Help! Does the Motorola Rival now need a data package- being told it does by cust. service
Last week I called Verizon and confirmed that I could activate a Rival on a prepay acct, so I purchased one for my dd and did it. My dh liked the phone and wanted one for himself so I purchased another one. I was just trying to activate it and with his current Verizon pre-pay number and the customer service rep is saying that it can't be activated on pre-pay because it needs a data package. I tell her that I have already confirmed that it did not need the data pkg, and that my dd is using a Rival on pre-pay as we speak so she tries to manually program it and it wouldn't work. She told me to call tele-sales since they activated my dd's phone, but when I call them they say only customer service can change an ESN (or whatever its called).
Does anyone know whats going on?
Solved my own problem. My acct only had $6 left so I added money and then it worked. I'm not sure why the rep told me it needed a data plan.

Recently upgraded my four PCs running Win 7 professional from Thunderbird 24.6 to 31.0. Now when I open an e-mail and read it, then want to return to the Inbox, I now need to click on the List Tabs at the top right side of the screen, then click on Inbox it means an extra step and extra Mouse movement. Do you not close a tab after using it? If you close them, they can't accumulate.
I haven't seen any change in TB3.1 in the way tabs work here.

Choose your version, then your OS (win32 in your case) then your locale (en-us I would think). Finally, when presented with something like ''Thunderbird Setup 24.6.0.exe'', right-click it and choose "save link as", then after it has downloaded, double-click the downloaded file to run it and install Thunderbird.
You don't need to uninstall your newer version. Some add-ons may require help to locate their previous versions, compatible with what you've downloaded and installed; Lightning in particular comes to mind. -
why is it ok for a verizon wireless service representative to lie to a customer? I went over my monthly data and i called to ask for some help with the overage because i was barely over. They told me they would take care of it and sold me on a shared data plan that would result in 2gb less data but told me i would save 20$ a month. I agreed and recieved my next statement and to my suprise my bill actually went up 15$ a month and i talked to several people and they all told me there is nothing that can be done to get back on the plan i was on and they can not even give me a discount to get me back to what i was paying. They can only offer me a convenience credit. I will be cancelling service.

We do not want to see you go. I truly apologize for any misinformation regarding your plan. Let's investigate into this a little further. What plan were you on? What plan were you switched to? If you look at the detailed billing online of your previous bill do you see any additional charges other then the plan?

Need help! Z2 screen cracked. Need my data out! Check details below.
Hey guys, I need your help desperately.
So, my phone's screen cracked. Honestly, I dropped it and now it has some fluid and some parallel lines showing with shades of pink color and a very lil amount of blue and green color lines and its touch itsn't working either. It's screen is shattered. So, basically, I can touch it but it will touch at multiple places like crazy but I can't see anything. And to make things worse I have a pin lock. ^_^ How annoying pleasant is that. I went to the service centre, they said that my phone's screen cannot be replaced as this is a Z series and Z series only have the whole mobile replacement option. So, I need to get my data out.
My USB debugging is turned on, maybe this can help me? But Idk how. If it can, tell me!
And I can't access my phone until unless I unlock the pin lock on my phone. Please help me, I need my data. :'(
I saw this OTG method. I have an OTG cable but even if I connect mouse, I can't see anything so OTG with mouse failed. But I saw a post, someone said they used a keyboard and did some up and down and left right arrow keys and enter and it worked. If you know this OTG KEYBOARD method, please briefly explain it to me!
I read about some Android Debug Bridge. If you know about this too, please explain it to me. I'm literally.. crying inside.That data is.. my LIFE!
Anyways.. I read also about the Multipupose MHL to HDMI OTG with USB support, with which you can use a mouse and display the screen of your mobile on the TV or PC Monitor. But I'm not sure about that, it will cost me around 25 USD but I've seen people say in the reviews that it doesn't work for XPERIA Z2 or Z3 and stuff like that. So, I don't wanna risk it.
So, guys. If you know any other methods or these methods in brief with which I can get my internal data out, do tell me. And then when I get it out, I will give my phone to the service centre for replacement.

Sorry to hear about your phone
If you have a computer that is allowed to access the phone over ADB you could try using a 3:rd party software like MyPhoneExplorer from www.fjsoft.at to access it.
If you don't have a computer that is allowed over ADB in the phone i would recommend that you try to get hold of a TV with MHL or an MHL-adapter (but make sure it supports CEC). If you have a numeric PIN you can unlock the phone using the TV remote. It works fine when i test it with a Sony TV here. When unlocked you can then connect it to a computer.

I can no longer open excel documents in my doc to go app. Error message simple reads can not open attachment. And the attachment is now a winmail.dat
winmail.dat files usually mean the email has been sent in rich text format - you could either the person who sent it to send it in a different format e.g. plain text or HTML, or there are a few apps in the store that support it (search for winmail.date in the store).

