Help!  Cant reduce screen size

I have somehow managed to enlarge the size of all icons and pages on the phone. I have tried pinching, double tapping and restarting the phone to no avail. Because text is so large i am unable to read messages and to get to an icon i have to scroll down the page and keep my fingers crossed that it will stop on the right one. To make calls in am having to use the voice control function.
Does anyone have any ideas that i can try to reduce the font/icon/screen size???
I am trying to restore settings via iTunes but as i am currently in Saudi Arabia the download time is ridiculous!

I did the same thing. I even went to the att store to see if they can fix it. No one could. I looked on these forums and found out how to fix it. Double tap your screen with three fingers. You cant go to setting cause it is soooo large. Its on zoom. Good luck!

How do I "lock in" a reduced screen size (that I made by dragging the screen edges) so that whenever I start FF the reduced screen size always appears?

Make sure that you do not start Firefox maximized.
You can check that in the Properties of the (desktop) shortcut.
Firefox should reopen with the window size with which it was closed the previous time.

  • Help with reducing the size of an image but keeping the quality

    Hello,
I am wondering how do I resize an image but keep the quality. I am creating a folder design for work and I want to include 6 images on the back each of 156px x 118px.
The images I have are slightly different in size but for example sake one of the images that I have is 225px x 158px. The quality is very poor when I reduce the size.
I have tried changing the ppi to 72 and to 300, I have also tried resizing all in one go and in a number of goes and I have tried the bicubic sharpener but I have just had no luck with it.
I am wondering if anyone can help with this,
    Thanks
    Tracy

    Hi Tracy,
    A couple of questions:
I am creating a folder design for work...
So this is printed? How large? Pixels are not a unit-of-measure for print.
If for print, you are looking at ppi of 300 or higher AT PRINT SIZE.
So, say you want a 3in x 4in picture. That would mean your original would have to be at least 900px X 1200px. (ie 300ppi x width, 300 ppi x height)
If your original files are not at least that resolution.. . it is hard to add quality after the fact. Unless your are working with vector art.
I have tried changing the ppi to 72 and to 300, I have also tried resizing all in one go
Be sure to do that on copies of original. Keep in mind the PPI number by itself is completely meaningless. It only has use in describing a to be printed image when combined with the print size.

  • Task bar has zoomed and cant reduce the size

can someone help me with reducing the size of icons on my task bar

    Hi Thomas,
Sorry about the inconvenience, as of today (version 11.0.7) the only way to put a custom value there is using the registry as described in the Adobe Community Help:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/hi-dpi-retina-display-support.html
From users' feedback we might change this very soon.

  • Reduced Screen Size

I have hooked up an ATV2 to a 70inch Mitsubishi DLP and everything is working except that it is shrinking the screen size down quite a bit. Probably to around what would be about 36inches. Any ideas?

ATV2 is not capable of supporting infinite resolutions.
You can only make adjustments on the TV based on input... you are using HDMI, correct?

  • Black margins down each side of my screen, so reduced screen size, can anyone help please?

I have 2 black margins down each side of the viewable sceen, I've tried going in to 'full screen mode' but all tha happens is that I lose my footers and headers, the screen view still remains long and narrow rather that filling the screen top to bottom and sise to side. Can anyone help please?

I think the reason your screen looks like this is because the screen was somehow scaled differently in System Preferences. To fix this open up the System Preferences app and click on "Displays". Next click on "Scaled" and make sure it says "1280 x 800" or the top one in the list so it should look like this:
    Then that's it.
If this doesn't work try restarting your MacBook Pro or resetting the SMC or PRAM.
    Hope this helps,
    - Daniel 

  • Need Help with Reducing PDF Size

Hey I'm having trouble reducing my PDF file sizes.
First off, they were school projects created in Adobe Illustrator that I save to PDF form.
I'm trying to email several of them to potential employers (through Gmail) but the file size limit is 25MB, and some of my files exceed that limit.
For example I have one PDF file that is 72MB.
I've compressed the file by right-clicking on the icon --- I've also reduced the file in Acrobat and that doesn't do anything.
Now I try to reduce the files and Acrobat tells me:
"The PDF document contained image masks that were not downloaded."
So can anyone help me?  I would greatly appreciate this from everyone who has time to comment and give me suggestions/help.
    Thanks.

If you can find when a pictures is loaded (not when it is getting loaded, but after it has just finished being loaded), that is when you can check the size using the Loader (loader.width and loader.height).

  • Reducing screen size

Somehow I have accidently increased the screen image size so I have to scroll around - how do i reduce it to fit all on the one screen?

You enabled zoom. If you are using Mac OS X Snow Leopard, press the Control key and scroll down. Also, you can open System Preferences > Universal Access, and disable zoom

  • How to reduce screen size when selecting images??

