Help! Directory issue

I downloaded and installed all of the Jam Packs.
Al loops and instruments are in the appropriate directory.
In GB, I can preview a certain loop just fine; when I attempt to drag it into the timeline, I am told the audio file cannot be found.
I have similar issues with certian instruments. It says they are there but when I click they cannot be found.
I am confident all my files are in the appropriate directory. The only thing I've changed is that my GB is in a folder within my "applications" folder, and not where it was initially installed (I didn't think this was a problem, since theorhetically none of the pre-existing sounds would work, but they do)

Any help would be appreciated.
I have removed the ecp site from default site and attempting to rerun SP1 now. I do not have high hopes. :(

Thanks for your response.
From the error description, you need to manually remove the ECP with IIS manager in both the Default Web Site and the Exchange Back End firstly. And then continue the upgrade to check the result.

Help on issue "SGD/USD - rate does not exist in scenario for"

Hi Experts,
Hope that someone may help in issue that I can't seem to fix in TXAK Option pricing engine.
When trying to generate market data, the program is giving me error message number T0478 - "SGD / USD - rate does not exist in scenario for".
Your help please to inform me what customizing need to be done to troubleshoot this issue!

I also checked this setting and the exch. rate for SGD/USD has already been set previous to my error. Also, this configuration allows the exch. rate to be valid from a certain date so I don't think that this is what Ravi is referring to..
From what Ravi said, I need to set an exchange rate for the Evaluation Type that I am using. OB08 doesn't determine which evaluation type is being used.

Cisco Unified Department Attendant Console Server 8.6.1.9 Directory Issue

Hi guys i have an issue in My CUDAC, I already installed the Attendant Console Client on the operator´s pc and when i try to find an user by it´s Last Name, First Name or Number extension i can´t find it, and on the Directory Area i can´t see the phones. The CUDAC 8.6.1.9 is on w2008 server SP2 with ISS, NETFRAMEWORK 3.5, SQL EXPRESS. I have a CCM 8.0.3 and i don´t have presence server. The question is must i install a presence server? and what can cause the directory issue?; i noticed when i make a search request on the directory area, there is a message at the bottom of the Attendant Console Operator wich says "Database Searching" but doesn´t display nothing.
Please if someone knows about this issue let me now.

I haven't got in front of me but can if you look on the server for the directory sync settings I beleive you can sync on partition and or department. Make the partition search to "none" and then in the Department field you enter the value that you have entered in the "end user" department field on cucm. They must match as CUDAC looks for the value you have entered in the Department field in the cucm end user menu
I am having trouble with the presence side as well. It was working but after a reboot it has stopped working. All the phones in the directory have a cross, By the way you don't need a presence server for this.

Directory Traversal and Empty Directory Issue. Please Help!

I am building an application which is aimed at traversing the entire hard disk or a given folder and extract files from the folder, sub-folders and so on. I am able to currently traverse the disk and able to gain access to the files which are nested several layers of directories. The issue I am facing is that when I reach an empty directory, it throws a NullPointerException. I have tried using all kinds of methods like dir.exists() and have also tried to check for whether the number files in the directory is > 0, but the exception is still bugging me. I would require any help I can get.

Jabber for IPad Directory Issue

Guys,
I'm been beating my head against this issue for the last couple of days and I think a new idea would be extremely helpful!
Problem: No Corporate Directory being shown at all.
Jabber for IPad client Version 9.1
CUCM 8.5
CUP 8.6(3)
Microsoft AD Environment
Every single other client I have can access the corp directory (Android, Windows, CUPC) and I'm getting Presence and Contact list on the jabber for ipad client. Can anyone maybe post a screenshot of the product specific device fields or offer a sugestion? I've followed the Admin guide, but have obviously missed something :/

Hi Gareth,
I noticed this too. It depends on where you are searching from within the client.
If you are logged into the Presence Client - then your search is from the ldap profile assigned on CUPS to the end user.
If you are searching from within the CUCM portion of the client it uses the product specific section of the TABXXX client on CUCM
LDAP Server           FQDN.domain:389
LDAP Username     i have used the same one as for my LDAP directory Distinguisged Name\domain(without the ".local")
LDAP Search base     DC=xxxx,DC=local
LDAP field Mappings      mainPhoneNumber=ipPhone
we also have in the
"reserved" field the domain domain=xxxx.local

Active Directory Issues 10.7.4 & 10.7.5

I'm having problems with all my 10.7.4 & 10.7.5 mac's. They're losing their connection to AD. When I got to unbind I get the follwing error:
Unable to access domain controller
This computer is unable to access the domain controller for an unknown reason. Warning: If you click force unbind you will leave an unused computer account in the directory.
I then get an option to ok or force unbind. If I force unbind if I force unbind I get the following error:
An unknown error occurred

Interestingly enough, the problem doesn't seem to effect users runing 10.6.8 or my iMac which is running 10.8.2. I've spoken to network manager and he can't see anything strange going on, on the network.
I've also spoekn to our AD guy and nothing has changed.
This is now the second time it's happend, I've managed to get everyone working (before it happened again) by deleting the AD plist in /Library/Preferences/OpenDirectory/Configurations/Active\ Directory/ then rebinding via a scipt pushed out via ARD
If anyone can offer any assitance I'd be most gratful as I'm about to be shot by our users! as it's the start of our new academic year!

