Help Contacts trf, ringtone, sending picture messages

Hi just got my iphone - its unlocked and i have inserted my o2 sim card. I have a few questions
1. How do I import my sim contacts
2. how do i send a photo message
3 how do i get another ringtone. ie on nokia you could download a song and use it as your ringtone.
Please please help its driving me mad

1. How do I import my sim contacts
The iPhone does not store contacts on the SIM card so does not include an option to import/transfer contacts from a SIM card to the iPhone or vice-versa. The iPhone sold in the U.S. is not intended to be unlocked so ships with a new SIM card and contacts are transferred to the iPhone from Apple's Address Book application on your Mac via the iTunes sync process.
None of the contacts stored on this SIM card are available in the Address Book application on your Mac and/or you have never synced your former cell phone with the Address Book?
2. how do i send a photo message
The iPhone does not support MMS - SMS only. Sending a photo is done via email.
3 how do i get another ringtone. ie on nokia you could download a song and use it as your ringtone.
You can do so via iTunes. If there is a song you have already purchased from the iTunes Music Store which has also been licensed to be used as a ringtone, you can create your own up to 30 second clip of any portion of the song to be used as your ringtone for an additional fee - the same fee charged for the original song.
If you want free/illegal ringtones and your iPhone is not running the 1.1.1 version, you can use a hack for doing so which shouldn't be a problem for you.
Apparently you didn't do much if any homework regarding the iPhone's features and capabilities before purchasing an unlocked iPhone or purchasing the unlock mechanism used which voided the warranty and will make it more difficult to obtain support.

double check that you have MMS turn ON.
if the link doesn't help, then contact your cell phone provider as MMS is a carrier feature.

My iPhone won't let me send picture messages except to one person

Recently I noticed that I can only send picture messages to one person. My iMessage setting is turned on, I have shut my phone off and then back on and it will still only let me send pictures to one person. Can anyone help?

You need to contact ur operator and ask them to send u MMS & wap and internet settings (Or only MMS), u'll most probably get them via configuration sms, open it, go to options and select "save" phone will ask if to set it as default, select yes. that's it. Try to send Picture message.

Wont le tme send picture messages

Hi have the Blackberry curve and it will not send picture messages anymore. It used to work fine. When I try to send it looks like its sending... but then does nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

So you never see the red X appear next to the MMS message?
It just continues to try to send?

I have an iphone 3gs and i cant get it to send picture messages to anyone without an iphone? i already checked to make sure my sms setting is on and it is.

I just bought a used iphone 3gs, (very new to the smart phone thing), and i set the phone up as a straight talk phone. I can send picture messages to other iphones but not to anyone else? I already made sure that my sms setting is on and it is, so is my imessage , mms and group message. anyone with any advise would be greatly appreciated

More than likely the problem is with the provider. You will need to check with them to find out what settings need to be on the phone to support MMS. You need to contact Straight Talk. SMS and MMS are carrier functions. The only settings on the phone are the ones you have mentioned, with the exception of APN settings, which are generally taken care of by the phone's carrier settings. I'm not aware of a carrier file for Straight Talk.

Droid 4 not sending picture messages

All day I have had problems with my Droid 4 not sending picture messages. I can recieve them, but not send. Regular text messages go through fine. I've had a 3G signal all day, although the mobile web does seem to be running a bit slow. I just got this phone 5 days ago, and have had nothing but problems with it ever since. I had to get a new sim card the very first day.
I live in central Ohio, was just wondering if anyone else was having problems, or knew of a solution

Go in to Settings--Apps--Manage Apps Click on ALL, Find the "MESSAGING" app and open. When you are in MESSAGING, click DISABLE or FORCE STOP. Next, click CLEAR DATA. (a warning will tell you that you will loose all your data and messages, click OK.(all of my messages were saved)). Now, click ENABLE if you dont have the enable button just exit out. Then either (1)Exit to the home screen, go into the APPs manager (white circle with 6 dots) and find the MESSAGING icon. press, hold and drag it back to you home sceen. Or your Message icon will still be there and it will just reenable on its own, just go and try to send your pic and it should work.
Did for me, did for my brother. Hope I've helped, and hopfully this is a permenant fix. I've been sending more pictures now a day later and it still works.

Brand new LG G2 and unable to send picture messages?

i was able to send picture messages until two days ago. Now I am unable too. Is there anything I can do to be able to send pictures again?

I was told by a service tech that this is a known problem with the LG G2. It apparently was caused by a google update and they aren't correcting it till September, by apparently doing another update.. I am on my 2nd LG G2 phone. My 1st one worked for3 months and started not sending pics or receiving pics with messages. The 2nd one worked for 3 days before it started doing the same thing. I did everything they told me to do plus a hard reset which I did several times and only works for 3 days. And who wants to reset their phone every 3 days. My phone also will only let me open a few emails before I get a "failed" "server not responding", try again later. Have no idea if that is connected with the pic text messages or not, but it is annoying. If google can not get the issue corrected then I understand they will issue new phones. I really don't understand how everything is connected and if someone can explain it further I'd like to hear. Hope this helps.

Cant send picture messages on iphone 4

i recently purchased a 8gb iphone 4 and up untill a week ago it has been fine but recently on texts i havent been able to send picture messages i can send normal texts and i can resive picture messages its just every time i go to send one it stops sending on the bar at the top and a sighn has appeared i have looked around the internet and i cant find how to solve this problem

Hi my iPhone 5 won't send picture messages any ideas ? I've tried turning wifi off still won't send , turning the phone off and on same again Wong send ....... Can anybody help ? Thanks

not sure what carrier you are using but i use straighttalk and had same issue....here is how i resolved it
1. delete any profiles you have saved settings>general>profile delete if you see profile there if not go to step 2
2. turn on wifi (my internet was also not working)
3. open safari
4. type iapnupdatetfdata.straighttalk.com
5. download profile
6. turn off wifi
7. turn off phone
8. turn on phone
my internet and pictures worked after this, any user, any carrier, no issues....hope this is helpful!

I've activated the data and can send/recieve text messages, but cannot send picture messages.
I already called the net10 hotline, and they told me to contact you the manufacturer for assistance.

Phone won't send picture messages

I had trouble sending picture messages..... it'll say "sending" for an hour then later says it failed. I read the forums and I tried putting the phone on safe mode and when I did that, it worked and sent the picture right away. what does that mean? I cant get out of safe mode ever then?? help..

Rebooting the phone automatically starts it in normal mode even if you had it in safe mode prior.
