HELP!! Double Login???

I don't know why this is happening or how serious of a problem it is. I want to install the 10.4.6 update enroute to the new firmware update, that appartenly deals with the whine and cooling issues (can anyone confirm this?)
BUT I am afraid to (to make any major changes) because my macbook pro has me logged in TWICE. Meaning, under the Apple there are TWO shut down options TWO restart options and TWO Log Out "My Username" options.
They are identical. I do not have multiple login accounts on this computer. Just one admin account.
I know this is tweeking my computer because anything I single click on, like a folder get outlined in a black box. Looks very glitchy.
Anyway. If I log out one of them, I can either re log in or restart/shutdown. If I restart I still am logged in TWICE.
If I LOG OUT THE OTHER identical account. A dialogue box pops up with a glitchy looking blox box outlining a message says "are you sure you want to quit all applications and log out" and that log out timer running under it.
Well given that I have restarted I have no applications open.
It is as if it caught remember so other time ... I tried to log out or forced quit something .....
How do I resolve this. Should I software update and hope that it reolves it. I am afraid it might make it worse ....?

It was indeed the voice over (universal access) My volume was muted so I didn't hear it talking. I had accidetally starting it using Apple + F5

Double login required

I have a portal application that has some forms applications inside, the applications are presented using an html portlet and the user is identified via SSO, the problem is since a server reboot when a user tries to access a forms application, the login page is presented instead of going directly to the application.Once the user enters his/hers credentials again everything works ok for that session, it seems as if the sso session from portal is different from the one on forms. Both portal and forms are in the same server and respond to the same url.

The problem sounds really wierd.
Can you check your SSO settings for your Portal ECC system? I mean, please check the User Management/Administration properties in your System Adminstration of Portal System that points to ECC.

Help with Login Form (JSP DB Java Beans Session Tracking)

Hi, I need some help with my login form.
The design of my authetication system is as follows.
1. Login.jsp sends login details to validation.jsp.
2. Validation.jsp queries a DB against the parameters received.
3. If the query result is good, I retrieve some information (login id, name, etc.) from the DB and store it into a Java Bean.
4. The bean itself is referenced with the current session.
5. Once all that's done, validation.jsp forwards to main.jsp.
6. As a means to maintain state, I prefer to use url encoding instead of cookies for obvious reasons.I need some help from step 3 onwards please! Some code snippets will do as well!
If you think this approach is not a good practice, pls let me know and advice on better practices!

Help with login, problems

I restarted my computer, and now it goes to a black screen that says freebsd and asks me to enter my login and password, which I enter. It then goes to a terminal like command. I just want it to go back to normal. Any help? Thanks.

Try typing "reboot" (without the quotes) at the terminal prompt and then press the Return key.

HELP ON LOGIN AND UPLOAD PAGE

hi there. I currently design a website for a rugby club, and need to allow access to the coach to upload the team every Thursday. There is no point in putting Dreamweaver on his PC so would like to add a page where he logs in (he will be the only one with the login details) and then that will direct him to a page so that he can upload the team. I would like the upload set up as a spread sheet so that he can just type the players name and click ok to upload it. I really needs to be that simple for him otherwise he'll get confused. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP????

While Im not sure I understand, and I dont know what you mean by "upload the team", it sounds like any blogging program would fit the bill. You might want to look at Wordpress for that.
If the uploading of the team is replacing last weeks file for this weeks file and you dont care about keeping a record of all the files, you could simply make this a SSI (Server Side Include) and let the coach overwrite the file and upload it, I would think Contribute or even a simple FTP program would do the trick.
You could also write a form that only the coach would have and it would update the page or file in question,

HELP Cant login on my MAC after changed in OSX Server all access for NONE

After changed for the users , roots , and another one , the access for NONE in one of the options in OSX Server to configure access just lost the capability to open the programs with the click of the mouse and turned off the MAC

SSO requires double login for partner application

I'm having some trouble with SSO partner applications, when I login to a SSO protected application, the login works fine, but when I try to navigate to another application I'm presented with the login page again, the sso cookie seems to be working since clicking on the login button without entering the user credentials works. For example, I log in to portal and from there I navigate to a forms application that is on the same server and the same port (portal: https://apps.mydomain.com:4444/pls/portal --> forms: https://apps.mydomain.com/forms/frmservlet?config=app) I am presented with the login page and after clicking on the login button without entering any information everything works fine. This is happening for all the middle tiers that are connected to the same OID. Any ideas on what can be wrong on my configuration?

Avoid double login for BSP iView

Hello,
I have installed a Netweaver 2004s Application Server + Portal. The user data source for the Portal is the ABAP System. I have created a portal page that contains a BSP iView. This BSP is created in the Application Server, and the portal page is assigned to a role.
When I access the portal with a user with that role, I have to log in, but for seeing the content of the BSP there is a second login request. Both logins are the same user and password against the same user data source (ABAP system). Is there any way to avoid the second login request apart of SSO?

Need help with login to RG54G2

I got this router and tried to use it as access point. I went into the configuration page and change the IP address to 192.168.1.253 and enabled the access point. It restarted itself. After that I was not able to login agian. I tried the Ip 192.168.1.253 and the default 192.168.1.254 but no luck. So I pull out the power supply and poke the reset button for 5 seconds to reset the router. I still couldn't login the configuration page. The router is connected to my PC only, the power light of the router was off, the LAN port was on (solid green), the WLAN port is flashing green.
How can I login back in again?

Don't really understand your question.
Would it be easier if ur application has a constant page that would always be displayed like a navigation page (assuming ur using html). Then u would not have to keep calling the procedure. This is possible using tag libraries.

Here is what you could do...
1) Create a custom login module stack with your login module
2) Create a authentication scheme that refers this stack
For example, you have defined a login module stack called certlogon in the Security Provider service in the Visual Administrator. You   want to create an authentication scheme that uses this login module stack. To do this, you add the following excerpt to the authschemes.xmlfile.
