HELP> DESPERATE CMSS 3d / EAX? ok the other day i had done somethign to my settings in control panel and when i went ingame (counter-strike .6) it felt like i was actually there i Could hear Everything Everyware and i could pinpoint everything. It kinda felt like i had tincans on my ears. It had a sort of Echo effect like i was in a dome or a cave it was awesome. but i had problems with the drivers and had to reinstall them because Sound kept cutting out here and there. And now i am trying to get taht same effect again and i've tried everything. CMSS is enabled on my headphones and i select EAX support on cs i have EAX effects checked in CP and crystalizer on and still no " I FEEL THERE" effect and i kinda just feels liek flat sound liek when someones shooting from acroosss the map its eitehr infront of me on the side or right next to me and i cant pinpoint anything the sound is basicly FLAT.(either left or right? or center and i have to turn ingame to pinpoint were its coming from). Help Would be greatly appreciated i've been trying to get this to work for about 2 hours straight now. And thansk for listing to my story.
EDIT: im trying to get it to sound like ENVIRONMENT FX LIKE IM THERE So im guessing EAX is not working for me?

I guess Counter Strike is not EAX so CMSS 3D may be the best option.
Have you tried going to CMSS 3D and selecting (or deselecting) "Macro FX" and "Elevation Filter"?

Also, since you recently installed everything again the onboard sound may be acti've.

Help with cmss-3d audigy 2 NX in win 7

well, i have a problem here. when i installed a fresh win 7, i installed the audigy 2 nx driver, named "USB_W7DRV_LB__0_0099", which is the newest version. at that time before i unpluged it from the usb port, it worked well with all function, cmss-3d, eax ... then i decided to unplug it from the usb port to bring it to my friend house, then back, then plug it again into the exact same usb port as before. however, from now the cmss-3d not working any more. I still can play movies with 5. sound, but the cmss-3d functione makes no effect at all. for example. before I played a song, enable the cmss, that would make sound through all speakers. now i enable/disable, no effect, sound only through front speakers.
i check the control panel/sound and got this message. even i tried to uninstall the usb sound blaster, uninstall driver and reinstall them, still got the same problem
any one can fix this issue? i dont like to reinstall the new win 7.

i know mate im having the same problem with that ctregsvr file on mine i get it on startup also my volume icon that creative uses the white and blue icon that vanishes on the odd ocashion but that missing file ctregsvr is doing my head in it says file not found something like that anyway if you crack it let me know

How come I get Dolby Digital decoding, CMSS, and EAX effec

Perhaps this is related to the fact that I use either headphones or 2. speakers. The info on the Vista beta driver says I'll get no dolby digital, CMSS, etc.
But, in PowerDVD I set to SP/DIF and the Creative decoder gives me the DVD audio fine! I turn on CMSS 2 and it expands things nicely for my headphones just like on XP.
Same with the Advanced EQ EAX settings and CMSS 2 with mp3 listening with headphones. The different settings all work, and have worked even before the Vista driver came out when I was using the XP driver.
Is it just the expansion to 5. speakers that doesn't work yet? Because the headphone listening effects seem to not only work, but music and DVD's actually sound better than on XP!
Further info: Vista RC Build 5728 32-bit, Audigy 2 ZS Platinum, Vista Beta Driver.
The driver install went perfectly except for some error messages on the first restart about driver access.
The major improvement for me regarding the Beta drivers over the XP ones is that Creative Soundfont Manager and Soundfont midi now works. I custom installed the Soundfont Manager, AudioHQ, and found that for some reason the DTS/Neo stuff gets installed along with System Info and Registration even when not selected. I left out everything else and did not install MediaSource Player.
Audio Console is able to control all the stuff in it. EAX Control in AudioHQ doesn't seem to work properly but Audio Console can switch between the preconfigured settings and the changes take effect fine.
Just no EQ. I tried installing it and it wouldn't run. That's how I found out the DTS stuff is installed. I noticed it when uninstalling the EQ.
The Advanced EQ in Audio Console works fine though.
Apparently the Vista Audio improvements help out the sound quality. At least for mp3 listening and DVD's, things are sounding quite a bit better than they do on 9x or XP.
Now if we could get a new driver/software package from Creative. Heck, they did it for Li've/Audigy shortly after XP came out (redesigning the whole package). Maybe they'll actually make us happy and give us a similar easy to install package that all works together.
I'm sure this won't happen until after Vista final comes out, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have this in mind.
It's just frustrating during the beta period. Especially for those that haven't gotten good (or, any) results.
It's weird. I know I've been lucky but nearly anything I've tried since starting to test Vista with my Audigy 2 ZS has mostly worked.

