Help! different name appear when i connect iphone on Laptop!
HELP!!! WHENEVER I PLUG IN MY PHONE (IPHONE4) ON MY LAPTOP IT SHOWS ME A DIFFRENT NAME example: "JEMS IPHONE"
BUT WHEN I GO TO ITUNES IT ALWAYS SHOWS MY NAME "JHAM2306" WHICH IS THE RIGHT ONE.
HOPE YOU GOT WHAT I MEAN... PLS HELP!
additional info: my friend use my laptop/ ITUNES to update her ios, that since then whenever i connect my Iphone it shows me her name!
I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer

I am a group exercise instructor and rely heavily on my playlists. My old phone is an iphone 4s and I just bought an Iphone 6. I also have a macbook where I keep my itunes account, but I create all my playlists on my phone. I need to transfer those playlists from my old iphone into itunes in my computer so that I can then add them to my new iphone 6. However, none of the playlists on my iphone appear when I connect to my macbook. I have read other threads where the suggestion was to attach the old phone to itunes, find the phone in itunes and click the little arrow to the left to show the playlists. Then right click on the playlist and export it, saving it to the desktop, to then import it into itunes. However, in my case, the playlists do not show up when the phone is connected to itunes. I have clicked on the little arrow and all I get is "music", "purchased", etc., but none of my playlists. I'm sure some years back I probably deleted something in my itunes library and now none of my playlists show. Please help me. I would hate to have to recreate all of my playlists. Thank you!

i added 3 contacts and saved on my iphone 5, but do not appear on my list of contacts. the names appear when they text or call me. I have to go search for their messages when i need to call them?
Try to restore your iphone via iTunes or update to ios6.1.2.
If itunes gives an error with restoring (DFU/Recovery or just normal)
try this:
open your computer and search on windows; C://windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
open up the hosts file in note pad you will see IP adresses and more add another line and put in this:
#74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
this is a by-pass to the cydia/saurik restore server, it has nothing to do with jailbreaking over voiding apple's warranty

please advice what is to be done to repair it.Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

How do I change the way that my company name appears when it is googled? Currently it only shows up as part of my company name followed by the website listed below and then the start of a description. I would like to make it so my entire company name show up as the title when searched. I used iWeb to create the site. Please Help! Thanks:)

Are you saying that you always see the "welcome to Firefox" message? I cannot deleted. Computer keep telling that my dropbox is open. Don't see how to shot it off. Do I need to delete all pictures from dropbox first and delete application after. Will I loose all these pictures? Usually, I copy all photos to iphoto app.

Hello, I would like to know how to delete the yellow partition named "Other" (in italian "Altro") that appears when I connect all my devices to the laptop. This partition in Ipad comes with 4 Gb that for an instrument of 16 seems a bit too also because it far exceeds anything else. Thank you very much, but it's not so simple. I read somewhere in this same forum that:
I quote: "That large of "other" is corrupt data. Try restoring your phone from backup first, followed by syncing your content back to the phone. If restoring from backup does not fix things, you will have to restore as a new device to get rid of it. There is no way to directly delete it, other than restoring your phone."
First of all it's terrible, (but we know that itunes is very far to work properly, it's a store) and how many times a day we should make a restoring? and if it does not have we to buy another device? I cannot believe that there aren't other solutions. -
iphone 4 is not recognized by itunes and is only on emergency mode, keeps telling me to connect to itunes but when I connect iphone to computer it does not recognize it
Did you try recovery mode? Hold down the home button as you connect it to iTunes. iTunes should pop up a window that says "iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode" and give you the option to restore.

I took some photos with my new 4s. Then, when I connected Iphone on PC asked if I wanted to start as a new phone or old. I choose my old account. I would like to know if there is any, any chance that I can recover the photos took before sync back.
I did not use ICloud or any storage and did not make any sync before.
Is there any Trash Can in Iphone in order to find them? I am dumb and I did not think about save them before connect to PC.Your photos are gone. They were wiped when you restored your phone. There is no "trash can".
You obviously don't understand how to use the iPhone properly. Attached is a link to the iPhone User guide. I suggest you read through it to avoid data loss in the future.

If you're running Windows, close iTunes, right-click on the iTunes icon and choose Run as Administrator, then try syncing again.
