as far as the login window, but then nothing more happened. I then did a hardware check from the cd that said that no hardware was broken. After that i have tried maybe fifteen times to start it again but all i see is the apple logo and the spinning thing under it. I have made a pmu-reset and that didnt help. I would gladly reinstall osx if i could but now it wont even boot from the install disc. My HD was nearly full but this came unexpected. What am i to do?? Help me please!!

Hi, I think you have a few options. Some are more expensive than others.
1) If you feel up to it, you may be able to boot into open firmware and remove large files from the shell prompt. This is not for the faint of heart!
2) Muck around with the HD and the CD some more, maybe even going into the case.
I'd try turning off the machine and waiting a minute, then turning it back on. Hold down the mouse button to eject the CD-ROM. Examine the CD-ROM closely. Are there a lot of scratches? What does it look like -- is it really a disc that you can or have booted from before? If it is, slide it back in and hold down the C key until you hear the sounds of the drive accessing the disc. This will sound like a lot of spazzy clicks and whirs.
If the disc doesn't boot, then you've got bigger problems than just a full hard drive. This is where you may need to go into the case.
3) The other options are expensive, and run from getting a used FW hd from Ebay that has OS X on it, to getting a new CD ROM (if yours is toast), or even getting a new internal hard drive and using it to boot from so that you can get to your old one.

Have you tried repairing itunes 7? If you download it again, it will give you the option to repair (as i tried many times at the weekend!)
In the end i had to re-install itunes 6, obviously i lost my music from the library, however i saved my favourite songs in windows media and just imported them back....not ideal, but I got round it that way.......
Repairing may be no good, but it's worth a try......

i have Nokia 3120 Classic and Gigabyte 566n Laptop, Windows Xp Professional Sp3(Hebrew), Nokia Connectivity Cable Drivers installed.
the Nokia Pc Suite(the most updated - 7.1.40.1) was working in the past but now when im trying to sync things to my phone
i get message that its not finding the usb cable....
my usb cable is ok and my phone is ok...
but also its not letting me use the bluetooth.
also long time ago when i head the hebrew version of nokia it was not writed in hebrew i saw just squares ( [] ) like that.

To sync you need to connect the phone to iTunes and do it like there - there is no other way on a 3gs and also remember that a lot of apps will no longer be compatible with an iPhone 3gs - it is an old phone in technology terms now.
Time to buy a new phone!!

Help Me I Cant Play Anything!!!!!

Hi, I recently had trouble with my old pc it seemed that the m/b died on me!!! so iv just dished out £900 on a new pc tower . I built it myself and its my first effort. Inside there is,

Graphics: 128MB MSI GF4 *x8* AGP Ti4800SE-VTD with TV Out/DVI
Sound: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Player Retail
Now then i have a few problems, first off when i boot up my machine i get a program called PC Alert4 showing up, this came with the motherboard and is used to show the status of your machine. Now there is one dial that shows up in red which is SYS FAN, I think it shows red because it is running too slow if anyone owns an MSI motherboard and may know this to be the case can you please inform me on what they SYS Fan is and how I can speed it up? Also if this is the case the CPU Fan runs at 2500
is this ok?
Another thing i that whenever I play a good 3D game like Warcraft3 or Mafia, Elder Scrolls3 etc my computer hangs and I cant recover it without rebooting Why could this be? I is really bugging me because I cant play anything? The graphics card is good enough to easily run any of these games at full wack but yet my comp hangs, is this a gfx issue or something else?
Please help as I am stuck with what to do next!!!

In PC Alert there are 2 purple boxes over each indicator, slid them to adjust the tolerances untill it stops warning you. 2500rpm for a case fan is normal.
You can remove PC Alert from the startup by going to start menue->programs->startup->pcalert->right click->delete
The instability can be a number of factors.
Try memtest86 from http://www.memtest86.com to see if you are having any memory problems.
See if setting the AGP to x4 in the bios helps.
Try using an updated VGA driver from http://www.nvidia.com

Hello. Im having some problems with my imac. When i start my mac up i can't open the boot menu by holding down the alt button. it goes directly into iOS and freezes. i had no problems with it yesterday and all of the sudden i cant. please help me, im using my mac for all my assignments and cant afford anything new.
I think im running with mac leopard.
When i try to acces the bootcamp menu by holding down alt, it's like my keyboard isnt connected and it goes straight to the mac startup and i can now see the capslock button light (if i activated it)

It's not the keyboard. i've allready tried to change it. also if i turn on the pc without doing anything and letting it open mac as it should, it just freezes with the mac logo. The loading icon still spins though.

If restoring using your backup didn't work, you'll have to save as much of your data as you can (import your photos to your computer, sync your contacts and other data with iCloud, email things like Notes and Voice Memos to yourself, sync with iTunes to transfer all your purchases, etc.) and then restore it as new without using your backup.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're going to have to put the iPad in to recovery mode before you can restore it. The article linked below provides more details about the passcode lock and will walk you through putting the process of restoring from recovery mode.

Use recovery mode
Follow these steps if you never synced your device with iTunes, if you don't have Find My iPhone set up, or if you can't get to your own computer. You'll need to put your device in recovery mode, which will erase the device and its passcode. Then you'll restore your device as new or from a backup.
Disconnect all cables from your device.
Turn off your device.
Press and hold the Home button. While holding the Home button, connect your device to iTunes. If your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode.
Click OK, then restore the device.

Cant hear anything HELP!

I have a 4G nano pod for the last 6 months but i did not use it for the last 3 months. Now I had trouble charging it - folder and exclamation point so i restored it back to its original factory settings. I later uploaded a playlist but I cant hear anything. I tested my ear phones and they are fine. What am I doing wrong?

I tried restoring my nano today and this is what happens - i cant figure out if its normal or not. 1) I run the latest update, hit restore and the apple logo with the progress bar appears 2)The restore process seems to have been completed. but instead of # After the restore is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time# i see a Do Not Disconnect sign although I am pretty sure I dont need to charge the nano again. I have done so for the past 3 days. This sign lingers on..........
What are my options?
