Help- During the syncing proccess, it stops/freezes

Help- During the syncing process, it stops/freezes on step 5: Waiting for changes to be applied, and nothing happens.
This problem just started after the newest system update.
Any suggestions on how to get this to work?

  • How do I solve this Nano 3G syncing problem?  During the syncing process my music files are registering as audio, but once I eject the IPOD it does not reveal the music files in the music folder.

    During the syncing process my IPOD Nano 3G shows that the music files that I'm synching are registering as audio, and that the video files are registering as video, and even upon completion they are still labeled as such.  But, when I eject the device from ITUNES and turn it on, the IPOD reveals that there are no music or video files to be played.  When I plug the device back into my MAC and, when ITUNES recognizes the device, uder the summary tab the summary bar reads that the files that I loaded are all classified as other files.  What could be causing this?  I had to re-install my Tiger Software, and since then I've been having this problem.

  • All my emails from Gmail have been deleted during the sync process with Mail

    Hi,
    During the sync between Gmail and Mail in my MacBook Pro all the messages disapered in Gmail and in my Mac. I see them for a minute in my Mac and then all disapered. Then, I went to Gmail and all my emails have been deleted too, but they aren't in the Trash Folder. The configuration was ok, and all the options to keep a copy on the server were activated.
    Now I can't find the emails (more than 15.000) in Gmail or in the Mac.
    Any suggestion?

    Most likely your anti-virus software did corrupt your mail files. In general the anti-virus software should not scan your Thunderbird profile folder.
    Without knowing what exactly the local computer company did it is virtually impossible to tell what happened.
    You can check whether the anti-virus software did quarantine your mail file(s).

    The Windows Restore function does not cover the Thunderbird profile, so there is no point trying that.
    Your best bet would be to restore a recent backup of your profile folder. Hope you did create one.

    Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
    iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen                         
    If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
    You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
    Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store        
    If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • Aperture deleted several Facebook albums during the sync process--what can I do?

    After I enabled the sync between Facebook and Apeture---the program began downloading albums and "republishing" them to Facebook. However, it wasn't able to download all of my albums which resulted in the app from being able to "publish" them back to Facebook. The albums are now lost. Never experienced this problem with Picasa. Only began when I started using Aperture.

    Same issue here.  Lost every photo in eight albums!  It's trully a travesty since these were the only copies I had of these pictures and was precisely the reason I was trying to sync to Aperture!
    And before I get scolded for not having backups, I did (Macbook, iPad, TimeMachine). Due to a series of unfortunate events, however, they were lost as well.
    Keep backups and download your FB data often!

  • ITunes suddenly quits during the sync of my iPhone 3G

    I have had no problems syncing my iPhone until very recently. Better stated, since the upgrade to iTunes 10. The sync/backup seems to proceed normally until about 2/3- 3/4 through the sync. Anyone have a similar problem? Any suggestions? I did reinstall iTunes and did a hard reset of the iPhone without any improvement.

    I've started getting the same thing this morning. itunes 10.0.1, iphone4 with iOS4.1. I've tried restarting the mac, verifying and repairing permissions with no improvement. Error message suggested a scrobbling plugin was at fault. I have turned off scrobbling in lastFM and quit the app. I am at a loss.

  • We have 2 iphones and 1 computer. Somehow during the sync my phone now is connected to my husband's itunes account - not mine.  How do we undo it?!?!?

    After syncing, my phone still has all of my apps, contacts, email accounts, etc., but it seems to only recognize my husband's itunes account.  When I try to buy an app, it has his account and asks for his password.  Also, anything I have in the cloud is actually in his account.  When I look at the cloud under settings it has his itunes account, but no way to change it.  Help!!! I just want to know how to make it recognize my itunes account again. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!

    Yes. My wife and I do this. You can sync as many as you like to one computer. Each is a different device and can be set up to sync whatever you like.

    Yes. Disable automatic syncing on both computers - to avoid an accidental sync. Then set the work computer to sync calendar and not to sync anything else ( done via the taps in itunes). Do the same at home, only select to sync everything but calendar.

    I did the back up but restore comes up with ERROR (-10)...restoring from my itunes backup (many attempts and takes an hour or more each time).  If I do a new restore will I lose all photos or are they saved in my itunes backup I did?

