Help -- Email no longer appears in Gmail inbox

As of yesterday, messages no longer appear in my Gmail inbox on my HTC Incredible 2. I can access new messages at gmail.com and using outlook on my home PC. When I send myself a message, the phone buzzes and says I have new mail, but nothing appears in the inbox. I can see sent mail (including the messages I sent to myself that do not appear in the inbox). It's a 2-week old phone and I use few apps, so I have definitely not reached memory capacity. Any suggestions?

Oh No! You should be able to see incoming email in your Gmail application. Let's get this fixed right away.
How many Gmail accounts do you have set up on the device? Did this start after a particular application was downloaded? It may be a third party application causing the error. Please power on in safe mode and retest. Here's the link to power on in safe mode:

Are you able to receive the messages in safe mode?
It also could be an issue with Outlook on your PC taking the messages. Please ensure that a copy of the message is being left on the server. When my brother sends me an email, it does not appear in my general Inbox or in my Gmail account sub Inbox. I can view an email from him only if he calls or texts me to tell me he is sent it and I type his name in Mac Mail's search box. And viewing his emails with the search box works only if All is selected in the Search bar and if I select the Sender contains option that drops down below the Search box. He's starting to think I am purposely ignoring him because this is such an unusual problem that seems like it should have an obvious easy fix, but I haven't figured out how to fix it since it started happening more than a year ago. Hello I have a problem - I live in France so this might be something to do with my service provider (orange). But I can't work out how to continue to get my emails on my mac mail application on my computer when I have icloud switched on on my iphone and ipad. I receive my emails on both iphone and ipad but not on my computer. It's as if my computer has become a slave to my ipad.
I can disable the icloud service for mail on my iphone but then I can't send emails from my second account from my iphone (I have both a .mac account and another account). When icloud is switched on and when I'm using the g3 on my iphone, when I receive an email on my orange account all I have to do is change the address from which I am sending an email in the "from" line from my iphone and I can reply from my phone.
However if I switch off icloud on my iphone I can indeed reply from my .mac address but not from my other address - ie the drop down menu doesn't appear which means I have to copy out the original email if I wan to reply in detail.
But if I keep icloud switched on I no longer get my emails on my computer - only on the server. I think there ought to be something I can switch over on icloud but I don't know what.
Any ideas?

I would understand it if you checked email on your Mac, and then those messages were not available on your iOS devices if you had the advanced account setting "remove copy from server after retrieving message:" set to immediately.
I looked through my iPhone settings and don't even see an option to tell my phone to pull the only copy of a message and delete it from the server.
Possibly there is another setting in Lion (I am running Snow Leopard still) that tells your Mac to only synchronize mail to your iOs devices and is not pulling mail directly from iCloud.
You could try disabling your current iCloud email account in Mac Mail, and adding a new one and just telling Mail it is a standard IMAP account (imap.mail.me.com incoming and smtp.mail.me.com outgoing).
I did that for Leopard to get my email even to work after MobileMe is cancelled and it seems to work fine with my iPhone.
If that doesn't work, you can delete that new email account and re-enable the temporarily disabled iCloud email account from above.

I have four mail boxes.3 are IMAP one is iCloud. One mailbox, my personal one, no longer shows the mail in the inbox. It was there then it went away. It shows up on my laptop and my iPAD but not on my desktop. I cannpot seem to see any differences in the settings from one account to the next.

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folders. In OS X 10.9 there are two sandboxes, while in earlier versions there is only one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Log out and log back in. Launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. You could copy the images link from the pages code and link it to your html email:

Mutt/Offlineimap Sent mail is showing up in Gmail Inbox

I am just starting my journey with mutt and quite like the interface thus far but I am having trouble with sent emails showing up in my Gmail inbox. It is a little annoying to always have my sent emails appear as unread in my inbox. In my search for a solution I have found that this behavior sometimes occurs if you have Gmail filters that are set to never send to spam, I checked and do not have any such filters. This could also happen if I had $record set, but I have specifically unset record. I use msmtp to send the emails (and they do send) but as far as I know that program should have nothing to do with my folder labeling.
What happens exactly: When in mutt, I press 'm' and compose an email and send with 'y'. Oddly enough, the email appears in my gmail inbox (the webmail) even before I sync mutt with offlineimap (I don't automatically sync). Once I sync, I see the email in both my sent mail and inbox.

All I had to do was complain. I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store. I have no idea why.

WebOS 1.20 email no longer fetches gmail inbox

I've owned the pre since day 1 (6-6-09) and gmail IMAP (as items arrive) has worked flawless... UNTILL 1.20 update. Since this update, email no longer checks for new messages in the inbox. This is epic.
Things I've tried to solve this myself:
- Removed account, re-added. Nothing
- Changed time check intervals from As items arrive to 15 mins. Still doesn't check
- Rebooted, Shutdown. still no regular checks. I do get notified of new emails on reboot, just never again.
- Removed account, then shutdown, booted and added again. Still doesn't check.
Even when going to the email app and manually refreshing, new messages don't come in. Some-times after the 3rd or 4th refresh I'll get my new emails (& other times I don't.)
Is my only option downgrade because it's not even secure w/ the email exploits that exist in the older release.
FYI, i'm connect (and been connected) via WIFI. So sprint isn't at fault.

