  • Help downloading adobe reader

I  am having trouble  downloading adobe reader. I have tried numerous times and I am getting a message saying fatal error occured. I tried the troubleshooting tips from the website and  I tried downloading it from the direct link. I tried disabling my antivirus software. Still is  not working. Any ideas?

Can you try do download and run the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
If that still gives you an error, can you try to download the 10.1.0 MSI installer http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.0/en_US/AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi (English version) / http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.0/he_IL/AdbeRdr1010_he_IL.msi (Hebrew version).

  • Unable to print PDF documents & then unable to download Adobe Reader

    Help,
I tried to print a PDF document this morning and received the message "The document could not be printed". I clicked OK and received a further message "There were no pages selected to print". My printer will still print word documents, emails and DVD covers produced using Nero Cover Design Essentials.
I have the latest version of Adobe reader 11.0.07. I went to the Adobe site and repaired Adobe Reader but it made no difference.
I therefore decided to uninstall Adobe Reader and reinstall it from the Adobe site. It downloaded OK but when I tried to install it I got the following message "Error: General Installation Error". I was using Mozilla Firefox so tried the same with Internet Explorer, with the same result.
I then downloaded the full Adobe reader from File Hippo, but still got an error message when I tried to install it (see below).
So I have gone from bad to worse and don't even have Adobe reader on my PC any more. The problem only surfaced this morning and last night I uninstalled two programs I decided I didn't need any more; Auslogics Disc Defrag and AVG PC Tuneup, but don't understand how uninstalling them could have caused the problem.

    Hi again Pat,
I checked the permissions in my Temp folder and there were none. So I ticked all the boxes, but when I ticked OK I got the permission denied message again, so the problem is still tied to me not having administrator privileges. Strange thing is that even though I was denied permission, the boxes still stayed ticked. However nothing has changed as far as my problems are concerned.
It would appear to me that the answer is to get my administrator privileges back, but I have been unsuccessful in that so far. I purchased a complete PC from a good supplier but the Windows 7 setup disc that came with it does not have the "Repair Your Computer" function on it, which I understand would allow me to sort out my administrator privileges? When I rang Microsoft and asked if there was any way I could obtain that function, by download or otherwise, they weren't at all interested as I hadn't purchased Windows 7 directly from them.
As for downloading Adobe Reader via the MSI folder, I don't need to do that because when I recovered my backup from an earlier period I once more had Adobe Reader. I can use Adobe Reader to open a PDF document but it would appear I must have administrator privileges in order to print a PDF document, which was how the situation was before I decided to uninstall Adobe Reader and download a new version. I can print any other type of document so obviously Adobe demands more before it will allow printing.
In the early stages I also downloaded Foxit Reader, as I had read good things about it, but again, for the same reasons, I could not install it.
I have googled "problem with loss of admin privileges" and got a lot of hits. I will try some of the suggestions that don't appear too complex, but if they fail I will go back to the supplier. I have to sort it. I have seen suggestions about starting a new account but am not sure what to do there, or indeed, if I should do that.
Thanks for all the attempts to help me so far,
    Barry

  • HELP w/ ADOBE READER DOWNLOAD

Having problems with downloading Adobe Reader - everything fine and fast -- but stops at 93.3% installation pending - Waited hours for completion - 3rd attempt - same thing!  Plenty of space - Have downloaded - uninstalled in past - NO PROBLEMS - By no means computer savvy - learned how to turn one on 1 1/2 ago - but all my computer wiz friends say I'm doing great - working on designing software program - but the little, simple Computer 1A stuff seems to mess with my mind... already slege-hammered last PC (but- it felt so good) anyways would greatly appreciate some help.... OR is their any other PDF type reader besides Adobe's .. no offense Adobe... but..   THANK YOU,  DR TILMAN

You don't give too many information, but let's assume that you are using Windows, and you want the latest English version of Adobe Reader.
I suggest that you try a different installer; this one is without Acrobat.com and Adobe AIR:
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.1/enu/AdbeRdr910_en_US.msi
If the installation is successfull, don't forget to update with the latest security patch:
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.1.2/misc/AdbeRdrUpd912_all_incr.msp
If you still have problems, please post back.

  • Why can't i download adobe reader  on my windows vista. Error message is invalid key

I can not download Adobe reader. The installation begins, but then I get the message that the key is invalid. I don't know what means or how to correct it. How can I get a vaid key.

That is a problem caused by Microsoft or one of their recent updates.  Here is the solution
in the Windows Explorer address bar type %APPDATA%
on the right-hand side double-click on the Microsoft folder
now look for a folder named Crypto; delete it, or rename it to something like Crypto-old

  • I cannot download Adobe Reader app using my IPod Touch 4th Generation due to iOS upgrade.

I have an IPod Touch 4th Generation (the older model) and the highest operating system stops at iOS 6.1.6. Unfortunately, when I tried to download Adobe Reader app, it only works for the newer IPod Touch 5th Generation with an operating system of iOS 7.0 or higher. My question is that since I cannot download Adobe Reader app, is there a way for me to open PDF files on my IPod Touch by using Safari? There is no way I can find an Adobe Reader app that works for my operating system or an operating system that works for iOS 6.0 or lower. Is there another program similar to Adobe Reader where I can open PDF files that works for iOS 6.0 or lower?
    Thanks.

    Krispy2010,
Please note that my instructions are intended for Adobe Reader for iOS, not for all iOS apps in general.
Adobe Reader for iOS does offer earlier compatible versions for iOS 5 and 6 via the App Store.  Because the supported iOS version for Adobe Reader for iOS is 5 or later.
Tech specs | Adobe Reader mobile app
However, I cannot speak for other apps, such as Costco app and NFL app that you have mentioned.  It is up to each individual app developer/company to decide whether to take advantage of Apple's App Store's features to offer earlier versions.
Install the latest compatible version of an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X - Apple Support
If a compatible version isn't available, you can try contacting the app developer. Look for contact information on the app's product page in the App Store or Mac App Store.

It is probabl,y sending the email to your Dad's email address if you are using his account.