From what I've seen, the most of the problems with the cards are with the 64-bit drivers. My Audigy 4 also works with the XP drivers of the CD and Vista B2 drivers as much as they should. Many people don't realize that it is a beta driver, on a new OS (which is now in final development) so some things will and will not work. Also many people don't read readmes and such and still complain on things that where stated. Such as the Vista B2 drivers for the Audigy series
Known issues:
* Waking your computer from sleep or hibernate mode stops audio output. To resolve this, restart your computer.
* In this download, the Effects Amount slider in EAX is disabled.
* To configure your speakers, use Audio Console only. Configuring your speakers in "Audio Devices and Sound Themes" in Control Panel may result in loss of audio during playback in Windows Media? Player. To resolve this issue, close and reopen Windows Media Player again.

All thats stated is pretty much what people are complaining. Though its stated what won't work, they may work due to its a general driver and not a specific driver. So some may have somethings working on one card, and not on the other.

I open EAX, click Environment, select an efffect (e.g small room), change the effects amount, close EAX, open it again, the effects amount is reset back to 00%. Can somone please help me? My card is Audigy 2 platinum internal (updated the latest driver/eax).

It depends on what country you're in and whether or not they're still available in the iTunes Store. Some purchased movies and all rentals won't be available.

Rendering LOSES Video -Please Help Desperate College Student

I am in desperate need of help, as no one around me has ever had this problem:
When I render select clips Final Cut loses that video clip and cuts out the footage. The clip is then replaced with video that was on either side of the original clip, like taking a curtain and closing it. I can't retrieve the video after I render it.
I would simply return to my raw footage to try and salvage the project, but to get the sequence I have now took about 24 hours of scouring 3 hours of film for short clips.
This has never happened to me before, and the problem occurs only with select clips that seemingly have nothing in common.
Also note, the audio is not effected by this.
Any advice is welcome, this project was due 11 hours ago :P

The only thing that seems to be causing it is when I use the "flop" video filter on the clip. Then, when it renders the original clip i had picked out has been squished out or something. I have also tried linking it and telling Final Cut that it is "synced"

Timeline gone - Need help desperatly

Hello.
After i accidently moved some panel, my timeline dissapeared. I cant even add clips anymore.

Please help desperate plea! Inbox and folders comp...

Please can anyone help with any ideas - my mother died a couple of months ago in Cyprus - i took my 6610 to Cyprus and when i got there found all the texts in my Inbox and My Folders have been deleted. I'm desperate to get them back as they are the only messages i have from my mother. I have spoken to Customer Services, taken it to phone shops, had the SIM card and phone read etc etc and can't find them.
Does anyone have ANY ideas? Please, I'm desperate.

1. iCloud is checked and set up correctly on both computers with respect to their preference panels and both computers are logged in with the same iCloud account.
2. I have forced the sync on both computers multiple times ... nothing changes.
3. When viewed online at iCloud.com, the folders are not the same. The recently added folders are not showing up on within iCloud. The same problem as the laptop. Only the desktop retains the correct folders once added.
Not sure what to do now ...

Friends need help desperate-- Second page not printing from the beginning

I have a large layout whose main-section is 8.5x20 (Width&height) which has 2 frames each having 2 repeating frames and about 20 fields in each repeating frame. When I run the report it shows the report right, but when I print, it prints only the first half since the report is long. When I change the property of the second frame of 'Page break before' to 'yes' it prints the second frame on the second page but print it at the same position as it printed on the first, and top of second page is all blank. How do I make to print from the beginning of the second page. Need your help.

Most of the times, these problem are solved by "enclosing" the "Repeating frames" in frames with "Vertical Eleasticity" set to "Variable"

Ultrabeat problems please help, desperate help help help help

Whenever I'm assembeling a drum kit in ultrabeat, the acoustic drum samples keep changing, they will be fine one minute and then (it's whenever i do this) i import some new kits and add a new drumvoice, all of the acoustic drums just go silent/change their parameters, have posted this problem a lot, can anyone help please, very strange problem, if not can anyone at least tell me a support number i can ring? Thank you, this is the only problem i have found with logic, but it keeps on happening?

