Help - error message after iTunes update
I have a Windows 7 PC
I updated iTunes about four days ago and got an error message.
What should I do to correct this annoying issue?
AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The Procedure entry point xmlTextTeaderName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR suitable for your PC (there's a 32-bit Windows version and a 64-bit Windows version):

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?

I have set SSL 3.0 to on
used the itunes diagnostic to check internet connection and the reoprt is
Network connectivity
Network interfaces verified OK
ITunes Store connectivity
Internet connectionverified OK
Secure link to iTunes store failed Red dot= NOT OK
deleted the SC file in SC info directory no success.

Dolby Advanced Audio V2 Error Message After Lenovo Update
I received the following error message after completing a Lenovo Update: "The current Dolby audio driver version is 8.2.8000.14 and the software application expects driver version 7.2.7000.7. Please install a valid driver and software application." I have run Lenovo Update again and no updates/downloads were required. What action do I need to take to correct the problem so that Dolby Advanced Audio V2 works correctly? Thank you for your help.

even though it was originally described as an E430 problem, there are reports in the thread that uninstalling Conexant Audio from Control Panel and rebooting fixed the Dolby Audio issue.

I get an error message:
Quit iTunes and Xcode in all logged in users, and log out all other users — all users except the user performing the install.

HELP! Error message after itunes 10.2 update + ipad will not appear on Macs
Everything was fine until I tried to update to 10.2. Error message appeared and ipad lost sync. Now ipad does not show on computer when itunes opens. Also ipad missing several apps from screen.
How/why the heck did this happen????See this support document for error codes. Resolve iOS update and restore errors - Apple Support The 39 does not appear, but there is a 37 and 40, so I would believe it is close to that.
If you are having trouble updating, you need to check this support document for that. You may need to put the device into Recovery Mode.

It could also be the security software on the Windows PC. Another question, is the device jailbroken? -

Error message after iTunes upgarde
I just upgraded iTunes to 9.0.2 but now when I try to open it, I get the following error message: "The file "iTunes Library" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes."
Everything worked well until I upgraded. This message is confounding since to my knowledge there is no newer version than 9.0.2???Well, I thought that the iTunes upgrade had something to do with my inability to burn CDs. I can't say for sure that was the case but I do know that what fixed my problem (if you can believe this) was installing the QuickTime update. I'm thinking that the iTunes update corrupted something, but installing the QT update corrected the problem. Now I can burn with no problems whatsoever. You may want to give it a try.

"The attempt to burn the disc failed. The device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media."
What does this mean?
I am using the same discs as I always have. I just installed the latest upgrade. version 6.0.5

Error Message with iTunes update
Since updating to the latest version of iTunes, I'm getting an error message that doesn't make sense.
This is the message:
"Some of the iTunes Store files in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPod because
the iPod may only contain content from five iTunes Store accounts."
1. I don't sync any music, I put it on manually
2. I only have 4 iTunes Store accounts, not 5.
3. It only happens when syncing podcasts. But when I check all podcasts are synced properly.
Has anyone else seen this?It is also happening with newer content from the iTunes Store. Any thoughts out there?

Error message for itunes update fail!!!
I like everyone else was getting the MSVCR80.dll missing, windows error 7 when I tried to update itunes. I removed all Apple programs and rebooted PC. Now when I attempt to install I get Windows error 2 message! It should not be this hard to update itunes!!!! All my Window 7 updates have been installed.

Locale Error Message After Todays Update [Solved]
I experienced an error message regarding something about cannot locale en-US.UTF8 after an update and reboot today.
I got rid of the error message by uncommenting:
en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8
en_US ISO-8859-1
in
/etc/locale.gen
Prior to fix:
$ locale

glibc has been upgraded today. You probably haven't merged the pacnew files. -
I updated to LR 5.5 and later restarted my computer. I didn't use the program for a few days and then when I did, it wanted to backup the catalog. I agreed and closed the program. The next time I opened it, it asked me for my region, saying it was required. When I answered, I got an error message saying it has encountered an error reading the preview cache and needs to quit. It fails to fix the error and gives the same message over and over. I can't use the program at all. Customer service has apparently been discontinued and I'm really at the end of my rope with this whole company. I don't think I've ever had a mass-release program with so many problems.
open disk utility, make sure that you're back to only 1 partition should be 'macintosh hd' unless you renamed it
do not try to use the disk, instead DL the x64 8.1 pro ISO from this link, and once it is finished, then open bca and choose all 3 options (copy iso, copy windows support and install windows)

Follow the below procedure if you are using a Windows based PC. I did not develop it, another forum user did, but I did insert 1 additional step in case you use a 3rd party software package to give your apple devices "Airprint" capability for your non Air Print capable printers (Such as Fingerprint).
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
Remove any 3rd party software which uses Airprint features (such as Fingerprint by Collobos)
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or by right-clicking the downloaded installer and selectingRun as Administrator.