I recently got BT Infinity installed in my home. The HomeHub3 was installed along with a white box which it connects into and it connects to my phone socket. Everything is working fine.
But to cut a long story short, my Engineer was "Snowed Under" and could not install the extra socket for free as he did not have time. He did say that he could leave me the bits if i weas happy to do it myself. I fix copiers for a living, so i said "no Problem" and hey presto, my good deed for the day was done.
He left a socket (Network port type with 3 slots for wiring on the rear face. a length of 6-core Cat5 type cabling with one end pre wired to a network-type plug. and a small leaflet that came with the cable. The leaflet says to connect the blue and blue+white to two of the connectors on the socket rear face, which i have done. none of the other colours are required apparently.
Now...
I dunno what the pre-wired end plugs into? I have tried the following combinations:
Wall > Infinity white box > Hub3 > Extra socket > Network cable > PC
Wall > Infinity white box > Extra socket> Network cable > Hub3 > Network cable > PC
Basically what i need to know is where do i plug the extra socket cable into???
I should say that the Phone socket/master socket in the hall has only one socket on it, so i cannot plug it in there?

Richard...Yes, it is infinity. what i should have said is that the master socket has no SPARE sockets to plug anything into.
So having read this, does this mean that my data extension kit is simply the same as my master socket but farther away?
i.e.: i plug the data extension socket into the master wall socket in my hall and then the modem and HH3 into the other end in my living room?
I thought it would have been an EXTRA socket, in the same style as if i just ran a long Network cable to my living room PC from the HH3? -

ElisabethOpen the email and then from the File menu select Save As Rich Text Format. That'll save it to open in TextEdit. If you want a pdf then open the email and do command-p (Print) and then from the PDF drop down box lower left corner select Save as PDF.

Okay here is my problem: I bought an iPhone 5c about two months ago, and recently knocked it in my pocket and damaged the digitiser – although not the glass, but it is currently unusable. However before that it started really playing up.
Primarily, it stopped being able to tell the time – which does not sound like a big issue, but is in fact a real pain as it throws out all my real-time apps, as well as making all my messages come through completely out of sync with each other. The time just seems to have slowed down, no matter if it is on ‘Set Time Automatically’ or ‘Set Time Manually’ – in half an hour it normally only forwards two or three minutes. Then the Bluetooth would not work, and then the same with the wifi – they just sat there with the turning on icon staying on and not changing. The next thing that happened was that my messages that I’d sent to people would occasionally send to other contacts over imessage completely randomly without me doing anything!
I know these are hardware issues and covered by Apple’s warranty, and they would replace my iPhone if those were the only problems, but as the digitiser is cracked I have to pay £177 pounds before they will even look at it to replace the glass, and that is just so I can send it off again afterwards for them just to give me a fresh phone anyway!
It is also not an option to do a self repair or go to a phone doctor as both of these will use non-apple parts, and void my warranty.
I really am stuck as I don’t have that kind of money for a repair at the moment, and still feel like it would be a complete waste of time for a phone that is currently not working anyway that they would just replace. Is there anything I can do?"Is there anything I can do?"

One thing I need to know about the Lapdoc is how I can get the page to move up and down. The Arrows seem to kick you out of the email and into another email.
The lapdock is AMAZING. I guess they dont give you a good user manual because they assume we all know how to use it. LOL I havent had any issues. I LOVE texing on the big keyboard. Its like if it was a chat session. I LOVE IT. If you have any more questions post em here.

Yes....always a good idea to say what you've already tried! Have you actually tried what I suggested though? If that doesn't work, the only other suggestions are deleting the game and reinstalling, or contacting the game developer.

If it's saying that it hasn't been activated properly then are you able to take it back to the store that you bought it from and ask them to activate it properly ? After updating to ios 7.1 on my iphone 5 the home screen shows that my data is being used.
And the next moment i go to settings or any other app the loading sign disappears. It appears only when im on the home screen. Please help

When trying to install the ios 6.1.1 update, I get a message saying I can't install because I'm no longer connected to the internet. Every other app that requires internet connection work fine.
METHODS:
A :
Go to settings, then iTunes and apps, click on your Apple ID and then sign out. Sign back in and see if it works.
B :
Double-tap the Home button to bring about the multitasking screen
Navigate to “Settings” then swipe up on the Settings app to send it off the screen, thereby quitting
Go back to the home screen, relaunch Settings, and try to download the update again.
C :
Open Settings and go to “General” followed by “Reset”
Choose “Reset Network Settings” and tap the red text to confirm the reset – this will trash the network configuration and restart iOS
When booted back to the home screen, reconnect to a Wi-Fi network through settings
Install the iOS update as usual

In the sync process, I loaded photos from my Motorola smartphone on to my iphone 4s. I can delete photos taken with the iphone but I cannot delete the photos loaded from the Motorola. I need the space. suggestions?
Photos that have been put on the iPhone via the sync process can only be removed the same way. You need to connect the phone to iTunes, select the device in the device pane, select the photos tab, remove the checkmark by the photos that you want to remove and then sync.
