Help! cat verify disk when burning cd with graphics

I have a big problem. I do graphics, and I got graphics stuck in my comuter and angry impatient customers. I cant get my burner to work. It goes threw the burning process, but when its time to verify disk it spits it out. It gives an error message (error -3) cant verify disk. And after I put back the disk, It says I've inserted a disk volume OSX cant read. I've tried every thing, I got Toast so I can lower burn speed, I formated my disk , repaired permissions, repaired disk using startup disk, used software restorer.
I've been in front of this computer for two days. I might die in front of this computer if I get no help.
I've been up and down this forum looking for the answer, no luck. It seems that I'm not the only one that has incountered this problem.
If the fact is that macs just s@#k, and cant burn a simple disk, than some one (please) just tell me. So I can proceed to my final plan, which is to throw this piece ...
... out the window!

Have you tried a CD lens cleaner? (Burned discs are more sensitive to read errors during verify than are pressed discs.)
Have you tried a different batch of blank CD-R discs? (Manufacturers have been known to turn out bad bundles, and the dye layer in discs can degrade while sitting around waiting to be used, so that discs at the bottom of a previously known-good bundle can go bad.)

  • When burning iso with disk utility, the audio is off!

I have an ISO file that works fine when I mount it or watch it on VLC.   If I burn it using windows (in parallels) it is fine...
But when I burn it with disk utility, the audio is off by a second or so.  I can't figure this out since it is a disk image.  there shouldn't be a way to dissociate the audio.  I did have a previous version of the iso file that was off..  Is it possible that I am trying to burn an iso file and it is burning a mounted version from before (even though I am choosing this from the finder?)
    Any thoughts or suggestions?
I though macs just work.  Seems a bit more complicated.

I don't recall for sure about "disk utility" and DVD and/or Bluray. It seems to me that Toast is usually used.

  • "This disc could not be verified" error when burning CDs

Every time I try to run the CD Burner, the disk seems to finalize then I get this error message:
*This disc could not be verified and might be unreliable. Try again using a new, blank disc. (Error code 0x80020063).*
I have tried with many blank disks and different data (text files, music files, etc). The CDs I am using are blank Memorex CD-RWs.

What can I do to get my CD burner working?

All good suggestions...thanks to all of you weighing in. I have had no issues buring DVDs or CDs (7 months) until this week and am a bit puzzled. Since this verify issue popped up, I've tried buring data from various sources and had some success. As such, I suspect it's not a hardware problem.
I was able to review 1500 JPEGS burned to 1 DVD one-by-one until I found the single file that was an issue. I did this on an XP machine and got a 'cyclic redundancy' error which leads me to believe that I've got a software problem tied to a recent update.
That file is not corrupted at the source and can be copied individually without issue. I've varied burn speeds, media types, file types and data sources and have not been able to identify why 3 of 11 have worked.
The first DVD I burned using dic utility at 4x worked. I felt good that I had a workaround to burning via finder but 3 subsequent attempts with disc utility have failed, too.

  • Disk Utility burn error with dmg file

I'm using a Pioneer DVR 106D to burn a dmg file on to a blank DVD. I've done it many times before with the disk utility.
But now I'm getting this message when I try to burn the dmg or make a new image off the old DVD master:
"Device drained its buffer without burn underrun protection"
Can anyone please tell me how I can fix this problem?
    Thanks
    OS 10.3.9

I have encountered the same problem. I have a Mac Book Pro from 2007, and it has gone through 3 DVD writers so far, all of which have ruined DVD+R DL disks. I have occasionally been able to burn one, but usually during verify, I get this error message:
Communication to the disk drive failed: 0x8002022
And disk utility fails with a "Invalid B-tree node size" error
Oddly, when I try to burn a disk near capacity (6.5Gb or more) it is more likely to fail than if I burn a smaller disk.
I've been using Memorex DVD+R DL disks, but I have used other brands in the past but they have failed, too. Out of about 50 disks so far, I have had success with about 5.

  • Error message when burning HD with iDVD

When i try to burn a HD movie directly from iMovieHD( v. 5,02) with iDVD( v. 5.0.1), i get an error message code OX8002006D, followed by another:
"Burning Finished.---errors were found during burning process."
and "there was a problem during multiplexing/burning"
and the disk is ejected blank.
With a Standard Definition movie, using the same DVD-R or DVD+R disks(4X) and same procedure, i have no problem. The movie was only about 2 minutes long with about 19 GB available.
Anybody out there who knows what's wrong?

