Help! DreamWeaver MX 2004 reactivation doesn't work!

Following having to reinstall my complete system from a backup, due to a deep seated virus I just couldn't get rid of, my DreamWeaver MX 2004 now requests reactivation.
I tried the online reactivation, but this no longer exists, and the phone activation doesn't work either!
It was working just fine when I made the backup, and was working fine before I had to reinstall.
I have tried Adobe chat, but they tell me it's too old and they don't have the info now.
Well, MX 2004 suited me just fine right now, and my serial number is a non-expiring one, so why can't I use it? At the moment, I just can't afford a new version.
All I need is the confirmation number normally given out on the phone to make it work...
Any ideas please?

Thanks to both of you for taking the time to reply.
After some more extensive digging I found the solution, which I'm putting here for others if they are in the same situation.
Adobe has a page giving new serial numbers following the discontinuation of the activation server.

I wouldn't suggest it though, since it may void your warrantee. Apple will replace it if you bring it in. The genius bar guys aren't too bright, well most of them. But they'll go through the usual diagnosis steps then issue you a replacement if they have them in stock.
I have to admit, Apple has one of the best replacement services that I've ever experience. If you're familiar with costco, the return/exchange process is very quick and painless.

Aggregation level query "value help" = Only Values in InfoProv doesn't work

I have a problem with Selection Variable for a BEx Query :
- I'm working with SAP BI 7.0 support package 15
- My query is an input ready query built for an "aggregation level" based on "real time infocube" (Planning);
- Characteristic, I want to filter with variable, has query property Advanced->Query Execution for Filter Value Selection = Only Values in InfoProvider
- Characteristic (info-object) has set the property: Business Explorer tab--> Query Def. Filter Value Selection as Only Values in the info-provider...
My problem is:
when I execute a query,
the Select Values for Variables screen appears
I push on the Select from List button
and Select Values For MyCharacteristic appears...
but it shows me all values in master data table of my characteristic instead of only values in the infoprovider!!!
If I build a query for the Real Time Cube it works correctly, but if the query is built for the aggregation level it doesn't work!
Could someone explain me why it doesn't work correctly?

Regarding the query built on aggregation level please note the following
the aggregation level is always a Virtual Provider built other
InfoProvider and hence it does not have the dimension table and hence
the F4 mode D is not supported.
Therefore when aggregation level is used in a query, F4 does not supportD-mode: 'Only Values in InfoProvider' and all master data values are
displayed in the value list.

4. Since other InfoProviders do not have a dimension table, the system
displays only posted values if you select "Only Posted Values for
Navigation". Otherwise, it displays the values from the master data
table.

Need help...Force Quit doesn't work & keep crashing HD b/c of it

For a week now, I have been trying to re-download my iTunes library from the iTunes store. Turns out, the problem has to do with the amount of downloads they put in my queue, which causes iTunes to crash. But, when it does crash, Force Quit doesn't work UNTIL I am forced to unplug the hard drive it was writing to. This is BAD and could kill my hard drive (I've had to do this AT LEAST 20 times this week and have repaired it 4 times with DiskWarrior and TechTool Pro during the past week).
Is there ANY way to get force quit to work without having to do this to the hard drive?? Seagate is no help as their phone just rings...no customer support avail even though hours say they are open. I am using 10.4.10 and a 500GB Seagate Pro External Hard Drive. I would put this in iTunes, but Force Quit is a Tiger thing. Off topic a bit, do you think iTunes would crash less if I downloaded to my internal HD instead (though, not really feasible as my internal couldn't fit all the downloads anyway)???

