Help copy a song

hi Can some one tell me how can I copy a song that I bought from itunes store to my son´s PSP? The file it´s locked and the PSP does not recognizes it

Ipod will only Copy 3 songs at a time

After the upgrade to firmware 1.2.2 and iTunes 7.5, my iPod has been somewhat, how should I say, unusable. After 10 restores, trying out 5 usb ports on 2 PC's, 2 cables, a Windows Check Disk, a Command Prompt Check Disk and restoring my firmware back to 1.2.1, I have finally gotten the iPod to show up on my PC and store music. However, it will not sync. I have tried to copy the songs over manually, but I can only do 3 at a time. If I try to do more than 3, I get error (Unknown Error [-69]).
There's no problems with actual song files because when I get this error I can then (individually) move over that very song it just failed on with no problems. So, it seems that I can't move more than 3 songs at a time. I have 11,000 songs to move over. Since the upgrade problems and subsequent restore wiped out my iPod, this would be an extremely tedious problem. Could it be the port on my iPod itself?
The Apple store is far from me and you have to make an appt way in advance. It's usually a nut-house in there. They told me to buy a new one. I couldn't believe my ears!!!! It's only 1 1/2 years old, and yes, out of warranty of course. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Win XP SP2 is running with all updates and I did try to reinstall/update all of my USB port drivers.

I forgot to add that I am currently running iTunes 6 (which was on the disc that the iPod came with) after completely uninstalling iTunes, Quicktime, iApple Mobile and Apple Software installs from Add/Remove Programs. I even use Windows Cleanup Utility to clean up the registry, but wasn't needed.
I'm a tech and I've put in at least 8 hours of time just to get to this point. And to think I blatantly announced to all of my PC tech buddies that this is the last PC I was going to own. I was intending to go all MAC from this point forward, but now I am not quite sure.

It's about time i posted something about my problem because i've searched everywhere and I did not get the answer i wanted.
When i try to put a song (Drag and Drop) from my Library to my Iphone, the message "iTunes could not copy "insert song" to the iphone "insert name of iphone" because the file could not be read" shows up. I have no idea how to fix this, I haven't seen apple answer to a single one of these threads either.
I've only seen users try to answer this question.
Anyways, when i put the songs on my Iphone, it is also grayed out. There is also a dotted circle (symbol) beside the checkmark of the song.
I've tried creating a AAC version of all the songs already. No luck

Two possibilities come to mind.
Check your source hard drive for errors, right-click on the drive holding the library, click Properties, tools, check for errors, scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors...
Or...
Repair Security Permissions
Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and SYSTEM full control of this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.
If it won't let you change the permissions use the Owner tab to take ownership from an account with administrator privileges.

My iPod won't copy a song because it says the file can not be converted. what do I do to fix this?

I just bought a new song on iTunes, and when I go to sync my iPod, it says it's copying the song, and then a box pops up that says

Have the same problem since the last 2 updates of Itunes.
I think it doesn't have anything to do with the Ipod, because Itunes can't "Convert" or "Create ALAC" from the files that are creating the problem.
Also, when you delete every library files and re-import your .ALAC, it's not always the same files that are generating this problem.
Starting to feel like stupid to have re-imported almost all my CDs into .ALAC (a proprietary file type depending on Itunes) instead of importing them to open source FLAC ....
The idea was that Ipod convert anything to 256kbps seemed like a good idea ...

I copied all songs to an extern HD. how do i get itunes to find them there?

hello! i have a big problem. my local HD is full of mp3s. so my system isn't working very well. so i copied all songs to an extern HD. But when i delete the songs from the local HD itunes doesn't find them anymore. so how do i get itunes to take the songs from the extern and no longer from the local HD?

This article in the Apple Knowledge Base describes how to move your iTunes Library to a different location.
The best thing to do ... if possible ... would be to go back to your original set-up and then follow those instructions. It's success will depend on whether you still have the original iTunes Library files .
If that's not possible, you can follow the instructions in the Add to Library section of this KB article . iTunes will recognize the files on your external drive but will not maintain any of your playlists or related information.

