HELP! Changing Standalone to OD Master has locked out ALL accounts

In the course of attempting to get iCal server running on my Leopard Server install, I changed the OD role from Standalone to OD Client, pointed to a 10.4.11 OD Master running on the LAN.
When I discovered that 10.4 will not allow the "Enable Calendaring" option via WGM, I changed the iCal/Web/Mail server to OD Master, setup a directory admin, via the assistant, and then attempted to login via WGM.
WGM said something to the effect that I wasn't authorized on the server, using the OD admin user/pass. So, I tried my locally created admin, which also was rejected. Then, I tried using ARD, which now was showing "Access Denied" in the computer list.
I physically accessed the machine, where WGM and Server Admin were rejecting my logins, local and OD Admin. I restarted and the machine came up to the login window, rather than using the auto-login account that is necessitated by my backup software and DNS update. Trying all the local admin login/passes failed, as did the local standard accounts. The only successful login was via root, which isn't making me feel very good.
Logged in as root, I re-selected standalone and restarted, with no positive results. As root, I can see all the local users in WGM, but I cannot change their passwords, I get:
In order to set the password of a a user with an Open Directory Password, your own password type must be Open Directory. Administrators with other password types cannot set the password of a user with an Open Directory password.-- (That's from the 501 user.)
All of my locally-created users show User Password Type(s) of : Open Directory (greyed out) and I cannot change them to Shadow Passwords. I get an "Unexpected Error" that reads: Error of type eDSAuthMethodNotSupported (-14091) on line 2138 of /SourceCache/WorkgroupManager/WorkgroupManager-319.1.1/Plugins/UserAccounts/Use rAdvancedPluginView.mm That location doesn't exist on the drive.
The accounts pane does not allow me to reset the passwords of the users.
The server is running 10.5.4 Intel, upgraded from 10.4.11 PPC (I know, I should have known better, but...) a few months back, without any issues. The users were all created prior to the update (in some cases, prior to 10.4).
I've tried deleting one user, a mail-only account, without a home folder, which resulted in losing the IMAP store. (Ugh. Thankfully, I religiously back-up.) I tried the instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1543?viewlocale=en_US (found via: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1620296&tstart=45 ) which seems to have changed the user's password from OD to Shadow, but I've not had the chance to restart, as I'm in the middle of restoring the latest incremental backup to a bootable volume. I did try logging in via the terminal with that user and got: PAM Error (line 396): Cannot make/remove an entry for the specified session
Don't worry... that dull, repetitive Thunck! sound is just me hitting my head on the desk over and over, while DataBackup writes to a spare drive. Any suggestions in the meantime?

Probably a stupid suggestion, but open Directory access (can't remember if they changed the name now... I'm sitting at home) and check to see if the server is still bound to the OD master (from when you pointed it there in step 1).
There are some 'interesting' features when running 10.4 OD and touching it with a 10.5 server/util; I learnt the hard way!
Personally, I would ensure your backup is functioning, do a image of the server HD and reinstall 10.5 server from scratch. It should also rid you of any 10.4->10.5 upgrade bugs which may be lurking in the background...

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

OS Installer Packages do not point to "images". They point to the complete set of source files including the directory structure from the media.
Is there a specific reason you are using OS Installer packages though? In general, there is no reason to use them anymore (unless you are actually still deploying XP).

I'm at wits end...BRAND NEW HP pavilion preloaded wit windows 8.1. Purchased a separate full version of Office 2012 Home and Business...downloaded it..loaded ...ran it....it runs fine ..UNTIL maintenance or other updates come through....then I receive

My only fix has been to recover to a date BEFORE the updates or maintenance..and this works..UNTIL the updates or maintenance install....then it's Groundhog day all over again.
I have tried all the suggested fixes I have found..NONE work..NONE!! And pray tell how you can get into advanced options or any other portion of the programs to turn off the DDE when you cant access the programs or initialize them at all!!!??

Note: Before doing the following steps, please make a backup of your registry first.

You need to find and delete (move to the Trash) the offline mail cache (.offline cache.) It's a hidden folder (files and folders with a preceding dot are hidden) inside the Mail folder (inside IMAP) in your user library. Since it's hidden, in order to see it run the following command in Terminal in Applications>Utilities. Hit return/enter once you have pasted in the command.
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool true ; killall Finder
To reverse this and hide all those hidden files and folders again
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool false ; killall Finder
Leave hidden files/folders enabled until you finish emptying the Trash so you know it's gone.

Passcode changed from alpha to numeric now locked out

My daughter was changing the passcode on her itouch from an alpha code to numeric and when she went to type in the new code, it asked for the old code first, however...it already had switched to a numeric screen and her old passcode was an alpha code. Now she is locked out and can't access her itouch. Is there anyway to gain access to the itouch without restoring it and losing all the data? I've been waiting to re-activate my old cell (via Assurion Insurance/Verizon) as I expected there would be usage & I'd be responsible. However, tomorrow I plan to notify the insurer for Verizon as no calls have appeared as charges. Not "IT" savy, however; I suspect that whomever has my former cell; replaced my sims card & activated it under their personal #. My basis for that contention is I regularly used a minimum of 7 e-mail accounts in addition to approximately 100+ miscellaneous password associated accounts and I am bounced & locked out of each & every one. However, yesterday & today I found two exceptions to accessing "iTunes" & iCloud, albeit I've yet to be able to use iCloud except to see several messages from former email accounts sending me multiple notifications that my email account passwords were changed. Problem is I tried to respond regarding comprimised password & found that despite including that address as an alternate contact; the email bounced back stating something to the effect that since I'm not using the ios from whence same email address originated; messages cannot be sent? Any simple sequential steps anyone can suggest to retrieve all the data I've accumulated since 2001 when I switched to a Verizon Cell would be greatly appreciated. FYI: Beware & exercise caution w/ respect to using security features; backup everything regularly...I didn't. OK, restart your computer, hold down Command-s and type in the following:
/sbin/fsck -fy Enter
/sbin/mount -uaw Enter
rm /var/db/.applesetupdone Enter
reboot Enter
Once you've done that the computer reboots and it's like the first time you used the machine. Your old accounts are all safe. From there you just change all other account passwords in the account preferences!! (if it works at all)

Locked out of account

My wife <Redacted for privacy> has been locked out of her account. First the password (checked as correct) was not accepted. Then we asked for a password reset, which was received and used. The new password that we entered then wouldn't allow her to log in. This we tried 3 times and now the account is supended.
Now what? If we rety after 24 hours (up in about 8 hours) we - presumably - will get into the same loop.
Help please

Locked out all users

I changed the values of some of the mandatory attributes of the root dn under which users were defined and this has caused all users except orcladmin to be locked out. When I try to add new users, it gives me the error -
Not willing to perform because of one of these reasons
1. OID is slow
2. OID is down
3. not enough privileges
Is there a way to restore the users login?

do is if you have a backup of your ASDB
you should be able to do a restore of that
back to before you changed things...

ECC6 - Invoice Cancellation has not reversed all accounting documents.

An Vendor Invoice was created in P12 2008 which has generated 2 accounting documents, one relating to the invoice in year 2008 and another in 2009 for revaluations.
An Invoice Cancellation was then entered in MR8M which has only reversed the accounting document for 2008.
I cannot reverse the 2009 accounting document separately because it relates to a PO, and I cannot re-cancel the invoice in 2009 because it is a 2008 document.
Before I log this as a product problem, can anyone offer advice on how to proceed?