Avoid importing to the top notes in Ultrabeat since most of the drum kits have a bass assigned to the upper notes, unless you want to mess with midi. If you want to, you would have to reassign the upper notes to one-shots.

Transferring Hard drive data. Help desperatly needed!!

I recently had a malfunction of my hard drive but with some help of Disc Warrior managed to back up all of the HD on to an external USB HD. I then replaced the existing HD in my Macbook for a larger drive an reinstalled OS 10.5.3. However I can't transfer any of the old system/library/applications or User settings and programs. So all my iLife, iWork, Quicktime pro etc will only run in demo modes.
Does anyone know how I can "swap" all the content from my backed up HD on to my new internal HD?
By the way the back up was NOT done in Time Machine.

You can reinstall iLife simply by inserting the second recovery DVD that came with your computer and following the onscreen directions to "install additional software that came with your computer." As for iWork, simply install it from the disk that it came in. The serial number is included with the disk.
You can get the key for your Quicktime Pro account by emailing Apple support and explaining the situation.
If you're still looking to clone your external backup back to your internal drive, there's a few ways to do it. The easiest for non-technical users is to plug your Macbook into another Mac with a firewire cable and boot into FireWire target disk mode. (To do so, start with your MacBook off. Hook it up to the other Mac and then turn it on while holding the T key. This will mount the drive to the desktop of the second Mac.) From there, simply use Disk Utility to wipe your Macbook's hard drive clean and then clone the external disk (where your backup is) to the internal hard drive in the Macbook.

Someone please help - desperate!

My desktop screen flashing on and off and does not allow any activities. This is how I could have gotten there: one of my keys were not working so I went into system preferences then keyboard, then I clicked on 'restore defaults'. Then desktop started flashing. Then I could only open in 'safe mode'. So can you please tell me how to fix the problem? Am desperate.....

Go into your Control panel, and launch the "Sounds and Audio Devices" control panel. Click on the "Audio" tab.
Is the correct default device showing up in the "Sound Playback" area?

Okay, so I lost my comments in the switch to Mobile Me. I got my money back from my purchase of .Mac. My comments still appeared on iWeb, there was just no way to publish them or to copy and paste them.
I recently started my new Wordpress blog, which is way better by the way, and started the slow process of transferring blog posts from iWeb. My comments were still there on each post, so, I decided to snap a photo of each set of comments using the screen shot function, and paste the photo into the end of each entry on my new blog.
Then disaster strikes, AGAIN!!! My comments suddenly disappeared from my iweb! I don't have Mobile Me anymore, I'm talking about the iWeb on my computer! I had no idea they would disappear from my own computer! I did nothing to make them go away, I just opened iweb a couple times ???? I am so upset, after finding a way to save my comments (this is three years of comments from my sons blog since he was born, so they are very important to me!) they suddenly disappear! Can things be any worse with this program?
Please help me find my comments again!!! Where are they? They have to be saved somewhere on my computer because they were showing up for months before this happened! Help me get them back, please! I really, really, need those comments. It is very sentimental for us!

Help Desperatly Needed!!!

Hi. My Nokia N73 use to connect to PC Suite fine.
Now when I connect (either using bluetooth or usb cable), it shows that the phone is connected but cannot seem to read anything on the phone.
When I try to transfer anything or use the Nokia phone browser it just says operation failed.
Its like there is some sort of firewall blocking the computers access to the phone.
Its very frustrating as I now have a fairly good camera phone but cannot transfer any pictures to the computer.
I cannot understand it and its driving me crazy.
Any suggestions or help would be great appreciated.

Ipod/itunes help, desperate

i recently got a new computer, and i want to take the music that is on my ipod, and put it into itunes on the new computer. i've tried countless times trying to do this, but it always asks me if i want to replace the current playlist on my ipod, and if i do, it wil completely erase the songs on my ipod because there is no music in my new itunes. please help.

To transfer the music to another compute, you can use your iPod as an 'intermidiate', retaining all playlists.
The procedure is described in How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
If you don't have access to the old computer, try Senuti or iPodRip or a similar application. These apps. will transfer all music, but no smart playlists.
You can find the latest versions on versiontracker.com.
