Help export fla. to sfw

I have a fla file containing fonts that I own. I make on
change on the file to change background to black and then when
export as swf. I have a major issue with font substitiution becuase
I am on a Mac. Looking to send my .fla file to someone hoping they
can esport to swf file for me and send back.
Thanks.

im not understanding the problem, flash is cross-platform
program, everything should work fine on either. Have you add your
font to the library, then embed it in your text fields?

how can I export to a .sfw file? it does not give me the option in FILE > EXPORT. I have Flash installed and everthing.

The feature to export SWF files directly from After Effects has been removed. It never worked at all well.
To create SWF files, use Flash Professional.
If you want to play a movie that you've created in After Effects in a SWF container, then export your composition using Adobe Media Encoder in H.264 format and then link or embed that movie into a SWF file in Flash Professional.

  • I need help exporting Apple Mail messages to Outlook for MAC 2011

    Good morning,
I need help exporting Apple Mail messages to Outlook for MAC 2011. Please....

It is possible to do this without external tools, but it is a tremendous faff. See
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoffice2011-macoutlook/import-ema il-from-mail-to-outlook-2011/5e858173-e1f4-4adc-99d7-253cc467169d?page=2 for details.
The easiest way, however, is to use Mail Exporter Pro https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mail-exporter-pro/id675131616?mt=12 which will convert the email for you from one format to the other, and comes with an excellent manual.
A third possibility is to connect Apple Mail to an email account via IMAP (this doesn’t have to be your usual account, you can just create a Gmail account for the purpose) . Copy all the messages into it and they will be uploaded. Then connect Outlook 2011 to the same account, via IMAP again, and let the messages download, then copy them to wherever you want to keep them and disconnect from that account. This is slow but preserves the attributes of your email (e.g. read/unead) better than any other method.

  • Exporting FLA/SWF to FLV

How can I turn my Flash 8 animation into an FLV file?
The only solution I've found is exporting it as a .MOV file.
But to do this I have to use Flash 5, which destroys my animation
    since there's no movieclip filters.
There has to be a way to do this, or Adobe is just retarded
for not seeing the massive need for animators uploading to the web
via FLV. My searches online for a solution have been fruitless.
    Please help!
    Thaaaaaaaaaaanks.

I realize that this is a response to a post that was first added a loooonng time ago, but thought I'd weigh in on this topic after cruising through this forum.
One possible solution to converting SWF to FLV (although many other folks have suggested using other 3rd party tools) is to export your fla as a .MOV file.  Afterall, the Flash Video Encoder that comes shipped as part of the Pro version of the software will only allow you to encode .avi/.mov, etc files.
So, while working in Flash, rather than converting the file to swf, go to File -> Export -> Export Movie and output the file as an avi/mov file or whatever.  From there, import the resulting file into the Video Encoder and that will help convert the file into an flv.
Hope that helps, and sorry for the delayed response to this post!

  • Exporting fla to mov.

I have a fla file and I am trying to export it to MOV format.
I have removed all the stop(); calls from the project, but the flash works for 20 minutes and than stops on Recording Flash Content.
How can I deal with that?
I am using Flash CS5.5 and tried on both Mac and PC

First, a DVD is 29.97fps not 30fps and 0.9 pixel aspect ratio for NTSC, 25fps for PAL. I'm going to assume you want North America so NTSC but you tell me. 24fps is strictly for HD content (1280x720 and 1920x1080) and sometimes 23.976.
If you have Adobe Encore it can help you create your DVD and do some conversion for you, although I've used the app less times than I have fingers.
That said, export to movie is Adobes "best shot" at letting you export to a video format but it is not very flexable. You need to stick to a strict diet of timeline tweens to see anything happen properly. If you start coding, chances are your movie will fail to export properly.
You said .mov. That makes me assume you're playing a movie somewhere in the timeline. Is this using a "component" like FLVPlayback or is it a MovieClip? The component is a code based video player so (I assume) it would probably not work at all. You'd need to literally lay the imported MOV into a movieclip and play it like that.
Export for movie should be treated as a very dumbed down function that rarely works in Flash. You might have more luck exporting a working SWF and using a SWF->Movie converter utility. There's been tons of post on the forum even recently about utilities to convert SWFs to movies.