It's been a few weeks now, and (touch wood) it's not happended again on mass. We have had a few individual ones, but nothing major.
We still don't quite know exactly what happened, but trouble shooting found the following:
Our time server wasn't working corrctly centrifys ADCheck tool showed it as having a firewall (even though it didn't) our AD guy fixed that problem (sorry not sure exactly what he did)
We checked the AD kerberos ticket from a machine that lost it's connection to AD, on another mac that worked and found that it couldn't connect as the password was wrong. It seems that by default Active Directory ticket wants to change it's password every 14, and when trying to it's failing so I set it to 0
We had tried to set the server the AD plugin see's to a specific DC but this wasnt happening due to subnets not being configured in AD sites and Services
Some of the Mac's did not like being set to GMT in the time zone and the time was an hour out, people where able to login though! So I've now set them to Eurpoe\London and they're now picking up the correct time and even picked up the daylight savings over the weekend.
Our DNS is still not great but we are in the process of sorting out our subnets and when we do the consolodation we'll also asign reservations for all the mac's in the hope that apeases DDNS

IPhone/Active Directory Issue

I was helping a co-worker sync their 3G iPhone to my company's Microsoft Exchange 2004 server so she can receive company emails. Everything was setup fine and verified. Later in the day, I get a call saying she can't log into her Mac, which is on our network. I checked Active Directory and noticed that her account was locked, so I unlocked it. A few minutes later, she called again with the same issue. This problem persisted a few more times within a 30 minute window.
We finally decided to delete her company email account off the phone and was no longer was locked out of her machine. My question is why would adding her company email account on her iPhone lock up her account on our network and cease right after we removed the account?

I'm having the same problem. I have change mail to POP back to exchange, from push (15min to 1 hr) to Fetch, Fetch to manual, and SSL on to off. The funny thing is that this wan't not a problem until I change my network password. It connected fine previously without any locking of the email account.
I'm not changing my password at all during all of this and after the SA unlocks my account (done about 30 times over 2 weeks now) it connects and pulls down mail right away.
Is there a setting on the exchannge server that can help debug this?

Active directory issue regarding time (DST) - Cant bind any Macs to 2000 AD

I am working with a new server at a small mostly Windows based school district. I am here to do a small AD/OD integration with nothing out of the normal. They are using Windows 2000 server and 10.4.11 with all the current software updates. I tested binding to their AD several months back and it ran without a hitch. Now, today when I attempted to bind their new Intel Xserve running 10.4.11 to their AD, it fails yielding the "Active directory only permits slight variations between the clocks..." error message.
I have seen this before and the message has always been very descriptive in describing the problem (time is off on one end or the other). The issue here is that the machines are all running within a second or two of each other. I verified this my self several times on all the AD servers, each mac client and the mac server. I also checked other normal pitfalls and could not find anything. I can reproduce this error on 10.4.11 server, 10.4.11 client and 10.5.2 client (my laptop) so its not any specific install of OS X, its something in AD.
Is there any chance that this has something to do with the recent changes to daylight savings time? The on-staff admin at the district manually moved the time ahead one hour on Monday morning to bring the windows system up to the current time. As I stated before, this district uses 2000 server. MS does not support 2000 any more and has not issued any updates regarding the recent daylight savings time changes. I have done a ton of searching and I have not been able to find any other mention of such an issue as I would assume that it would be rather wide spread.

You can extend the time difference from the default 5 minutes to 10 minutes. This is done on the AD Server either using the GMM or the DMM. This might help with the issue you are seeing.
Failing that you could point the AD to an internet based time server along with everything else on the network OR make everything on the network use the AD as the time server.

HELP: Authentication issues?

