Help Creating OM Infotype

Hi Experts,
I've some doubts while creating OM infotype. I've been reading this manual http://www.sappro.com/downloads/jan07/OMinfotypes.pdf
but, when I try to create the HRIXXX structure and save it I received an error from the package "Customer Object TABL HIRXXX cannot be assigned to package XXXX"
Can anybody help me? I'm not quite sure if this is problem for the package or for the table's naming convention. Please, can anybody tell me if the documents is still correct?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Rebeca

Hi Rebeca,
Is the name of the table HIRXXX or HRIXXXX - Should be the later one.

    Hi Dusan,
    perhaps the following steps will help you.
    1. calls se11
    2. mark radiobutton in front of Data type
    3. fill data type with HRI9003
    4. goto menu [Utilities] and select [Environment Analysis]
    This will display all objects i hope also the 3 missed. From there
    you could mark it and delete it.
    Hope this helps.

  • Unable to create the infotype

    Hi SAP Guru,
    Greetings for the day,
    I had hired a guy with the infotype of  0207,0208,0209,0210 after hiring i try to transfer him using TRANSFER ACTION to another location say from New York to California, which is entirely a different state, where unable to create the 0208,0209,0210 in that i can able to create 0207 infotype alone, when i tried to create after 0207 creation, it is not accepting the information, Here i am looking for some one help, where some one can throw a torch for this issue.
    I had checked with dynamic action, which shows correctly.
    Pls help me in this regards, this  is very urgent.
    Thanks in advance for your reply.
    Regards,
    Babu.

    Generally, an Infotype 208 is not required.  Therefore, you would
    not get an error in RPCACLU0 if an employee does not have one assigned
    Without an IT0208 record, the system uses the tax authority
    specified on IT0207.  Additionally, the same applies to IT0209; one is
    not required and the system will use that of either IT0207 or IT0208.

  • Search help on custom infotype

    Hi Experts,
    I create custom infotype with field PLANS and others.
    I have problem on search help (F4) on field PLANS,
    I want to get structural list of position ( like attach file example2.png), not like this in attached file example1.png.
    Could you please help me resolve this problem.
    Thank you, Mija

    Hi Mija,
    The following FM will return you the hierarchical list of any HR Object type that you specify.
      CALL FUNCTION 'RH_OBJID_REQUEST_46A'
        EXPORTING
          plvar           = '01'
          otype           = 'S'
        IMPORTING
          sel_object      = ls_objec
        EXCEPTIONS
          cancelled       = 1
          wrong_condition = 2
          nothing_found   = 3
          illegal_mode    = 4
          internal_error  = 5
          OTHERS          = 6.
    I use this for 'F4 Help' in the selection screens of my report programs. But, to have it at the table level, you need to create a Search help and attach it to the particular field of the Custom Infotype table.

  • Creating OM Infotypes

    I am trying to create a new custom OM Infotype, the T77* entries are not creating automatically as they should. Also screens 2000 and 3000 are not creating, could this be stopping the table entries from creating? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Are you using PPCI transactio to create an Infotype
    Prerequisites
    You must create a structure HRI9nnn in the ABAP Dictionary and define infotype-specific fields in
    this structure. The structure is created in a development class without a prefix.
    No further Repository objects - such as screens or module pools that you may have created
    manually - may exist for the infotype apart from those in the structure PT9nnn (or HRI9nnn).
    If such Repository objects exist, delete them by choosing Check environment.
    Procedure
    To use the infotype copier, you must be able to program in ABAP, be familiar with
    the ABAP Dictionary, the ABAP Screen Painter and the ABAP Menu Painter.
    1. Enter the transaction code PPCI.
    2. Enter a four digit infotype number (9nnn) and an infotype name.
    Select Lang-dep. infotype if you want to create a language-dependent infotype.
    Select Country-specific infotype if you want to create a country specific infotype, in
    other words, an infotype that is displayed when you choose the relevant countryspecific
    settings.
    3. Choose Table infotype.
    4. Choose Infotype   Create.
    The infotype copier generates all of the Repository objects that are required for the
    infotype.
    5. Choose Check environment to maintain the required entry in table T777I (Infotypes per
    object type).
    Result
    All the Repository objects required for the infotype have been created. The relevant infotype
    specific table entries in tables T777T (Infotype texts) and T778T (Infotypes) have been
    maintained by the infotype copier. The user has maintained the relevant entry in T777I (Infotypes
    per object type).