  • Need help exporting video to avi

Please if anyone can help with advice on exporting to avi it
    would be much appreciated.
I have Adobe Flash CS3. I continue to try and export the fla
file to an avi and go through the process of selecting the
appropriate sound settings, codec, etc; however when I complete the
export there is no file composition or export taking place, like it
happens instantaneously. Then I go to the directory where the file
was exported, it exists; however it won't play and the file is very
small. It's like there is nothing in the file.
I have reinstalled flash several times and this continues to
happen. Any one else experienced this issue or have a workaround or
any advice would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    SCISGR8

    I guess I don't understand what you're saying. I don't know
what you mean by saying that "it doesn't show movie clips". A
different encoder wouldn't have anything to do with what's being
shown except for the amount of compression artifacts.
If you mean that the uncomprssed AVI plays kind of
herky-jerky, that's normal. Most home computers don't have the
horse power to play them very well if they're more than a few
seconds in length. But after you compress them they'll be fine.
I upload stuff to YouTube all the time. Don't believe the
silly hype about DIVX. Windows Media 9 is the best codec for small
file sizes like YouTube requires. The only problem is keeping them
in sync with the audio. The best solution I've found is to use an
NLE like Premiere to convert your uncompressed AVI to a DV-AVI but
with 16/44.1 sound and bring that into Windows Movie Maker to
convert it to a wmv file. WMM doesn't dither sound correctly so
you'll want to have it as 16/44.1 before you bring it in.
But if you take a DV-AVI file with 16/44.1 sound into WMM and
output a wmv file, I gaurantee you it will look and sound as good
    as possible on YouTube.

  • Please Help Exporting PDF Portfolio and Black Background turns White

I am creating a PDF Portfolio in Adobe InDesign and I created a black background using the steps below. When I export the document into PDF form, the background turns to white.
I followed these steps to make my background black:
"Window>Color>Swatches to bring up the Swatches panel and double-click the Paper swatch. Change the Color Mode to RGB and move the Red, Green, and Blue sliders to 0 to change the swatch to Black. Click OK."
Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You misunderstand what paper is for. Paper is quite simply the absense of ink or color.
By changing it, all you've done is show what something will look like printed on black paper. If you really want a black background you'll need to draw a frame, fill it with black and place it on the master page on it's own bottom layer. Lock the layer to prevent any problems.

  • Need help exporting thumbnails (jpeg files are empty)

    Hello,
I'm having problems loading photos from my thumbnails in iPhoto. If I try to load a photo nothing happens, even after several minutes. My library has around 500 images, so I can't imagine it would take very long to load.
If I try to export a photo it just creates an empty jpeg file. I can get data on the photo (ie size, width, height) from inside iPhoto, but the actual jpeg file appears empty. So, is there anyway to export just the thumbnail? I'd rather have a smaller image of the original than nothing at all.
    Regards,
    Rob
    Powerbook G4 Mac OS X (10.3.9) iPhoto 5.0.4

however, during this process I got the following error message for many of the photos:
The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognized file type or the files may not contain data).
    Hello Rob,
this message means that you have this image in your library already, it prevents from duplicate.
The simplest way I found to solve this type of issue is to choose a picture that does not show up, but were you can see the thumbnail. Check the name (so called tittle) of the picture in iPhoto via info and find it on the drive via finder "apple-F" key combination (or menu edit/find/find).
1 - you find it under your iPhoto Library tree folder
1-1 - try to find out if folders names (iPhoto Library/2006/07/10/...which means : iPhoto Library/"year"/"month"/"day") has been changed. If no change has been done with finder, drag (do not copy) this pict out on desktop or other folder you can use, then drag it back in iPhoto window (not in finder folder), it should go back in the correct folder under iPhoto Library and show up again in full size.
check it first for several picts, if you find that all your picts are with the same problem you can consider taking all your picts out with finder and drag them back in iPhoto window
1-2 - you could also consider to repair your library by starting iPhoto holding down command-apple keys, but I have never tried it.
2 - your pict is NOT in iPhoto Library folder BUT on your drive, drag it back in iPhoto window, not in finder folder directly. It should show up in the correct location in iPhoto. You may have 2 thumbnails with same name in iPhoto window, just delete the one where you can't see full size pict.
this is unlikely to be the case from my point of view
3- your pict is not anymore on your drive... Somebody must have erased it directly from folder, meaning messing up directly in iPhoto library folder. Then check again 1-1.
this is unlikely to be the case from my point of view
You see the thumbnails because iPhoto it is a database that create thumbnails when importing pict, and they will last until you delete your pict within iPhoto. iPhoto refreshes it's database at that time. By doing things directly under finder just does not allow iPhoto database to be "aware" of what you are doing... so it cannot refresh it correctly. Then it messes up the complete stuff.
Hope this can help you, if not please post back an answer,
    Best regards,
    François