I am running an OD server on a Dual 1hz PowerPC G4 Mac OS X server 10.4.10. The server has been up and running fine for some time now. I discovered I was having some issues when I attempted to connect to my server using AFP from a client machine. I would do Go>Connect to Server... enter the name of my server "server.summach.com" and click connect. It would just say "connection status Looking up server.summach.com" and never connect, eventually stating that the server may be down or I may have the wrong server name. So I checked that my DNS server was still operational using network utility and all domain names resolved correctly from both the client computer and the server.
When I open workgroup manager I can't authenticate to the LDAPv3 directory. When I attempt to do so workgroup manager stops responding. I can authenticate to the local directory node.
There have been a few recent changes that I have made to my server which may be causing these problems. Recently I added windows file server services to the server. These services are still operation. Users can login/authenticate using accounts in the local directory node and can access files with SMB.
My other recent change to our network was the addition of an apple airport extreme. The airport extreme is now handling the DHCP services, which communicates to clients my DNS server's IP and my LDAP server's search base (i think).
If anyone could please help me diagnose these problems and help me resolve them I would be greatly apprectiated. I don't even know where my issues are arising from, whether it is that some sort of password server is down, or my windows file server's share points were made improperley, or I setup the airport extreme improperly. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its not clear what you mean by an OD Server? People will post sometimes thinking they have an OD Master because they see a green light next to the service. This is not necessarily so. It’s best if you click on the Settings tab and inspect the Server Role. This is important as the Role can help narrow down where the root of the problem lies. It seems that changing the DHCP Server has caused some issues. Is the PC Server supplying DNS Services for the whole network or have you also configured DNS Services on the OD Master?
I’m going to assume that it is an OD Master.

If the ISP’s DNS Server Address is being passed to the clients then using the FQDN to connect to the server will struggle to work (if at all). Use the IP address instead.
and my LDAP server's search base (i think).
I don’t think this is possible.
So I checked that my DNS server was still operational
using network utility and all domain names resolved correctly
from both the client computer and the server.
Just because it appears to resolve correctly it still does not mean its not having problems. If you launch terminal and run the host command what do you see? You need to do this on the server. When I say server I mean the OD Master.
host serverfqdn
It should return something like this:
serverfqdn has address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the local (private) IP address of your OD Master. (It should not be a public IP address).
Run the host command again but this time like this:
host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the local (private) IP address of your OD Master which was returned from the previously run host command. What you should now see is this:
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer hostxxx-xxx-xxx-xxx.in-serverfqdn.
This should prove that not only is the Forward Lookup Zone working but also the Reverse as the in-addr.arpa is the Reverse Pointer Record. If you want to connect to the server using its fqdn from a client then you must put the server’s IP address as the primary IP address in the client’s DNS Servers field in Network Preferences. When using Server Admin and WorkGroup Manager locally on the server you can use its fqdn to connect to the server or the loopback address (127.0.0.1) or its IP address or its .local name. Occasionally you may find that you can connect using every method apart from its fqdn, if you see this then launch Directory Access and verify that the loopback address in in the LDAPv3 Configuration. It should also say From Server in the LDAP Mappings column. Occasionally its a good idea to remove this configuration (especially if the server admin applications are having trouble communicating. Save the setting, quit out of Directory Access, re-launch it and re-add the configuration again. Restarting the server will complete the process. Try logging in again hopefully it should now be OK. However I would not recommend you doing this just yet until you post back with some more details regarding what the environment actually is.

Please help - boot issues, os issues HELP

so i came home after three months and started up my mac. i was having internet issues so i restarted the mac. ever since the mac has been tremendously slow, taking sometime 15 minutes to boot. after that every application runs absurdly slow. i searched the forums and found the suggestion to boot into open firmware and reser pram and nvram.
so i did that. after that the os x boot screem came up and the status bar seemed to be moving faster, but it gets all the way to the end of the bar and then just hangs.
i know have the tiger install dvd in the drive and am trying to reboot, because i saw the suggestion to run a hardware test and a disk repair but i cannot boot to the dvd either.
please HELP! i love my mac and am going crazy without it, having to use the horrible dell laptop my work gives me right now.

If your attempt to boot from Tiger DVD fails, it sounds like the directory on the disk drive is very damaged and corrupt, which can prevent booting.
Do you have a FireWire drive handy?
A backup?
You will need another drive to work from. And either a copy of TechTool Pro 4.5 or Disk Warrior probably.
You could try booting to Single User Mode (command s) and run fsck - though I suspect it will say it was unable to repair, nothing to lose - maybe.
How hard is to to disconnect the internal hard drive? or to replace it? or move it to a external FW/SATA interface case.

Help! Issue with Adobe 8 and Microsoft 2007

Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me. I recently installed Adobe 8 on a laptop running Microsoft 2007. When an email arrives with a word attachment, I double click on the attachment, click open, the word program opens rigth up but the document never appears. There is no error message, just no document. Previewing the document also works.
Excel attachments work fine. This issue just started happening after Adobe was installed this afternoon. Before that, we had no issues.
Does anyone have any ideas???