No I didn't. Someone suggested in another thread that my iPod was registering as a disk instead of a device, so if I removed my iPod as a disk on Disk Utility then it would reload etc. and show up in iTunes. Which it didn't, and instead just cleared all my music (16,000 songs).
So frustrating.
Hope if you have the same problem you are able to find a better solution!

Hi Team , now I have a different problem . Windows XP 2,000.Mozilla Firefox and G Mail - The problem is in Gmail.
Someone has installed an e-mail controller that comes up as if Avast , copy my e-mails and goes away. It has the Avast Icon. It says:189.174.127.135 dyn.infinity.prod .While it is working, I have 2 Avast icons down , right below the screen . .Sometimes it writes: the client is connected. or , there are no new e-mails or it simply starts to do its "job".
I have Google as the opening page.I would like to get rid of Google and Gmail.
They have also removed the Google translator.

If you're trying to decide between using POP and IMAP, we encourage you to use IMAP.
Unlike POP, IMAP offers two-way communication between your web Gmail and your email client. This means when you log in to Gmail using a web browser, actions you perform on email clients and mobile devices (ex: putting mail in a 'work' folder) will instantly and automatically appear in Gmail (ex: it will already have a 'work' label on that email the next time you sign in).
IMAP also provides a better method to access your mail from multiple devices. If you check your email at work, on your mobile phone, and again at home, IMAP ensures that new mail is accessible from any device at any given time.

How do I make it so my gmail account on my computer and online shows the same emails that are showing in the inbox of the mail app?

Every time I look online at my gmail account the inbox there is compleatly different than when I look on the Iphone mail app under my gmail account. I have tried syncing the account multiple times and have had no result. I can't seem to get the messages that are really in my gmail inbox to appear on my iphone gmail account.

I have a gmail account as well as an email account with my ISP Ozemail. The mail setup on the iPhone is such that when I check mail using the iPhone mail app I see all of the mail that was sent to both accounts. Likewise when I look at gmail on my computer I have gmail set up there so that any mail sent to the Ozemail account appears in the gmail inbox. When I send mail from my phone it appears in the outbox on the phone as well as the outbox in gmail on my computer. On the computer I made sure that in gmail settings I have engaged the checking of mail from other accounts using Pop3.

I run nokia messaging on e71 and synch with gmail.
Many (gmail labeled) emails don´t appear in the phone´s inbox, but I have to navigate to the subfolder "all mail" to see them.
Certainly, they appear in my gmail inbox just normally.
Also, I am not alerted if these emails arrive on my phone (as only the inbox triggers the "new message" sound and is displayed on my active desktop.
However, other emails can be found in both folders, but if I read/delete in one of the folders, it is not unread/deleted in the other. No need to say that this is really confusing.
How can I handle this behavior?
I have to comment that right now nokia mail is not really a professional push-email system that can compare to bb...

I have the problem that is other way. My inbox is getting filled but my subfolder emails are not syncing...Please let me know if u have any solution. For each folder I also checked the subscribe to folder option also.

Gmail's Apple-Mail-To-Do's no longer appear under Reminders

I use gmail as my mail utility (set for IMAP).
Before the upgrade to Mac OS X 10.5.7, my To Do's appeared in Apple Mail under Reminders > To Do > Gmail. They also appeared in iCal. On my iPhone they appeared in the Apple Mail To Do folder. If I added a new To Do, everything synced.
The other day, all of my gmail folders temporarily disappeared from Apple Mail, however, they began to automatically re-appear over several hours. (A problem with a gmail server?) (BTW, before this occurred I noticed lots of activity under "Mail Activity", copying To Do's between gmail and my mac, even though I had no recently added, edited, or deleted a To Do.)
All is restored, except my To Do's no longer appear in Apple Mail under Reminders > To Do > Gmail. (My To Do's still appear on my iPhone under Apple Mail To Do, and they still appear in Apple Mail under Gmail > Apple Mail To Do.)
If I add a new To Do (by highlighting Gmail under Reminders > To Do, then add the new To Do) the new To Do fails to appear in my "Apple Mail To Do" folder and thus can't be viewed on my iPhone.
All I want is to be able to track a list of To Do's on my Mac (in both iCal and Mail) and on my iPhone.
Help!

Hmm, well it seems to have recreated the weird folder 'ToDos.mbox (Server)' (that is the name of it on the server).
I have successfully moved my to dos from Apple Mail To Do to ToDos.mbox, so now my question is, as I have deleted Apple Mail To Do and just have the oddly named one, how do I get Apple Mail to rename it and use a more user-friendly name like it used to. Basically I just want it back to being called 'Apple Mail To Do'. (Renaming it on the server will just confuse Apple Mail again.)

My friend uses firefox to email me. When I open email it seem to me that firefox blocks my Gmail. So I cannot access my gmail inbox any more. Please show me how to debug this.

My browser is IE9. While I read my friend mails that are sent through Firefox. Suddenly I received an error message "Bad request error 400". Now I cannot access my gmail inbox anymore. I don't know what to do now. Please show me how to debug this so I can go back to my gmail because there are a ton of email in gmail inbox. Please help!!

The following relates to inbox problems in GMail in Nov 2011, no error 400 was seen, only a blank area where the message should have been. Since two people tied into this message this week I think theirs may be a need to update Adblock Plus filters per question [https://support.mozilla.com/questions/896267 896267]
