Hi,
tried everything to get past grey screen & prohibitory (no-smoking) sign when trying to boot my G4 on panther.
Nothing worked...always the grey sign and nothing more. So decided to go the single-use mode to try fsck but cannot type in /sbin/fsck -fy...in fact, can't type anything because just get this one final line repeating every minute or so:
"still waiting for root device"
is my G4 kaput?

Sorry to hear this. I'm out of ideas, but it sounds like a visit to an Apple engineer is called for. He might be able to put your SATA disk in another enclosure and access it this way to recover your data. Or you might have the necessary hardware skills to do this yourself?
You could also try http://www.macgurus.com/forums where there are some knowledgeable hardware people (tell them I sent you ). They would certainly know how to put your disk in another enclosure.
Might be worth waiting for any further suggestions, though.

Updated to Yosemite recently, keep on getting efi and kernel panics. Can someone explain what this report means?

Authorizing is just a confirmation that you bought it. Its itunes security pretty much. You can have up to 5 computers with the same song game or video. To authorize it you just put in your account info. Pretty much so that limewire people cant host songs and videos off itunes that they bought

'flag' normally means a variable that can have one of two
values: TRUE or FALSE. In Lingo 1 is equivalent to TRUE and 0 is
equivalent to FALSE.
'g' is normally used as a prefix for global variables.
You will need to look for places in the code where goFlag is
set to TRUE or FALSE, in order to understand its purpose.

I'm a new user of After Effects, while learning I found several problems that some of you can answer.
Here is the problem. First I've imported a wav audio and a avi video file. Then I drag it into the timeline (kind of, bottom left).

1. What is the line circled with red means?
2. What is RAM preview?
3. How I can test the video (in a project) without make it as a file? When I try the Numpad 0 (RAM Preview, it only runs start and end in the green marked line that was mentioned on the 1st question.

CDC is basically a technical term - Change data capture. We use a few approaches to work capture changed data during ETL process. This can be called incremental approach/ delta loading of data.
Source Based CDC
-Using a timestamp, date, datetime, or int column to uniquely identify the next "band" of rows to be loaded into the delta process in combination with a status table, global variable, and where clauses of the query transform. This is demonstrated in the Tutorial file provided with Data Services in the CDC chapter.
-Using the Database native CDC functionality, available in Oracle, SQL Server and I believe Attunity
Changes are replicated to change tables in the source, marked as insert/update/delete. Data Services can natively read these tables through the use of CDC Datastore objects and Map_CDC_Operation transform.
Target Based CDC
-Must be used if the methods above are not available. The Table_Comparison transform is capable of comparing all source records to the target table to determine if an INSERT or UPDATE is required for that row.

what is your mac OS version and your iMac model? The pre-2006 iMacs this forum covers have different troubleshooting steps from newer iMacs, so we need to make sure which you have. The non-intuituve forum labeling here means people with relatively recent iMacs are tricked in to posting here instead of a more active forum for iMacs made since 2006.

Can anyone explain what "multi-tenant" means with respect to OAM and OIF?

I noticed that OAM 11gR2 has several additional authentication modules and schemes out-of-the-box for "MT" or multi-tenant. I've actually tried them, but am not clear exactly what their purpose is?
As a test, I configured the FederationMT module and FederationMTScheme to protect a test resource in OAM, and then when I access the resource, I first get a page with one field for username and a "Sign In" button. After I enter a user name, it goes to a form login page and I can log into the OIF IdP, and that's about it. I guess that I don't see what this accomplishes?
If anyone is familiar with this, please advise.

I've read that, and I can understand what the article is describing, but I'm not 100% clear how that relates to the configuration parameters in the FederationMTPlugin. The article talks about a mapping file, but I don't see something like that for configuring the TenantDismbiguationPlugin?
The first step in FederationMTScheme plugin is a TenantDisambiguationPlugin, which takes two parameters:
KEY_IDENTITY_STORE_REF
KEY_FEDERATED_TENANTS (a comma-separated list of "some things")
The steps/orchestration for the FederationMTPlugin has:
Initial Step: FedUserAuthenticationPlugin
TenantDisambiguationPlugin OnSuccess: FedAuthenticationPlugin OnFailure: UserIdentificationPlugin
UserIdentificationPlugin OnSuccess: UserAuthenticationPlugin OnFailure: failure

I guess all of my questions are around what that TenantAmbiguationPlugin does, and how it works?
I'm guessing that what you enter on the 1st webpage, which asks for a Tenant, is matched against the comma-separated list that is in the plugins "KEY_FEDERATED_TENANTS" parameter.
Is that correct?
But:
a) What happens if there is a match of what you entered vs. what's in the "KEY_FEDERATED_TENANTS" list?
b) What happens if there is NOT a match of what you entered vs. what's in the "KEY_FEDERATED_TENANTS" list?
That article you mentioned calls for a mapping file, that maps what is entered (the tenant) to a user identity store, but where is that in the TenantDisambiguationPlugin's parameters? The only other parameter for that plugin is the "KEY_IDENTITY_STORE_REF" parameter.
Having said that, I described the steps and step orchestration in the FederationMTPlugin above. If the TenantDisambiguationPlugin is suppose to somehow map what's entered to a user identity store name, then, with respect to the FederationMTPlugin, is that mapped user identity store used for the UI and UA steps (i.e., as the "KEY_IDENTITY_STORE_REF" for the UI and UA steps)?