The previous reply was correct -- the freeze you are experiencing has nothing to do with the number of songs in the iTunes queue. The problem is with your hard drive. The newer Seagate FreeAgent drives (and all FreeAgent Pros) use a chipset that does not play well with recent versions of MacOS. I am not sure if Seagate uses two individual chipsets: one for USB and one for eSATA (assuming you are using a FreeAgent Pro), or simple one that supports both protocols, but that is the causing your mysterious freeze.
I have spent weeks troubleshooting this very same problem and have yet to find a solution. Right now, I am in standby mode until Apple releases 10.4.11 which is said to have fixed "issues with USB devices." I have tried many brands of external drives (Western Digital, Hitachi, roll-your-own, pre-FreeAgent Seagates) and they all work fine. I have even removed the drives from the FreeAgent Pro drives and put them into roll-your-own USB enclosures and they work fine. The problem is with the Seagate FreeAgent interface chip itself.
Hopefully you can still return your new FreeAgent drive to the store you bought it from. I am a strong believer in Seagate drives and use them extensively at home and work (over a dozen externals total) and the FreeAgents have caused more trouble than I've ever experienced with an external device. As of now, I am using a Western Digital 750GB MyBook drive until Seagate or Apple can find a permanent fix for the issue.
That being said, the FreeAgents have worked fine in the past and only recently have begun to have issues, so if you can, try rolling back to an earlier version of 10.4 and try again. Being a software developer, that option wasn't available to me.

Urgent! please help: why socket.setSoTimeout(ms) doesn't work precisely

I wanted to set timeout for the sockets accepted by server as:
Socket socket = server.accept();
socket.setSoTimeout(5);
Since I want the server to process next request (another thread) as soon as read block happened on the current one, I set the timeout to be extremely short. But it doesn't work. I intentionly blocked my testing client and timed my first .read() method from server. 200 ms actually escaped, no timeout happened. What could be the problem?

You can't really expect processors to be that fine-grained. There are multiple factors:
1) other apps are running (such as the OS), consuming processor time as well
2) processor speed
3) etc.

Please help! HP Deskjet D1520 doesn't work on my snow leopard

So I just bought the HP Deskjet D1520 printer and installed it. Everytime i tried to print something it says, "Deskjet quit unexpectedly". It only prints the test page but nothing else. I'm not sure if I have to wait for a download or something but its just running on the HP D1500 series driver.
If you have any idea on how to make this work, please let me know. Thanks a lot.

Heyy.. I tied reseting my ipod (pressing menu+middle button) but it still won't turn on at all.. i tied moving the hold button and i tried setting it on a flat surface and reseting it. Nothing worked. I am sure that it ran out of batteries but I don't understand why it won't turn on.

Dreamweaver spry menubar vertical doesn't work properly in firefox 3.6.3 for windows

The links in the menu items in the left hand sidebar (a Spry menubar vertical) do NOT work properly in Firefox 3.6.3 for Windows. They work when the home page is first loaded, but when you go to another page using the menu links and return to the home page via the BACK ARROW, the links no longer work. You have to reload the page to get the links to reappear.This bug is only manifested in Firefox 3.6.3 for Windows. The menus work as expected in IE 8 for Windows, Google Chrome 4.1.249.1064 (45376) for Windows, Safari 4.0.5 for the Mac, Google Chrome 5.0.375.38 beta for the Mac and Firefox 2.0.0.17 for the Mac.

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions.
You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension, you do not need them to run Java applets.

Help! My "Delete" button doesn't work!

About a week ago about a tablespoon of a drink landed on my keyboard. I immediately did everything that you're supposed to do. I dried off the keyboard, turned off the MacBook and removed the battery. The next day when I booted the computer back up, everything but my delete button worked.
I've tried everything I can think of to get a delete button. I've downloaded several "keyboard reassignment" programs, including UControl and Ukelele. I found a program called "fKeys", but that comes with all sorts of crazy warning that it could make your computer crash.
Any suggestions? I would really appreciate any help that anyone can give.

You could try restoring the iPod but it may be a hardware fault and need service.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

Help: My track pad sometimes doesn't work.

I was on a plane, and a diet soda exploded on me. A little bit got on my MBP. Nothing got on the keyboard at all, but some did get on the trackpad. I wiped it up as soon as I could, but after that the track pad acted real funky. I shut it down, and booted it up about 3 hours later, and sometimes the track pad would work just fine, and then other times it would go crazy, not be responsive, and navigate all kinds of places whenever I touched it a little bit.
I shut the laptop down for a day, and came back to it, and it is still incredibly inconsistent. Help.

You need to take it into your local Apple Store and just pay for the repair. Spills are not covered under your warranty and there are liquid contact indicators in your MBP which will let Apple know that you had a spill.