  • Need help exporting videos in final cut

Hi guys, I have been using Final Cut for about 6 months now and I am STILL having trouble exporting my files. I mean there are so many options I am unsure which one to choose.
This current wedding video I did for a client...due to my lack of expertise, the footage turned out very grainy. I still put together a decent video, and it was time for me to export the video in order to upload on vimeo. I do not know the proper settings to use when uploading to vimeo, so I just use Final Cut's Quicktime Conversion and I just export the file with LAN/Intranet settings. When I saw this footage, I noticed the grain was ALL GONE... but has aliasing
question # 1...why did this happen?
If I export the file as quicktime movie, the grain is all still there.
When its time for me to burn the movie, exported sending the the file to compression, and then using DVD: Best quality 90 minutes setting
when I saw the footage, GRAINY again!!
I threw the smaller file which had no grain on it but had aliasing...and the dvd, looked okay but the aliasing was still there, so obviously I'm doing SOMETHING wrong..
    here's the file
    http://vimeo.com/5312419
    pass: vimeoaccount101
Question #2: What is the best way for me to export my movies so that I see minimal grain and no Aliasing..
    Thanks!

First of all let me say you do great work. I was very impressed! I would hire you to do my wedding.
#1 As far as vimeo is concerned if you go to their help section they have very clear instructions as to the best specs for uploading video.
#2 With the graininess & Aliasing, we need to know more info. What camera/s did you use and at what settings(e.g. interlaced, progressive, etc.)
Off subject, I am curious to know how you achieved your pan effect. Was it hand held, did you use a glidecam? Once again I am a fan of how you pick and choose your shots...great work! You should be doing movies, not weddings.

  • FCP7 HELP - Exported quicktime mov plays differently than what I edited on the timeline. The playback shows the clips with ins and outs that are different than what I set in the clips when I edited - some are too early and the clips don't playback

    Please help ASAP.
    Specs: IOS 10.6.8
    Processor 2.4GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 -- Everything is edited, sourced, and stored on an 2TB external hard drive to make things go faster.
    Editing with FCP 7
When I export the sequence I edited with quicktime, the playback video is very different from what I edited on the timeline. The playback has the clips with ins and outs that are way off than what I cut, and some of the clips don't show at all or have changed transitions. However when I play in the timeline in FCP, the sequence is fine, just the way I cut it.
The source of the clips was one long .mov that I cut into clips for the timeline. Everything has gone smoothly but the exported .mov is just so different.
How can I get the time codes of the clips to be the same in the exported .movs? I just want the quicktime .mov to represent my edit exactly.
This video is due tomorrow - if the solution is too time consuming, can I play within the FCP player window and Log and Capture?
    Thanks,
    MV

What is your source material? Is it H.264? FCP does not work correctly with that material.
Click on a source clip in the FCP Browser, and once selected, type Command + 9 to see the item properties for the clip. Either report those properties, or take a screen shot of the item properties, and post that here.
Next, click anywhere in your timeline, and then type Command + 0 {zero} to see your Sequence Settings. Either report those Sequence Settings, or take a screen shot of the Sequence Settings and post that here.

  • Need help exporting in cs4

I am looking into a film major, or a television and brodcast major.
i biught a sony XR150 to film some stuff for portfolio (short films. I work at a TV station near me, so i can use the stuff i produced also.)
for some reason, i am having a MAJOR problem exporting my .mts footage. I can get it into premiere fine, i am just looking for a way to export it, and have it look as good as raw footage does.
I have done uncompressed avi, and that makes it.. streak? a bit. (hard to explain) and uncompressed mov, but that gives it a noise type look to it (yes like old tvs)
I have never delt with exporting .mts before, and i would really appreciate some export settings. Thank you all for helping me!
PS: I am on my phone, so i have some grammar mistakes!

no. when i do uncompressed avi. The video streaks. Like, lines dont match up. It is hard to explaine. All i know is uncompressed is still givingme a major loss in quality.
The uncompressed avi doesnt lose too much quality, but no matter what resolution i do with it, it puts black bars on top and bottom.