Can't delete, cut, or copy a song onto my iPhone 4S from charging it onto iTunes

When I have a song on my phone and I want 2 delete it on iTunes I can't delete, cut, or copy that song and also the "get info" button has the info in grey. When I delete a song on my phone, the song on iTunes will have an "!" Sign beside it after clicking the deleted song on my phone. PLEASSEEE HELPPP!!! It's been like this for a longgg while.

The best way to ensure the content gets removed from your iPhone is to back it up and then Erase All Content and Settings. See the article belows below for more info:

You can remove all settings and information from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using "Erase All Content and Settings" in Settings > General > Reset.

Can I copy a song then change the settings?

After copying a song from one playlist to another, is there a way to make iTunes think it's a different song? I want to change some equalization settings on the copy but not the original.

Im having the same problem, but on a Mac. It seemed to me it would be easy enough to make a copy of a song so can edit the duplicate, but I just could not do it.
I tried putting it on my desktop and changing the name, adding it to my library again assuming it would import it like a new song but it did not.
I looked for some sort of "duplicate song" option but did not find one, also tried copy-paste but that did not work (dont know what that copy is for!).
Hope someone could help.

Bare in mind that Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the same music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.

As for you own music, you may have to use a third party software. A good Free one is called Sharepod which you can download from Download.com here:

I can't copy certain songs from my iTunes library to my iPhone despite repeated attempts. These are songs I copied way back when from CDs onto my computer. I can play them on my computer just fine in iTunes too. Status bar says "Updating files" and "Preparing to Copy" but nothing actually copies to my phone. My phone shows the songs greyed out and circles to the left of the song in the Store column and the songs never get copied onto my phone.
My guess is that there is something I am missing or something I am doing wrong.
Any advice/help is appreciated.

Do you happen to have more than one Apple ID? If you've authorised your computer using the one you're signed into then the most likely cause is that the iTunes purchases were made on another Apple ID.
To check you bought them on the Apple ID you're signed into, you can go into iTunes, click on Store and View My Account. From there you should have a Purchase History option where you can check the songs were bought on that account.
If you have another Apple ID then try to sign into that one (sign out of current one and into new one under Store in iTunes), then Transfer Purchases again and you should have no issues.

I fixed this issue (with help from tech support) and it involved several things.
After adding a song to iTunes, right-click on the song in iTunes and select "Update iTunes Match."
OR go to the iTunes menu-->Store-->Update iTunes Match.
Maybe that's the reason, it just hadn't updated to the cloud.
OR maybe it's not a high-enough bitrate file. This happens to me because most of my tunes are home-recorded.
Sometimes converting to .mp3 or Create AAC version might work. (You do this with a right-click in iTunes, and then you will want to remove the original file from iTunes.)
There is an iTunes Preferences setting, under General Preferences called Import Settings. Try setting it to AAC Encoder and iTunes Plus. That (I think) causes imports to be slightly better quality.

I am experiencing trouble with my iPhone. I have to reinstalled my Windows 7 OS due to some trouble. When I reinstalled everything include iTunes back, it can not automatically back up my iPhone to iTunes like it used to. Also, I can not copy any songs and/or videos from iTunes to my iPhone. Fortunately, the application can be restored thanks to the new iTunes version.
Does anyone know how could I restore all my previous services I got before the reinstallation? Help!!

Today I bought some songs from another website on my computer, but I couldn't find them in the "my music" folders, I signed on to itunes and found them there. I checked, and my preferences for that site hadn't been changed; how can I copy those songs back into windows? Itunes copied my entire library from my computer...

I'm replying to myself:
I figured this out; just go to the itunes folder, open it, and then move the song, or album, into that artist's folder in "my music." I thought about doing this, then I read the cautions about renaming, or moving, tracks and hesitated. It worked just fine.