  • How to add search help to custom infotype listbox??

    Hi All,
    How to add search help to custom infotype listbox??
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Vinay,
    We have search help and list box as 2 different options.
    At a time we can make a field a list box or a search help.List box is restricted and we can pick values from the defined list whereas in search help we can allow more entries and then validate the value entered later.
    Implementing a listbox or search help in infotype is same as that of implementing it in a modulepool .
    for search help..we can create a custom search help or check for existing search help in se11
    then in the screen on infotype field..assign the search help direcly at the screen painter level..
    double click on the field in screen painter -> change mode and then in the space for "search help" enter the search helps name
    for list box..in the screen painter ,make sure the field is selected as list box..then in PAI of screen we do a
    (Process on value-request..field fieldname module module name)..check syntax and other details...
    Using function module vrm_set_value fill the field and populate it as required
    Pls check and revert

  • How to create OM Infotype

    Hi experts can any one guide me how to create OM Infotype?
    I know that we need to create a structure using SE11. then we need to go with the creation of Infotype.

    Dear Vamsi
    Check this out
    How to create a HR infotype?
    1) Go to Transaction PM01.
    2) Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create (Should be a 4 digit number, start with 9).
    3) Select the ‘Employee Infotype’ radio button.
    4) Select the ‘PS Structure Infotype’.
    5) Click on Create… A separate table maintenance window appears…
    6) Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the Infotype
    7) Save and Activate the PS structure
    8) Go back to the initial screen of PM01.
    9) Click on ‘All’ push button. It takes a few moments.
    10) Click on ‘Technical Characteristics’. Infotype list screen appears
    11) Click on ‘Change’(pencil) button
    12) Select your Infotype and click on ‘Detail’ (magnifying glass) button
    13) Give ‘T591A’ as subtype table
    14) Give ‘T591S’ as subtype txt tab
    15) Give your subtype field as subtype field
    16) Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
    17) Click on ‘Infotype Characteristics’ … Infotype list screen appears
    18) Click on ‘Change’ (pencil) button
    19) Click on ‘New Entries’
    20) Enter your Infotype number and short text
    21) Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotype’s infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference to fill yours)
    22) Save your entries.
    23) Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
    24) If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your requirement…
    25) In the PM01 initial screen…Select ‘Screen’ radio button and give 2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
    26) In the next screen.. Select ‘Layout Editor’ and click ‘Change’.
    27) Screen default layout appears…here you can design/modify the screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
    28) Save and activate. (Don’t forget to ‘Activate at every level)
    Another way of creating the infotype with screen shots:
    Creating a New Infotype
    Step 1
    Execute transaction PM01 (If you get a message saying the infotype can not be enhanced,
    try transaction PPCI).
    Step 2
    Select create IT tab and enter new infotype number into selection box.
    Step 3
    Press the create ‘ALL’ button (left of infotype no.). You will get a dialog box asking to confirm,
    press the create button.
    Step 4
    You will now be presented with the standard structure creation screen (SE11) where you need to
    enter the fields of the new infotype. I have entered some examples but you can put anything in
    here.
    Step 5
    Once you have entered the fields press save and then activate, before pressing the back button.
    You will now be presented with the following screen, where you will need to make a new entry
    or your created infotype (i.e. 9010).
    Step 6
    The next step is to fill in the infotype attributes, these will initially be blank and you will need to
    fill them in similar to the following, depending on your requirements. Then press save.
    Step 7
    Your infotype is now created and can be accessed and populated in the usual way using
    i.e. using transactions such as PA20 and PA30.
    Step 8
    If you look at the structure of your new infotype in transaction ‘SE11’ it will look similar to the
    following:
