Help deleted playlist!!!!

I deleted my recently added playlist by mistake. I only wanted to delete the items in it, as they all had the same track #. I looked in my recycle bin but could not find it. I attempted to add it as a smart playlist and keep getting a popup basically saying can't do.
I looked in this forum but could not find anything similiar.
Can anybody help me out?

You cannot add/delete songs from a smart playlist. iTunes does it based on the criteria you select.

  • Accidentally Deleting Playlists - Help?

How do I change the delete playlist prefernces in iTunes so I can get the "Are you sure you want to delete this playlist?" message back? I checked the "do not ask again" box a while back but after accidentally deleting so many playlists that I've spent a good deal of time creating I need at least something to help prevent myself from doing that again. This usually happens when I'm trying to delete just a song in the playlist; sometimes in iTunes it's hard to tell if I'm currently highlighting a playlist or a song.
I can't find the option to bring it back in the preferences area.
    Thanks for any help!

There is no option in preferences to get the warning back. What you have to do is delete the iTunes preferences files. Forget the article number

  • Cannot delete playlists on iPod

Howdy. I have a list of 10 or so playlists within iTunes. When I sync with my iPod, it copies the 10 playlists that I have, PLUS about 8 or 9 other OLD playlists that I no longer have in iTunes. So, after a sync, I have 10 playlists on iTunes and 18 playlists on the iPod.
I have done a restore on the iPod, and on my first sync, once again, the old (previously deleted) playlists returned to the iPod.
The only way I have ever been able to remove these playlists from the iPod is to manually manage the iPod and then remove them. But, as soon as I set it to automatically sync, they return.
Since the iPod has been restored, and it still didn't fix it, I'm guessing there is a configuration file somewhere on my Mac that I don't know about which is being repeatedly written to the iPod.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

I would recommend recreating your iTunes Library. Be sure to back up the playlists that you DO want to keep, however.

  • Deleted Playlists Reappear New Playlists Remain Local ONLY

I've been having issues when enabling iTunes Match on my iPhone 6 Plus.
That is to say, my playlists are in disarray, in completely random locations (not in the folder structure on my Mac).
I then proceeded to delete & re-create each playlist from scratch on my Mac.  However when updating iTunes match all my deleted playlists re-appeared.  The new replacements I created (with new names) remained on my laptop, but when I re-enabled iTunes match on my phone, nothing had changed at all (all existing playlists remained in the same places, un-deleted, new playlists did not exist).
I then (after doing some searching) proceeded to delete the playlists from my iPhone instead.  This worked (they were removed from my Mac), however, since the new playlists I created on my Mac seem to be remaining local ONLY, I now have no working playlists on my phone.
Anybody have any idea how to fix this?  It's really annoying and I don't believe I'm doing anything incorrectly on my end.

Wonderful, its fixed! Thank you so much.
I hope everyone get the fixes they need.
My Pod is like my bike, my car, or my guitar. If its not working, I can't think properly until its fixed. Thanks again, I really appreciate the help.

  • Can't delete Playlists / Kann Playlists nicht löchen.

    Hi guys,
I'm unable to delete playlists on my account. This problem happend before and it disappeared after I reinstalled Spotify. After a while i was unable to delete playlists again. Even if I reinstalled Spotify. I can create new playlists and put songs in them and so on... but i can't delete them for some reasons.
I should right-click the playlist and then click on delete but on the following picture, there is no option to do so... maybe someone can help.
    Hallo Leute,

Are you manually managing music, or automatically syncing?  If you add songs to the iPod by dragging them to the iPod in iTunes, you are manually managing music.  You should be able to delete playlists by selecting them (indented under the iPod in the iTunes sidebar) and deleting, as you described.
If you use automatically syncing, you cannot manually update the iPod content.  Instead, what you do is select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar under DEVICES, and go to the Music tab (over to the right).  On the Music tab (where you define how the iPod is synced), remove the playlist you want to delete from iPod from things that are selected for automatic syncing.  If you currently have the Music tab set to sync "everything" (Entire music library), you'll need to change it and select specific criteria for syncing, based on playlist, Artists, Genres, and/or Albums.

  • Cannot delete playlist from Walkman

Hi - Just got a Z1 compact and went to put my micro sd card from my old phone into the sony. Everything is fine except i cannot delete playlists from the My Playlists section of Walkman. The playlists have no content in them, i can't add content to them, and i can't delete them. How do i get rid of them???? Suspect they have to be on the SD somewhere but cannot find them by searching the name or the file type .m3u. Any idea how i find and delete these ghost playlists?? thanks in advance!

Hi, I'd just like you to know that havin already tried EZ File Manager and manual deletion via USB I still couldn't delete certain non-working tracks from the Walkman app, and although I thought your advice seemed potentially dangerous, I tried it as you're a moderator so I trusted it was some 'combination' that was safe. Anyway, long story short I wiped all the media on my phone and SD, of which there was plenty, amassed over a lot of time (the music in particular). If I can't retrieve backups of the music, I'll be very angry with you. (The photos and videos were mostly backed up recently). I don't know if this was some weird, cruel joke for frustrated clueless phone users (not thinking straight late at night, in my case) but if it was, you've caused me to delete everything, and I hope you're happy with yourself. -Feargal

  • I have deleted playlists from my iphone4 that I wish to restore. The current back up does not contain them either. Can I use a back up from yesterday? How do I find it on my laptop?

I have deleted playlists from my iphone4 that I wish to restore. The current back up does not contain them either. Can I use a back up from yesterday? How do I find it on my laptop?

No iTunes content is included in any iPhone backup. If the playlists are not in your iTunes library, on your computer, they are gone.

  • Deleting playlists

I've just bought a Touch to replace my old iPod. It has a much lower capacity so I have to eliminate a lot of music from my library.
In my old, existing library all the music has always been organized only in playlists, I've never loaded cd's directly in, or put in any music that was not in a playlist - I just created playlists from music already stored on my hard drive, and loaded the playlists onto the old video ipod. The old iPod is dead and gone, but I've put a lot of time into creating playlists so I like to keep most of them.
Now, for the new iPod, I thought that by deleting the playlists I would also then delete those songs from the library. But I see that is not the case. Even though I delete playlists, the total number of songs in the library stays the same. How can I find the songs that are no longer in playlists (I have about 60 playlists) and delete them from the library?
    Thanks

When you use the Selected playlists option lists of playlists, artists, albums, and genres will appear below. Make your selections there.

You should delete your phone number from the topic line.
Spambots search these forums for contact info.
You don't want to get even more telemarketing/scam calls than you probably already get.
It seems like the "Do Not Call" lists are ignored these days.

  • Deleting playlist on ipad

My ipad says that it has my complete library but iTunes says 0.  I can't get in to delete playlists or songs... Any suggestions?

Changes you make to your playlists on your device are synced back to iTunes when you sync the device, including deletions. Change the sync selection in iTunes so the playlist is no longer synced to the device.