There are a bunch of folders within your home folder, you may want to decide what exactly you want to back up or not.
Besides your personal folders (Desktop, Documents, Movies, Music, Pictures), you may want to decide whether you need to back up the library folder. The library folder generally contains preferences for most of your applications, and also caches and applications support files. These can become really big in some cases (Mine is more than 8GB, will not fit on a dual layer DVD). And the Library>Caches folder contains temporary files that will change from time to time, this might be the cause of your previous error since the shortcut is no longer valid.
Once you chose your files and make sure they will fit on your blank CD/DVD, you can just do what you did before, drag the folders to a Burn folder, make sure you are not running any other apps, so they won't be modifying the files.
There are programs you can use to backup to CD/DVD, Disc burner like Toast will span across several discs if the data does not fit on one. For a more automated solution, Carbon Copy Cloner (http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html) can backup to disc images which you can then burn to discs. I personally don't know a lot backup programs that provide good support for CD/DVDs, so I'll leave this to other folks.
If you are going to backup regularly, I would recommend spending some money on an external drive. You can find quite a few free software for automated backup and saves money and time on burning CD/DVDs. Plus you have the advantage of being able to boot from the external drive should anything bad happened to your internal one.

  • Internal software error: .\vobulator\titleplanner\cgopgrouper.cpp, line 401 when burning DVD with sl

I am burning a DVD that has 10 slideshows. Each slideshow is treated as a chapter. I have burned DVDs in the past using this method with no problems. Now, with this project I get the following.
internal software error: .\vobulator\titleplanner\cgopgrouper.cpp, line 401

This error came up again (the first time i had to rebuild), and i figured out that it had to do with a clip i had in a timeline that needed trimming, and would not butt up cleanly to the preceeding clip. i am assuming that the chapter point i inserted did not fall on a GOP, and generated this error.
when i took that clip out of the timeline and put it in it's own seperate timeline, the disc burned with no problem.
hope this help someone else skip the frustration i had.

  • Unable to verify disc when burning

Recently, when I try to make a compilation disc of my own ripped music it goes through the process and at the last moment says, "unable to verify disc. This disc will be unreliable and should not be used".
I don't seem to be able to burn dics anymore. I have preferences set to Audio CD and Aple Lossless format.
I have installed itunes 7.02 recently.
    Thnaks.

it goes through the process and at the last moment says, "unable to verify disc. This disc will be unreliable and should not be used".
could you post your DVD/CD diagnostics for us? in itunes, go "help > run diagnostics", select DVD/CD diagnostics, and paste the complete results into a reply.

Any idea why?  If I trun graphic location off, it works fine.
The code I'm using to pull image is:
    sapserver\B1_SHR\Bitmaps\Versailles\" & {RSM_Inventory_Images;1.PicturName}
    Thanks.

Through  Startu2014Run are you able to view the image by choosing the following path ?
    sapserver\B1_SHR\Bitmaps\Versailles\" & {RSM_Inventory_Images;1.PicturName}
Also try to insert any image which is on your local hard drive and try.  I think this is because, CR is unable to access the images which are on UNC.

  • Itunes freezes when burning CDs

Similar post to others here. Since upgrade to IT 6, Itunes freezes when trying to burn some CDs. IT shows as "not-responding" in task manager. Seems to happen when burning CDs with newly downloaded tracks, perhaps in combination with imported tracks. I've tried several suggestions posted here.

    first let's try a
    b repair install.
go to your add/remove programs, select itunes, click "change/remove" and then select "repair".
if no joy with that, let's try working through some of the other usual suspects:

    Hi alexandros.c;
If after doing what Michael suggested you are still not able to repair your disk, you may need a more powerful such as DiskWarrior to repair it I have found that when the the disk has problems that the tools within OS X are unable to repair then DW usual does it.
If DW is not able to do it for you about the only other alternative is to reformat and start over again.
You should have a good backup before doing either of these solutions to protect yourself.

Boot from the original Install disc that came with the computer and then format the drive Mac OS Extended (Journaled) using the GUID partition. Then  you can re-install OS X. If you no longer have the original media call AppleCare with the serial number of the machine (look on the bottom of the stand) and for a nominal fee they will ship you replacement media.
The chances are very good you will have fan problems if you used an off-the-shelf HD, beginning in 2009 Apple began using HD's from vendors that incorporated heat sensors into the HD. If you did not buy the same type of HD your computer will think the HD is overheating causing the fans to run at full speed.