    I guess I'm out of luck.  I also noticed my magnetic cover no longer makes the click sound at openning and closing.  Nobody at APPLE store can help me with my sync issue, they say to bring it in.  Ok well if I bring it in and I have my back up on my home computer itunes I don't see how they can actually help me other than tell me what to do when I go home.  It is about 40 miles to drive each way to get there.  I really am frustrated with my apple product .  I'm 3 months and a few days...just past the time where they give me phone support, lucky me.

  • I need help with the sync and the new update.

    I have had 3 new updates recently. I'm now into iTunes 8.1-8.6 or something. I've got two problems that I can't find answers for in the help.
    First off, The new iTunes is pink with a black side-bar. I was wondering if there is a way to change it back to white and gray.
    Next, when I plug my iPod into the coputer, it says that it has detected the iPod, but can't read it. It then tells me to unplug it and try again. I have done this over 300 times, over two months. It dosn't work. My iPod still dosn't read, and I now have almost twice as many songs on iTunes, as I do on my iPod.
    Please help.

    My computer tells me iTunes 8.0 is the most current version. I'll assume that's what you're running, but you can check by opening iTunes and going to Help > About iTunes.
    You can resolve the color issue by:
    Open your Control Panel
    Click "Switch to Classic View" on the left
    Open the Display icon
    Choose the Settings tab
    Move your color settings to highest: 32-bit

    Unfortunately Sync is not a back up system and it will sync the information of the active computers. Because your active browser configuration is blank, it has probably deleted what it was in the server.

  • Iphone4 having problems syncing music after the latest update.  only half of my music has been synced. during the syncing process the system stalls and i get an error stating itunes cannot locate the file.

    My IPhone 4 is experiencing an issue since the latest update.  Itunes will not allow the library to sync my entire library. Itunes get stalled and the error message reads ITunes can't find the file for a certain song.  

    I had the same issue and was told it was because I was using Windows XP.  Not sure if the same issue or not, but check that first.

    In technical support, sometimes you have to make educated guesses. I'm sorry that you were offended.
    iTunes does prompt when it is going to erase a device, and the message is clear.
    She said in her message that she was able to successfully sync the old ipad. This indicated to me that itunes wiping the data was not an issue, because either it had been setup at the apple store (in which case it doesn't actually wipe the ipad despite saying it will*) (*based on a single case I saw), or because the itunes media folder was migrated.
    Furthermore, my solution was to tell her how to backup her ipad (by either doing it manually, or as a last resort, by deleting the corrupt backup -- that she couldn't access anyway.)
    I got that last part of the instructions from the "Taking Control of your iphone" book which I found samples of when I did a google search for "corrupted backup itunes".
    She marked this as a solution, so it worked for her.

  • Since new MacBook Pro: iTunes freeze during iPhone sync

    I know that there are already a lot of discussions going on about these but nothing works for me.
    MacBook Pro mid 2012:
    MacOS 10.8.5 ---> new clean install
    iTunes 11.1.1 ---> new clean install
    iPhone 3Gs:
    iOS 6.1.3 ---> new clean install
    The problem:
    The problem started after a clean Mountain Lion install on a new MacBook Pro.
    Updated all applications an system.
    Copied iTunes folder to new MacBook Pro.
    Connected iPhone to sync with new MacBook Pro.
    And ...
    iTunes freeze during iPhone sync for the first time in many years whitout problems.
    Some apps in iPhone are partly installed because of freeze.
    When i delete them they appear again during next sync and then iTunes freezes again.
    What i already have tried:
    # Clean iOS install --> again and again
    # Recover from older back-up --> again and again
    # New user
    # New iTunes install
    # Delete iTunes preferences and cache
    # Delete all apps
    # Reset permissions on the user in repair center
    # select: "Prevent ..., iPhones, ... from syncing automatically"
    ---> but when i connect the iPhone it start syncing automatically???
    # and so on, and so on
    All the rest is working like a beauty!
    Please help, getting down and losing al lot of time.

    It have taken me all day but it's solved!
    During last sync on old MacBook Pro the new version of the iBook app was only synced partly.
    That's why, when i was trying to sync on my new MacBook Pro, iTunes was freezing during sync.
    Once i have synced my iPhone on the old MacBook Pro again, and iBook app was synced complete, this problem was fixed.
