Help! Cant connect to internet ?Was able to in US but not back in UK !
Bought my macbook air in US and connected fine there but im struggling to connect here. I am on cable broadband here(virgin)and i cant get it to recognise my wirelss router connection even though my imac does and my iphone also.
How do i fix this?
I deleted the previous wireless connection i was using but i dont know how to set a new one up myself. When it asks for all the data etc..i really dont have a clue and i dont want to mess with it.
Is there anyway to restore the settings back to as new? i have hardly done anything with it anyway so its not like i will lose anything important.
I bought this mainly for my hubby and he is annoyed at me for not having "HIS"(its really "ours")computer connected for him, he is even more clueless than me with these things so i canny let him loose.
ANYONE PLEASE HELP ??!!!

Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings. -
I payed for my creative cloud membership at 9.99/mo. I got it this morning. I was able to download Lr, but not able to download Ps. is asking me to pay again. Why is that, because I got the student packet deal. Can you please help.

I understand there have been outages. I was unable to sign into iTunes but within the last 5 minutes I was able to sign in- but not download apps. Has anyone else seen improvements in regards to the outages?
Yeah...in United States...everything is back up...but still a little creaky and slow.

I had deleted some awful parental control software that had installed with my Wifi/broadband box on my son's new computer. I am sending this from mine so settings are a bit different. IE 8 64 bit works fine, but niehter firefox or IE8 32 bit will loada any website. Help, my son is not happy with his dad!
If there are problems with importing the IE Favorites in Firefox then export the favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.
If you do not have the menu bar in IE then right-click the toolbar at the top to enable the Menu Bar.

Here goes...
1) I have a Macbook 2.2ghz (early 2008) running Leopard 10.5.8 which wont auto update (says it cant connect to internet even though it is - error says A networking error has occurred: timed out (-1001). Make sure you can connect to the Internet, then try again.) Network diagnostcs says that im connected to the intermet.
2) Also safari and chrome take ages to load pages when every time I open them (around 45 seconds) and then when they are running safari will randomly close and chrome will come up with the aw snap message for random pages (doesnt matter if its trying to loas flash or not).
Iv got Sophos anti virus which is saying theres no malware or viruses, also tried restartiing, re downloading chrome, deleteing my profile from chrome, exporting, deleting and then importing bookmarks and hardwiring the latop to the router. None of these fixed the issues.
Never had these issues and they are really getting on my nerves! Any help would be appreciated.Thanks but just tried and does nothing, i read somewhere it could be to do with proxy settings? even though though i havnt changed them?? couldnt work out how to do it on a mac, could this be the problem?

Time capsule cant connect to internet
My Time capsule has recently stopped working (yellow flashing light) when it cant assign an ip address. I checked Airport utilities and now it has no ip address and cant find dns server. The problem with losing ip address has happened before and was resolved by restarting the modem. I've tried another router and its fine so my modem is ok. This time my time capsule dont want to work with the modem. Its stuck and cant connect to internet. I've restarted the TC but it didnt help so now Im pretty clueless. Any advice woyld be appreciated.
Ok, when the simple stuff doesn't work you need a lot more analysis.
1. Plug a computer direct to the modem.. does the modem give you internet? (are we talking cable?? what internet?)
Once you clear the modem is working.. then the issue is purely the TC.
2. You didn't make clear if you followed the instructions I gave.. I want you to plug in the TC to a computer by ethernet. Lan port to the computer ethernet. Turn off wireless on the computer.. disconnect all other network connections on the TC. Press and hold reset until the front LED flashes rapidly.
Can you now access the TC?
If not it is likely dead ..
If you can make sure it is in router mode.. plug the modem into the TC wan port.. for cable you will have to power cycle the modem.. this can take a while.. 15min depending on your ISP.
Reboot everything.. and check if the TC has picked up a public IP on wan.. if not it has failed on wan side.
If the TC is dead.. or just as a means of testing.. get another router and plug it in. Substitution is the best test method.
Exactly how old and what model is the TC?
If it is Gen 3, A1355 try leaving it off overnight and restart the next day.. test immediately from cold. They have several board issues.
Or if the TC is newer and you have existing warranty or applecare let apple fix it. -
Hello! I am trying to sync my iPhone 4 to my iTunes. My phone is connected to my computer, (was able to import pics) but I cannot manage my apps or music in iTunes. I ran diagnostics and it says 'no iPhone found'. It then takes me to Apple Support that says:

I recommend that you start with taking a look at the Apple Support article to help you troubleshoot what the issue may be.
If that still doesn't resolve the issue, we will need to get the AirPort icon back on the OS X menu bar to continue. Please try the following:

hi i have a 5800 for few weeks now and internet used to work well.all of a sudden i cant connect anymore,tried different access point including wlan but still wont work and at times it seems to initiate browsing however it immediately stops and then the screen jam or froze.

im not really good @ gadgets but when i first used my 5800 everything seems straight forward.immediately i managed to connect to internet using "contract internet" as access point and with wlan,I only have to key in the WEP code of my linkys and it worked well.over last few days i've been enjoying browsing the internet using different access point.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Safari is not connecting to internet on my iPad. Says "could not open the page becuase the server stopped responding." Everything else that updates over wireless connection is working fine. Get same response on any site I try to visit. Need Help!