I clicked on something wrong today, and my settings have been
screwed up. When I am selecting an image (for example:
Behaviors>Set Nav Bar>Open, the screen that followed (that
held all my images) took up about half the screen. And it was easy
to make this larger or smaller, in the usual grab-a-corner-and-drag
way. Obvious, and easy. But now that I've done something wrong,
this last window takes up my entire 22" screen. There is a grab bar
in the lower-right corner, but it has no effect. In other words,
it's impossible to make this screen smaller. As it is; it's
impossible to use DW effectively. I tried quitting and re-starting
DW. No luck. Tried rebooting the entire computer. Again, no luck.
Tried uninstalling the entire DW programme and re-installing it.
Oddly, even when I did this, it did not reset to its original
settings. The window still opens up and covers the entire screen,
and it's still impossible to shrink this window down. This is true
in "Set Nav Bar Image", "Swap Image," etc..
    Anyone have *any* suggestions??

sounds like you maximized the page interface. just select the
square box in windows, or the green + button in mac osx. It's going
to save your preferences, so restarting isn't going to do it. And
good grief, don't reinstall the program. See if resizing the
    interface helps.

  • Cant Reduce the Size of Temp DB in production , though the free space is 95%

    Hi,
In my production environment , the TempDb is consuming around 30 GB, where i can see the free space is around 95%.
I tried to shrink and end up with no results. I Canot go with Restarting the services, since its production server. So i have to ignore the same.
I even tried to clear cache, buffer by using below Queries.  but again didnt work out.
    DBCC FREEPROCCACHE -- clean cache
    DBCC DROPCLEANBUFFERS -- clean buffers
DBCC FREESYSTEMCACHE ('ALL') -- clean system cache
DBCC FREESESSIONCACHE -- clean session cache
    DBCC SHRINKDATABASE(tempdb, 10); -- shrink tempdb
dbcc shrinkfile ('tempdev') -- shrink db file
dbcc shrinkfile ('templog') -- shrink log file
I can see around few TempTables alive in tempdb, but those are very very small in size. I am not sure why this is not coming down. Can you please help me to suggest on the same.

  • How to reduce the size of Input Schedule (Excel Template)

    Hi,
I am preparing Static Input Schedule (Due to complexity, I am unable to use EvDRE). Due to many EvSND's and Formulas used in the template, the file size is almost more than 10 MB.
So it takes a lot of time while opening the template. So is there any way to reduce the size of the excel file (Input Schedule template).

Here are some suggestions on ways to reduce the size of your static input template, which sounds to be rather large.  Please note that these suggestions are not in any order with regards to being the most effective in reducing the template, but overall should help in reducing the size.
    -  Make the EvSNDS as dynamic as possible.  Even though it is a static template, try not to use an EvSND formula which contains a reference to each dimension you are loading to.  I'm not sure how many dimensions you have in you application, but if you are referencing 12 dimensions in each EvSND, and you have thousands of EvSNDS, that takes alot of size.  So, if you are doing this, see if there is any commonality with any dimension with the input schedule and hardcode that dimension's member in the control panel.  For example, if all the evsnds are going to the same Category (i.e. BUDGET), you do not need to reference the cell with memberid BUDGET in each evsnd cell, but instead be sure it is set in the Control Panel of the Template correctly.
    - Only have base level members in the input template.  Many input templates are built so that after the data is sent, the summary level (or parent level members), are retrieved in the template so users can see summarized results after a send.  If possible, build the report with base level members only, and build a report to view summarized report.
    - Keep the number of Woksheets in the template to a minimum.
    - Make the layout of the report as simple as possible.  Try to keep the Conditional Formatting to a minimum.
    - With regards to the formulas in the template which you mention, I'm not sure if you are referring to Excel calculation formulas, or something else, however you do want to keep the use of formulas to a minimum.
    I hope this information helps.

  • When i use pogo, on the risk game for instance, when i click on a game room, a window pops up and immdediately reduces in size, this size only shows part of the battle screen; i have tried resetting the zoom feature, no luck.

i have seen this before on my home PC (on a lap top now) it is impossible for me to correct so i have to use IE to play pogo (i dont like IE it is slower) i click on a game, i go to a game room, and a window normally pops up showing the tables. normally i click on a seat and it takes me to a new window and the game board. NOW, when this first window pops up, it is aboout 1/4 size of my screen, but immediately reduces in size to about 1/6 of my screen. wnen the game loads, i cannot view the whole screen only part of the screen, as if it is zoomed in. I tried your suggestion and reset the zoom, no help.... i changed the zoom level manally.... no help.
this also happens in scrabble and most other games. it is related to the java i am sure, but it only happens on firefox. How do i correct this. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled firefox. i have had this happen on the older version of firefox. it happens on multiple computers so it isnt just one computer.
    HELP!!!!!
    please

I should have explained further. The game opens in a new window over to the upper left of my screen, leaving the original page underneath. I tried minimizing it so that I could get to my toolbar and did the View > Zoom > Reset. This has no effect. The lower portion of the game is still not showing. Using other browsers the window or frame of the game is much larger, therefore everything shows.

  • Screen Size reduced

Have just switched my Ipod on and have noticed the screen size has reduce all the way around the outside by about 2 or 3mm. It used to fill the complete LCD display. Anyone know why this is and how it can be fixed?

    hiya!
this is a longshot. by any chance, are the affected videos DV format videos that were converted using QT Pro? if so, perhaps check on this possibility:
QuickTime Pro: DV format movies may require adjustment for iPod
otherwise, it might be worth checking to see if it's all files that are showing up funny, or just some of them. the sample files and techniques in this document might be helpful with that:
